So, if Litten is turning into a dirty fighter, what if it got a dark move that's super effective against fighting-types?
the split evolution theory for the starters and rockruff seems very believable due two the pokemon company confirming that 4 specific pokemon have something special about them

They said on Serebii.net (it was an old post of picture in CoroCoro) that Rockruff (Iwanko) and the starters, and I quote: "ALL SHARE A SPECIAL SECRET!" THIS could be it! Mulit-evolution line! This leak just keeps making more as times goes by.

I'm gonna be extremely disappointed if these are real. Not because of Rowlet's and Popplio's evos, I actually kinda like them, but because of Litten's. I hate when Gamefreak make a four legged Pokémon that stands on two legs when It evolves. It's why I was so disappointed in Delphox. I was really hoping for a really cool, four-legged, mystical fox, and then Delphox happened. With Litten, I'm hoping for a really badass tiger Pokémon. I just really hope these aren't real because of that. :/

Litten's final evolution reminds me of Rath from Ben 10. Rowlet's evolution looks cool as hell to me, other than Kanto and Johto, I've always picked the Grass type starter, and in very pleased with how it looks. As for Popplio, Gian was right about it being a "Careful who you call ugly in middle school" kind of Pokemon. You already know there's gonna be tons of hentai of this Pokemon
A bit insensitive to hope for more leaks, don't you think? There's a team who put a lot of research and time and effort and creativity into these games. From what's already been officially revealed, we know Pokémon and GameFreak have really pushed boundaries and gone out of their way to make this game really special and fresh for fans. I can imagine how much it must disappoint them to see their hard work revealed early by someone else and in poor quality. Fans are super interested and it's hard not to speculate about these things once they're out into the world, but it sucks that they're being spoiled by someone who stole GameFreak's work.
+Sy Martin Gamefreak hasn't pushed back release dates, at least not as far as I know, but other major gaming companies have. Something was leaked, so they took another month or so to change parts of the game that were leaked, and took another month to recall the dates, set new ones, translate them, and send out the shipments. Dude I don't even live in Japan and style and design of those guys looks exactly like the ones used on real pokemons, also those sheets are concepts arts for the anime (not the games) which explains why Ash is in there.
I believe z-sync (basically ash-greninja but in the game) is a possibility since on the pokemon website it still says for each starter that they have a secret yet to be revealed and the secret wouldnt be the fact that they evolve just like every other pokemon. Maybe since their is an emphasis on bonds we may get some type of z-sync along with z-movs. Just a thought
Nice video guys. a lot of leaks out there with a surprising amount of credibility behind them yesterday was a huge news day so thanks for explaining it all especially the leaks! I remember laughing and discrediting the leak when they mentioned water growlithe but now we just don't know. Sure there are no dogs that live in the water but there are dogs that are bred for all types of water work, so one reasoning for the change could be they bring growlithe over and developed it for water rescue and general coastal/island life.

I've never really looked at these leaks in detail before clicking on your video, but now that I'm seeing them I'm convinced they might be production cels for the animation team. These seem to have been made before the Pokemon even had names as Littens only says "Tiger3" and Rowlets says "Owl3". Not entirely sure what Popplio's says the font is kind of hard to read but my best bet would be アシク3 (ashiku3) which doesn't seem to translate to anything. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!) But just like everyone else I'll be waiting for official confirmation.
The thing that still leads me to believe that Litten's final evo with be a dark-type is it data entry, claiming that Tora (it's Japanese name, apparently) fights with underhanded techniques, which common trait's of dark type. I suspect that Tora will be able to learn Fighting-type moves, and/or it may gain a signature move that has dual-typing (like Hawlucha's Flying Press), based on two of the drawings.

You can also see that the litten final evolution is spitting out something that looks like oil in the concept art. that matches with what we know litten does to breathe fire (oily hair-balls).
If each starter has two forms and the form is determined by the time of day, then there would be more day-oriented evolutions and night-oriented evolutions. If that's the case, I'd say these look more like night evolutions due to Rowlett's form's more sneaky looking appearance, in addition, I could picture Poplio's as more night-oriented as well. On the other side, I can't really see these being day-oriented forms because Rowlett doesn't really look like it.

