Once again they cleared an ultimate just so they can post the final phase OST. Truly a mad lad

Ryne out here putting a fight against the Warrior of Light on who can hold the most voices inside their heads.
Obsessed with how they edited this track just slightly to make sure it synced with the enrage sequence. They didn't want to cut the phase short and get rid of that last 2-minute burst, and they also didn't want the music to start playing at an awkward time to force it to sync. It's just a tiny detail that I appreciate so damn much. The immersion for this final phase felt so genuine.
(For the unaware, the opening guitar section is only supposed to play once before the drums kick in. In FRU, it's repeated twice before the drums start up before continuing as normal.)
I love having the music in sync with the battle. I hope they do it more often in future fights!

That enrage sequence is INSANE holy shit
I remember seeing people saying they were disappointed in this being the final phase song when clears first started popping up. That's totally fair if it's not your thing but it seemed like some people were bummed because they were expecting a totally new song and this one had been around for a bit prior to the Ultimate? Except I had no idea this version of the song existed before I heard it following the Ultimate race and I'm guessing it was the same for a lot of other people too. If you have a banger in the chamber ready to go then why not use it?
I also just loved how it's way more upbeat than the original. Really gives the feeling that you're on the home stretch. You're gonna win and help your girls beat this guy. I love a final phase that pumps you up like that. Sort of felt a bit like the Endsinger finale in a way. That "now it's my turn" energy.
