Die 1988 in New York gegründeten Spin Doctors lassen in ihren prägnanten Stil seit jeher Einflüsse aus Funk, Jazz, Grunge, 70ies-Rock und Folk fließen. These guys have a great sound, funky bass player, groovy groovy drummer, hot ass guitar player and a wacky singer... a killer combo.

I absolutely love Mark White's swirling bass lines.
Me too--just love his snaky, funky and yes--swirling grooves. What a badass. He and Comess are such a monster rhythm section!

These Gentleman have the gift of Groove, I was born in the 50's, grew up listening to all the greats, I've seen a who's who of the greats live, these Cat's can stand with anyone, the musicianship is excellent, lead vocal is the exception, he never imitates he only creates, fabulous Band who's music has stood the test of time.👑
My daughter and I listened to this while putting puzzles together. She was early teen. We reminisce every time we hear this. What a great sound!!!!

One of my favorites in the early 90s...I was in high school long hair in love of alternative music and with an affinity with funk rock...in this days every buty goes out to play they old songs...but wath about always puting out new records at least every 4 years...only a few

On the flight from Munich to Sydney Two Princess was played over and over again. We hated it! As we landed in Sydney, we loved it and immediately bought the record and played it over and over again. One of the best albums of this time!
Saw them live in '93 and still just as awesome!
Saw em play in Dallas around 2012 with Joan Jet. Short set but as good as ever.

I wish I had known how hot this band was. I remember "Two Princes" and "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong" from when they were in rotation, but only now, thanks to the wonders of Yootoob do I see what I've been missing. Top notch band all over!
Seen them Live in Germany, Cologne back in the days. Let me tell you, it was a blast!
I got turned on to "LMCBW" in about 1995 by a ZZT0P tribute band that did one set of covers, had to have my own.
Got introduced to 2 Princes, couldn't decide upon which song I liked best. Then an amazing thing happened; I realized I like ALL their songs ! This video is a stunning example of exactly WHY!
Soon I had "Pocket of Kryptonite" as well as "Home Belly Groove" .
I can keep Spin Doocters in my truck CD player for months at a time, fortunately my G/F likes them that much too.
Tonight I'm the proud owner of "If the River Were Whiskey" @ 69 y/o.
I've done LMCBW at karaoke in a few country bars and brought the house down with applause, and
my singing isn't that good !
Truly a totally unique band.
One of the best RHYTHM SECTIONS to ever exist, plus the juxtaposition of Chris' very ultra-cool tone... It's as if they were all born at the exact time on earth, in different places, and accidentally crossed each other's paths. Perhaps they all have the same father, or mother. Oh. wait... no. because one of them is black. Oh wait, no! maybe,. the other 3 are black, and wear makeup/masks. Who knows. Whatever it is, it's always been a miracle.
This is fun. They -- and a bunch of other really good bands around their time -- were big during my "mommy years" so I didn't appreciate them enough.
This a FANTASTIC band doin a FANTASTIC show!

Saw them live twice. Was a college student at UVa in Charlottesville from 91-94 and saw them in UHall opening for (get this) Dylan! They killed it. Then saw them years ago outside in Nashville at Cannery Ballroom/Mercy Lounge. Still had it!!! Eric plays with minimal effecta and sounds huge with no second guitar or keys. This band kicks!

I know-I looked for it too-it's one of my favorites! If any of you haven't heard it, check it out! However, I think "Shinbone Alley" is just as good! The version from Homebelly Groove is on UA-cam as well, monster groove throughout!
