How Lavash Bread Is Made In Armenia
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 сер 2019
- Lavash, a traditional regional flatbread enjoyed around the South Caucasus and western Asia, is an essential part of Armenian, Iranian, and Turkish cuisine. We traveled to Yerevan, Armenia, to see how it's made there and learn about the importance of lavash. In Armenia, the dough is thinly rolled out and slapped against a tonir (underground clay oven) to bake for a few seconds. When fresh, it can be eaten with cheese or kebab, or on its own.

anyone whoever travels will visit India, I didn't know you guys even need advertisment lol
That's such a nice thing! :)
If you travel to Turkey you won't be disappointed! I traveled there 3 times and I enjoyed the food most of all!
So many different kinds of flat breads, so little time!
Is that a brawl stars reference.
I think you can try all kinds of bread in the world, but only if you made it your life goal, that's the level of dedication needed.
you will end up visiting warzones, remote tribes, crime-filled cities, and even places that ban people from your country etc..... you will experience all kinds of hardships all over the world, but by the time your'e on your deathbed, sorrounded by grandkids you made with spouses from 28 countries, you can tell them (I made it).
I lived in Armenia for a couple months down the street from the Gumi Shuka. I never purchased lavash from there, instead a lot of delicious dried fruits! Watching this made me miss my time in Armenia ❤️
Greeting to our Armenian brothers and sisters. God bless Armenia.
We in jammu &kashmir india also prepare same way lawasa but not so big it is like our Indian punjabi rooti method is actually the same what they r showing
@@harishpandit5810 so bread is rooti?
@@wandilande9628 roti is not the only kind of bread me make and wheat is not the only grain we make it from
@@vizprave6721 btw roti is bread in my language
Meeting my uncle in Armenia. And my grandmother. She is a big bagger.
As a Pontic Greek, i am also very well aware of lavash bread as it is part of our cuisine too (we call it λαβάς). :-) Trully amazing bread, everyone must try it! Greetings to Armenia :-)

Its a part of turkish cuisine as well. So you all are the same huh...
This is honestly so cute of a person discovering their beautiful heritage. Good job.

Agreed - a Lavash maker puts her energy, her love, and care into making the bread, amazing.
Armenia has the best Lavash in the whole region , this brings up great memories of living there as a teenager for a couple months

Beautiful the Armenian people and their food. Lavash looks amazing. Wonderful culture.
Similar Breads and this technique is found in India too.....proves how culture travelled in olden days.

Lol 28th like and 200th view💕💕💕BTW i love this channel💕💕💕
I wanted to check out Lavash because a chef on youtube made a recipe using one and he stuffed and rolled it up with potatoes and meat. It looked really nice. Thanks for the video.
Yum! Watching this reminded me of my time in Israel where I saw people make Lafah, which is similar to Lavash.
I had one for the first time yesterday and it was delicious.
Love these types of videos

Me eating lavash while watching this video
Now that would make one hell of a monster burrito!!
It’s the same as chapati but larger. Yumminess 💕
I should be sleeping because I have work tomorrow. But this video of how bread is made in another country seems interesting...
In Northen Mexico (a part of the country that has mediterranean weather) we have something similar called Flour tortillas, you can enjoy them as they are, with butter, or wrap foods, like cheese, spiced chicken, meat or even to make a giant burrito, with meat, cheese, chopped onion, chili sauce and guacamole...they are so big that you'll be full with just half of it... it's a meal for two
Hello. Carlos, if u got family with diabetes, then watch out from the cheese and butter. 🙏🕊
I do put those lavash to make them more crispy in the oven, baste with some garlic oil, top with boursin cheese crab dip and top with chervil. Man delicious!!!
Thx for sharing. The vertical clay oven is ubiquitous in many cultural/ethnically cuisines! Would the lavash be the Armenian naan?
Wow! Thank you for focusing on Armenian cuisine ! Proud Armenian ✊🏼
I loved it
This would be amazing with traditional spicy herbs tomato sauce with mushrooms...yum
I think tonir is called tandoor in pakistan , india and lavash is called naan
I’m indian and that is true
Well it’s tandoori oven
Desire Aquas naan is much thicker bread. I buy it often for my digèrent types of pizzaz that I make
naan is leavened bread and much thicker
In china its call nang
oh man that looks good

Lavash! Lavash ! It’s heavenly testy, you can”t stop eating it! 👍

I love lavash. I'm eating lavash right now with chicken breast kebab, basmati rice, lemon, onions and sharazi 🥗. Salad Central Valley, California
Thanks
Sooooo delicious
soft lavash and naan have quite some resemblence. Naan goes really well with indian curries, I hope Lavash does the same!
The narrator looks so pretty :))) I really wanna try lavash with her :D
What is that at 1:15 ? Those look delicious.
And you have to admire the skill of these bakers - if I tried that I might manage to hook two or three of them - the rest would be on the oven floor.
Nice
Best bread in the world wish i could get some on the sunshine coast qld
So freakin difficult to make, yet so easy to chow down😆yumm 🖤❤️💜🧡💚💙🤎
Wonderful video!! Can you tell me the location of Tsirani Garden Restaurant and the Megerian Cultural Complex? I can't seem to find either on google maps..
Long Live Armenia !!! ARMENIA FOREVER !!! Best flat bread on earth !!
Before watching it i thought why the lavaash so dry but it was interesting to know that it's of two types!!!
I love shawarma with lavash more than peta bread
i love wheath lavash is yummy
Reminds me of ruti (chapatti) 😋😋
When i was a kid we mixed flour and water and fried it in a hot skillet. It was like a very thin pancake and we only made these because we were hungry. We had the flour and water on hand usually all the time.
Quanto sono belle e gentili queste signore.
E il pane dev'essere una bonta'
Lavash is a really good general use substitute for high carb breads. I can't speak for traditionally prepared lavash, but I use the Arnold's lavash bread for everything from wraps, grilled sandwiches, and even hotdogs, and the lower carb and higher protein content is game changing when you're on a diet and without sacrificing enjoyment by eating something disgusting.
I've never seen any Arnold's, only Joseph's Lavash.
EARLY! YUMMMY