It could have been concept art for a proposed final evo and they threw in characters that were already designed(even the "Mallow" in the concept art seems preliminary) this could have been before an evolution was settled upon. So while yes Mallow is there, that doesn't mean the evos are the official ones(or alternative ones assuming the time of day evos is true) Though a Strongman, Singer and Archer brings to mind an entertainment motif.
Can't wait until Pokemon Star comes out though and we get Rockruff as a starter.(Like Pikachu is the fourth Kanto starter, I kinda want Rockruff to be like that too)
a justification for the growlithe could be that a group of growlithe were brought to the the Alolan region by earlier settlers but were washed up by a monsoon or storm into a enclosed area that wasn't easily accessible kinda of like the area on melee melee island that is closed off by rocks. The growlithe may have had to adapt to the area so that they would die off from starvation so they had to get used to fishing in the salty cove.

There are dog breeds that are bred to rescue people in the water: Portuguese Water Dog. Maybe growlithe line changed this way due to increased exposure to water in this way (being an island)

Just realized it because of all the forms and all the talk of split Evos and yada yada, the islands are based off of Hawaii and the Galapagos. Strictly because of Darwin's Finches, and how each area had different birds based on where it lived. Kind of explains all the variations

I hope it's true, so then you'd have options too see what final evolution you'd want also maybe have some diversity in competitive play if the different forms have different stats and maybe different abilities.
At the very least, we can keep watch on these since they got very little wrong. I'm pretty much sold on the evolution leak being real because why else would it have a major character visually portrayed accurately before their official reveal? And like you guys said, the attention to detail and content of the pictures themselves shows more work than what's typically shown in fanart of Pokemon. If they are final, I won't be disappointed with my decision to pick Litten. It's not what I expected but I think it looks cool.

I'm gonna be extremely disappointed if these are real. Not because of Rowlet's and Popplio's evos, I actually kinda like them, but because of Litten's. I hate when Gamefreak make a four legged Pokémon that stands on two legs when It evolves. It's why I was so disappointed in Delphox. I was really hoping for a really cool, four-legged, mystical fox, and then Delphox happened. With Litten, I'm hoping for a really badass tiger Pokémon. I just really hope these aren't real because of that. :/
At this point I'm not sure why you're so surprised. Gamefreak just seems to hate the fire type starters now. If these are official, that makes Litten the third fire starter in a row to be bipedal when it clearly has no business being it. Well, as long as it's not Fire/Fighting.

Litten's final evolution reminds me of Rath from Ben 10. Rowlet's evolution looks cool as hell to me, other than Kanto and Johto, I've always picked the Grass type starter, and in very pleased with how it looks. As for Popplio, Gian was right about it being a "Careful who you call ugly in middle school" kind of Pokemon. You already know there's gonna be tons of hentai of this Pokemon

A bit insensitive to hope for more leaks, don't you think? There's a team who put a lot of research and time and effort and creativity into these games. From what's already been officially revealed, we know Pokémon and GameFreak have really pushed boundaries and gone out of their way to make this game really special and fresh for fans. I can imagine how much it must disappoint them to see their hard work revealed early by someone else and in poor quality. Fans are super interested and it's hard not to speculate about these things once they're out into the world, but it sucks that they're being spoiled by someone who stole GameFreak's work.
Because of this, they might even have to push back their work. It's happened before.

Something was leaked, so they took another month or so to change parts of the game that were leaked, and took another month to recall the dates, set new ones, translate them, and send out the shipments. I mean, can you imagine having to remake over a million games because someone couldn't keep their mouth shut?
Hold up! Point #10 of the "split evos" leak says that pokemon transferred over will have the gen5 typing/stats. Does this mean that Jigglypuff will be pure Normal type for example?? Maybe they just weren't entirely clear on the details, but what if they are?

Dude I don't even live in Japan and style and design of those guys looks exactly like the ones used on real pokemons, also those sheets are concepts arts for the anime (not the games) which explains why Ash is in there.

I believe z-sync (basically ash-greninja but in the game) is a possibility since on the pokemon website it still says for each starter that they have a secret yet to be revealed and the secret wouldnt be the fact that they evolve just like every other pokemon. Maybe since their is an emphasis on bonds we may get some type of z-sync along with z-movs. Just a thought

Nice video guys. a lot of leaks out there with a surprising amount of credibility behind them yesterday was a huge news day so thanks for explaining it all especially the leaks! I remember laughing and discrediting the leak when they mentioned water growlithe but now we just don't know.
Sure there are no dogs that live in the water but there are dogs that are bred for all types of water work, so one reasoning for the change could be they bring growlithe over and developed it for water rescue and general coastal/island life.

