NAHH, GO TO THE GHETTO OF JAMICA, CAUSE I HAVE BEEN THERE AND PICK OUT SOMEONE, THEY DONT LOOK LIKE HIM THEY LOOK TYPICAL AFRICANS, SO PLS DONT TELL ME ABOUT HE A ACTUAL JAMAICAN
This was fire 🔥 need more Caribbean here man, I don’t like that the UK government make it so hard for Caribbeans to live/work/study/holiday in the UK. Other communities are not treated so harshly, and I’m sure that’s why they’re growing faster.
@@LippyLickshot oh ok, so me and Dale must be moving mad, in my defence it was about 12am and man put lickle hot pepper and salt pon it still. Kinda slaps
@@LippyLickshotDale is what's wrong with the Jamaican society. You should tell him he was there to have a discussion not teach patois.Yes Patois is beautiful but we cant expect the world to understand a bunch of conjoining slangs, that's just ridiculous.Jamaicans wouod be much more effective if we had a more realistic understanding of our influence ,we cant just think all will understand us .As a university graduate Dale should know better
oiiiiii mad mad maddddd unnu up to blawsenawt! yeah man Lickshit this isa good look. Dale, you a link up with the real deal. Yeah man a real pattern this. Salute
The closest thing to Jamaica is Gambia, we listen to dancehall music more than any country in the world and we have so many spots that look like Jamaica
My UK friends always side eye 👀 me when I call it avocado pear. They say it is just an avocado. I have to remind them that if you can't grow it you don't get to name it.
also is about time Carribean people understand that black American's are just as proud and patriotic as we our about the land that their forefathers was taken to, the land they consider home for us its Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Haiti Ect for them its USA its all the same thing they're foreign as all the Ancestors came from the Continent. the advantage Carribean Africans have over American Africans is we were taken to small, tiny islands where automatically we became the majority of the population therefore it was a lot easier to maintain our traditions, way of life, spirituality, and overall culture as a result things like our Art and Crafts, Textile, Food and DEFINATELY Music has bridged that gap or void between ourselves and our Brothers and Sisters on the Continent even if its unconscious, many will just put it down to them simply being Carribean nevertheless the facts are the facts. American Africans have a much larger wall to compete with as they've found themselves as minorities on foreign white land with extremely little to hold to so after a few generations they start believing the watered down slavery culture that they've to improvise is their culture. the majority are so far detached they don't even like to acknowledge they are African their just proud to be American.
Thank you for explaining this it has made me look at the situation differently. I wish we would all just listen, understand and respect each other instead of breaking off into tribes to fight against one another. We are all one people and so much stronger TOGETHER.
1:08 love the podcast guys. I have heard this before about African Americans not knowing where they come from. There is the "African" in the name, but essentially they are Americans! 🇺🇲Just like Jamaicans 🇯🇲. You confuse the arguement with "immigrant groups" who go to America to start a life there. They are separate from descendents of slaves since the 15century , that's nearly six generations. The culture of African American as said by Godfrey's podcast is strong and has exported worldwide. Ie hip hop and RnB. The civil rights movement. They give America a distinct identity.
Firstly: I enjoyed your pod guys, as for cooking my generation the 70's are superb at preparing and cooking food. Secondly: No man should put his mouth on a female under carriage. Thirdly: Birmingham did a boycott on the Marley movie because no Jamaican were in the movie. Fourthly: Well-done Dale ❤

Also Caribbean is two B/s and not two R/s
We (Jamaicans) don't get treated like shit in our adopted country of Jamaica. Black Americans get a rough ride in a land they love - it's strange.
