    Lavash recipe:
    -2 kg of bread flour
    -Warm water ( you will have to work on your baker skills and judge by eye as even the ladies didn’t tell exact quantity of water🙂)
    -1 Generous tablespoon of salt
    1 teaspoon of baking soda or old dough/starter (150g)

    Amazing video🙏 we have big respect for our bread, hence the reason we put cross on it and even kiss it if we have to throw it away, because a simple ingredient can feed someones stomach yet someone in the world is dying of hunger. Thank you again for sharing my beautiful people.

    Hey Kris! That was another wonderful video. I loved seeing the woman make the lavish just using their hands. The lady stretching the dough in the air was amazing. And no rips! I guess the dough is very elastic.
    When you sat in the hole and rolled it looked like a comfortable way to do it. How smart of them to come up with that idea. But the amazing thing to me was when you slapped the dough onto the side wall of the hot oven. I guess you have to time in correctly to grab it out in time, right? Would it peel off and fall to the bottom?
    Ok Kris this is another fabulous place to add to your "tours". Put it on the list please. Xxoo

    • @KrisKazlauskaite
      @KrisKazlauskaite  Рік тому

      Hello! Yes indeed it was so impressive to see these ladies working effortlessly! The part where they stretched the dough ao thinly was just wow! I tried doing 2 i think so definitely was not there to make like them😅
      When you stick it to the wall it stays fine as we sprinkled some water before and it didn’t fall, but yes they showed the technique how to grab the ‘pillow’ as it’s done in a certain way. Gosh it was so interesting, honestly. The most warm family ever🥹

    I am an Indian. I completed my postgraduate studies at the Yerevan State Medical University in Armenia in 2013, and I now reside in Australia. As a watcher, I could see that lady's (a teacher) startled expression as you quickly took her level of skill. Little did she know that you are a skilled master. I'd like to thank Kris Kazlauskaite for this wonderful trip back. PS: You did a great job picking up their craft and talent in producing lavash. nevertheless, this is my first comment despite being a fan for two years.

    I can't believe this video doesn't have more views. I searched tradition lavash bread recipe, because I think that's what it looked like Lebanese people are putting their falafel, tahini and other fillings into, and i just knew the tradition probably wasn't to cook it in a a frying pan. This is exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately I think I'm going to have to build an oven somehow similar to this, I have a turkish or maybe armenian meat pie thing that also requires one and it could also work for chinese peking duck and i'm sure i can find many other uses for it. This is a goal along with building an outdoor brick oven for pizza, focaccia etc.