I was all for rowlett when he was released along with the starters, but honestly popplios final evo looks like milotic, and thats really cool. Plus water fairy is an amazing typing, i want that!!

I've never really looked at these leaks in detail before clicking on your video, but now that I'm seeing them I'm convinced they might be production cels for the animation team. These seem to have been made before the Pokemon even had names as Littens only says "Tiger3" and Rowlets says "Owl3". Not entirely sure what Popplio's says the font is kind of hard to read but my best bet would be アシク3 (ashiku3) which doesn't seem to translate to anything. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!)
But just like everyone else I'll be waiting for official confirmation.
The thing that still leads me to believe that Litten's final evo with be a dark-type is it data entry, claiming that Tora (it's Japanese name, apparently) fights with underhanded techniques, which common trait's of dark type. I suspect that Tora will be able to learn Fighting-type moves, and/or it may gain a signature move that has dual-typing (like Hawlucha's Flying Press), based on two of the drawings.

You can also see that the litten final evolution is spitting out something that looks like oil in the concept art. that matches with what we know litten does to breathe fire (oily hair-balls).
If each starter has two forms and the form is determined by the time of day, then there would be more day-oriented evolutions and night-oriented evolutions. If that's the case, I'd say these look more like night evolutions due to Rowlett's form's more sneaky looking appearance, in addition, I could picture Poplio's as more night-oriented as well. On the other side, I can't really see these being day-oriented forms because Rowlett doesn't really look like it.

It could have been concept art for a proposed final evo and they threw in characters that were already designed(even the "Mallow" in the concept art seems preliminary) this could have been before an evolution was settled upon. So while yes Mallow is there, that doesn't mean the evos are the official ones(or alternative ones assuming the time of day evos is true)
Though a Strongman, Singer and Archer brings to mind an entertainment motif.
Can't wait until Pokemon Star comes out though and we get Rockruff as a starter.(Like Pikachu is the fourth Kanto starter, I kinda want Rockruff to be like that too)
a justification for the growlithe could be that a group of growlithe were brought to the the Alolan region by earlier settlers but were washed up by a monsoon or storm into a enclosed area that wasn't easily accessible kinda of like the area on melee melee island that is closed off by rocks. The growlithe may have had to adapt to the area so that they would die off from starvation so they had to get used to fishing in the salty cove.
ok, let switch 4 traded evo line's types of 1st gen around:
- Alakazam found 2 heavy spoons and started working out ~> fighting type
- Machamp unleashed the power from his belt, he exploded (dead) ~> ghost type
- Gengar possessed a...rock or drinking too much waste ~> rock type
- Golem started using his brain or whatever to levitate his 1 ton body ~> psychic type
There are dog breeds that are bred to rescue people in the water: Portuguese Water Dog. Maybe growlithe line changed this way due to increased exposure to water in this way (being an island)

Just realized it because of all the forms and all the talk of split Evos and yada yada, the islands are based off of Hawaii and the Galapagos. Strictly because of Darwin's Finches, and how each area had different birds based on where it lived. Kind of explains all the variations
I could see them explain the water growlithe by saying that they became water types to secure a reliable food source.
Interested to see about Dodrio getting a new forme. As one of my favorite Pokémon, I enjoyed it's Normal STAB from Façade and Return. If it's fighting I'm just curious to see the new design!
The split evolutions would be beast!!! Also seems plausible cuz well sun and moon are the titles. I hope it's true, so then you'd have options too see what final evolution you'd want also maybe have some diversity in competitive play if the different forms have different stats and maybe different abilities.

At the very least, we can keep watch on these since they got very little wrong. I'm pretty much sold on the evolution leak being real because why else would it have a major character visually portrayed accurately before their official reveal? And like you guys said, the attention to detail and content of the pictures themselves shows more work than what's typically shown in fanart of Pokemon. If they are final, I won't be disappointed with my decision to pick Litten. It's not what I expected but I think it looks cool.
Litten's final form could be fighting type because it would be weak to flying type, but since it is also fire type it will be super effective against the grass starter.
now looking back at Yungoos, they did say it's not a regional pokemon and was brought over to deal with a pokemon on the islands, and with research i found there were weasels brought to the Hawaiian islands to get rid of rats. so~...maybe it's not too out there that Rattatas and Raticates that they would turn dark type, trying to survive.
Corocoro said themselves when Rockruff was announced that Rockruff, Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio all shared a "secret". Clearly it is not Z-Moves since that is available for every pokemon.
The split evolution thing is looking more and more likely.
