    Happy 2022, John! Thanks for your very detailed demonstrations. I’m still on the fence about buying this newer version even though I like the bottom heating element. Your thick burger looked the best!🥰

    Great tips for freezing burgers. Thanks for sharing. I got a grill press by Curtis Stone. It's perfect size and cast iron for smash burgers.

    I’m glad I have the 6-in-1. I have a grill grate I can reverse to a smooth surface like your griddle. I, too, would not like splatter all over the place.

    Hi John, the reason they say to cook hamburger to 165 is at that temperature it kills e coli is my understanding.

    Interesting. I use frozen Angus burners on my original griddle. I add the burger at the preheat cycle and by the time it says add food, it’s perfect. I do the same for hot dogs.

    Jelly, appreciate the Thanksgiving treat! I had a thought, (yes it hurt ;P :) to keep your burgers from sticking to your freezer pan you could use non-stick spray and parchment, in particular, that non-stick grill spray from Pam or Weber, they sell it in the supermarket. Note, I don't own one of these, yet but I like your videos. Yes sir, those Martins Potato Rolls are my favorites too.

    It would be wise for Ninja or someone else to create a whole unit splatter shield for this unit.

    How about using ground “bottom” round instead of ground chuck? I use ground “bottom” round (have bottom round “roast” fresh ground)…no fat. It’s the best.

    • @JohnSanders

    Hamburgers swell as they cook. The purpose of the Cuisinart press is to make a depression in the center of the raw patty. Now, the depression will swell from cooking and you will end up, in theory, with a flat burger. Happy Thanksgiving.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  2 роки тому

      This one is a little more aggressive in the center and I think the theory is a hamburger bowl but you could be right... thanks for commenting and happy Thanksgiving
