Hey, thanks for sharing your experience, and that ride. Bobsled, skeleton, and luge are my favorite sports of the winter olympics, I would love to try it were I in better shape. Had I known this experience was available in my younger days I would've tried to make it happen, but I'm too old, and my body is worn out, I couldn't deal with it now. But thanks for sharing, I enjoyed your ride. 😁👍
ok thats pretty cool, im wanting to get into competitive bobsledding and knowing about the experience ride along will help in my decision, thanks for the video!
Back in the 90s Lake Placid sent me an application for the Olympic team for Bob said but I never did anything with it. I still would like to experience this. I once played ice hockey some for the Adult Hockey scrimmage League @ Colorado College Honnen ice rink where the late Bob Johnson used to coach at
How would you compare the roughness to an old fashion open car roller coaster? On the website, I've seen pictures of wheeled bobsleds. Do you know anything about that?
Honestly I would say it was a smoother ride than an old fashion open car roller coaster. I guess since there are no tracks it just glides smoother across the ice. I don't know anything about the wheeled bobsleds.
I did this 3 years ago. It's the ride o' yer LIFE! It's the kinda thing that if you think you'll like it, you'll love it and if you think you'll love it, you're gonna go apes*** BONKERS over. I was definitely in the latter category. I'm a huge roller coaster enthusiast so, to me, I was approaching it like it was a new coaster. And it's true that the experience is similar vis-a-vis the speed and G forces. HOWEVER, I kept coming back to this pesky detail: it's NOT steel wheels rolling on steel rails, it's a SHEET OF ICE. At 60mph. Sideways. TOTAL blast! Expensive but worth every nickel. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
Yeah I agree. I was not really knowing what to expect but once it got rolling it was fantastic! Loved it and wish it was a longer ride. Thanks for watching!

Really appreciate you explaining the camera setup. We're going in March and I was struggling to figure out what my GoPro options were.
Awesome glad it was helpful! It was a great experience and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Have fun!

Imagine the Lake Placid crocodile being at the end of the course
Would make it a lot more exciting 😂

The wheeled bobsleds go down the old track in the off-season
