I use the Violence Against Women’s Act. I got married in Jamaica. We went to high school together in Jamaica. I came up on a one entry. I got six months when I came and then I filed for an extension and got 9 more months to stay in status. The abuse came financially, physiologically, emotionally physically…the law got involved after the physical abuse. I got a lawyer and she filed for my work permit and then she filed for my green card. ❤ She did all my paperwork, was so happy she was my advocate. I got my 10 year green card, my husband at the time didn’t even know I was doing that and I would get thru. I found his passport and made copies because I had to prove he is a citizen of the US. I’m here 20 years now and I’m a citizen.
Sir Clark, i know about him yrs ago, his name bigger than him😅 but i was scrolling thru tiktok n saw his video, n i was like, great that's the way to go, so I'm glad he did because i get to shared his videos with my friends just to get info...I saw videos with Canadian immigration lawyers, but never saw a Jamaican immigration lawyer in the usa... n i mus saw I'm proud of him n his growth.. the office extention🔥🔥🔥 Now Jamaica, new york, Florida soon continue to grow my bro💯💯💯

You make it sound easy to get a green card but until u in the position in finding a spouse etc then u will understand..not everyone has it easy!!
But just don't be discouraged or complacent about it though, because nothing worse than being stuck there and not being able to move about like you're a criminal
Information ,information,information.Look,with this knowledge someone can make an informed decision.Right now I'm shocked to know that as a Canadian the odds were against me adjusting my status ...I'm like Dale google Lawyer..I stumbled into another option..Don't lose hope..Keep your head up.Research research.Then when it's right apply your knowledge..
Try to find love, and the greencard will follow. Don't try to find a green card. A lot of single sincere citizens are available. You will cause people to sabotage you after they learn that you married them for a greencard when they genuinely wanted a family with you.
@@myluv1942 welll in this case I don't need a card I just spoke openly about friends past situations and even when u genuinely want they use it against u most times..
@@myluv1942 I beg to defer.Yiur pure intentions really don't matter.Its about power and control.When folks get you in a vulnerable position and with people whispering in there ear.That can turn them into monsters .It happens over and over again.Know that if you go on this journey it can end badly.

Honestly, this domestic violence case is not always a problem with people. My ex physically assaulted me, they dropped the case and he was able to filed VAWA and got his green card. Him file VAWA after I applied for a divorce and GOT IT. Text book and general practice doesn’t always work. There are many loopholes.
If he had an ounce of proof that you emotionally abused him, then he would have a case. For example, did you send him any text message threatening him to pack his stuff and leave, or that you are going to kick him out, or you not going to cook any food for him. VAWA case is not just physical abuse. It can be emotional turmoil, financial, etc.
@@myluv1942 none of that. Which is why one persons case cannot predict another. I’m still in awe at how he was granted his green card. But I guess that’s his blessing from God that nothing or no one could have blocked.

In Connecticut you can’t vote but you be on jury duty now but previously you cud not serve but it changed in this state but every states law are different. I was surprised cus the court to relief you from when you got green card cus I verified with the court when I was told this by someone 👍😳

Yes, if you are a green card holder you can file for your spouse. You don’t have to be a citizen to file for your husband. (P.s. I worked in a law office for 2years)

I appreciate your share , but there is no need for a lawyer, if there is no conditions on your Green Card when filing for your citizenship. It is about reading and understanding the question on the application.

Find out your options. Remember that marrying just for immigration purposes is fraud, and you cannot come back from that. Just consult a lawyer to tel you what your options are.
