WARNING! Please do not try this at home. This is a situation that can be very dangerous for you, your horse, and the people around you. This is a sponsored video by Tractor Supply and the store was given a heads up that I was coming by beforehand so that they could prep the store and make sure it would be safe for us. My brother, friend, and boyfriend Denton's cousin also work at this store and were able to help with this as well! I am also a professional in the equine industry and know my horse and I would be able to handle this kind of interaction with no problems! He showed me no signs of discomfort in the store, otherwise I would’ve called it and taken him out of the store. G Equine relatable. There were carrots in a feed bag on floor in the stables (our barn buys in bulk and it’s free for taking.) and my horse bit the bag and lifted it up, then he turned it upside down and dumped them out and started munching. I had to clean it up.

Phoenix and me yeah, red or pink would look better. And if you've got more of an orangey Chestnut then orange would work too.
Wow Owen is so brave and well behaved this entire video! For it being his first time ever in a store he looks relatively comfortable. He must trust you heaps for him to not be overwhelmed by everything and bolt!

@@kadenolivia194 I worked with horses from the time I was 9 till about 16 and I can tell you that that horse is not scared or uncomfortable. If you're referencing him stopping at the beginning and then continuing to walk, it was because it was a new place and he was briefly assessing the situation. Any horse would have done that besgore continuing in a new place. His ears were not pinned back or anything, so he was not uncomfortable.
That’s an extremely well behaved horse! And for everyone know you can open anything in a store but you have to pay for it afterwards.

Actually there is a sign on every tractor supply that says leashed pets welcome. I work for TSC and I’ve seen just about everything come into the store.
You really thought everything through to make sure Owen stayed safe. He is a very lucky horse to have you as his owner!👍
FOR EVERYONE HATIN:Claire knows her horse well and knows what he will be scared by, Owen is a very relaxed horse and if he showed signs of fear, Claire would have taken him home right away.And for everyone saying: Even well trained horses get spooked from loud noised etc etc, they pre setup the store as they knew she was coming. They would have avoided doing anything remotely scary. Owen was clearly very interested and actually probably enjoyed it! If he had been kicking and nervously pooing and spooking etc then sure I would agree with y'all, but he wasn't like at all. So stop
I went to a horse shop and there was a horse in there that had a heart attack and sadly died in there so if Clair nows her horse well enough she would have done everything to get him out and home
She might know her horse well but still something bad could have happened and bc of people like this sometimes it punishes every equestrian.

Horses DO NOT belong in shops. In my eyes, you'd know nothing about horses if you did this. Horses are unpredictable.

Sure, since tons of metal shelves with sharp edges and other customers are not a danger at all if that horse starts to panic. Just completly irresponsible, even with shoes and helmets and airbags and and and, what do you want to proof with that, do you lack attention in your life?

Lol you’re a good horse parent for taking all of these precautions. I’ve seen people carelessly ride their horses in public and put others at risk of injury. You did careful planning and I salute you for that.

you never know in life. I hope that someday you dream comes true to have your own horse. For now if it is possible you could vollenteer at a rescue or local farm. Thats what I am doing . I found some back yard farms and wrote to them and made a new friend who is happy to share her horses with me and it helps her out too with grooming and attention for her horses.
Not horse related, but I noticed that there are so many similarities this is exactly how it is going into non pet friendly stores with a service dog you literally become a spectacle. If anyone ever wonders how it is having a service dog in public this is pretty much how it is! minus all the petting😁
It's creepy getting stared at all the time I've got a service dog and people stare at 13 year old me like "bruh, you a kid why you need a dog" and I'm like "screw you. Not all problems are on the outside even though I do have problems on the outside and inside....*cough*...

Ok. Just to rephrase my comment, I HATE when people just take their horses into a store. What I meant to say was that this was the best video that I have seen of taking a horse into a store. I was just adding another thing on my comment on why I liked the video. I haven’t seen anybody use boots, for extra traction on the ground, in any of these types of these stupid videos.
