Cusco and Machu Picchu are definitely highly spiritual locales.

Being from Colorado, I fortunately didn't have any issues adjusting to the altitude in Peru. I climb a lot of the 14k peaks in Colorado. Plus there are cities, like Leadville, in Colorado that are close to the same altitude as Cusco.

Wow! Good for you! 🥳🙌🏽 Thanks for letting me know. Maybe try the mountains in Huaraz on your next visit 😎

@@StefsPeruTravelTips I'd really like to explore more of Peru if I ever get a chance. I was there for about 10 weeks and I felt like I was just scratching the surface. Some of those peaks near 20,000 feet seem like they would be quite intense. I wanted to do El Misti while I was in Arequipa, but I didn't have enough time to arrange that.

@@URin1984 Whoa! Ten weeks??? What did you do during that time? Yeah, if you want to properly see as much of Peru as possible without killing yourself in the process by speeding your way through it all, then you definitely need a few months for sure! Maybe half a year at the very least.

@@StefsPeruTravelTips Yeah Peru definitely has a lot to see.
I spent about 10 weeks in Peru in 2017. I traveled for about 3.5 weeks and volunteered in the amazon for about 6.5 weeks. For the first 3.5 weeks, I basically did the South of Lima route. From Lima, myself and a friend, went to Cusco. From Cusco, we took a bus all the way to Santa Maria and eventually ended up at Hydroelectica. We walked along the railroad tracks to Aguas Calientes. From Aguas Calientes, we walked up to Machu Picchu and then up to the top of Montaña. We then returned to Aguas Calientes and then walked back to the same spot at hydroelectrica the next day. From there, we took a taxi ride to Ollantaytambo. Then we returned to Cusco. I got a chance to take a bus from Cusco where I summited Rainbow Mountain.
After being in Cusco for a few days, we got on a Peru Hop bus one night that drove us all the way to Puno. We then got back on a Peru Hop buses, which drove us to Arequipa, then to Huacachina, then to Paracas, and then eventually back to Lima.
My friend flew back to the US and I caught a flight to Pucallpa. From Pucallpa, I caught taxi rides to Curimana and then to Bello Horizonte. From there, I made my way to a wildlife refuge in the middle of the Amazon, called Esperanza Verde, where I volunteered for about 6 weeks.
It was a very awesome and rewarding 10 weeks😄

Awesome video, will be in Peru next year in November thru mid January. It'll be a coastal trip for me but my wife can go to the high altitudes. Not me I get sick at anything above 4000 ft.

Just some thought for content. Farming in Peru, so much fruit and vegetables come to the US. from Peru. This is one of our things we want to see when we are there. My wife (Korean) and I are both traveling farmers that travel the world together. I'm retired now but we still farm and I enjoy watching UA-cam channels that are about farming. Trust me there's not a farmer guy alive that would turn down an interview by a attractive young lady, such as yourself anywhere in the world. Their wives, well. Lol

@@thecountrybunkins8896 haha I was actually kind of thinking about that sort of thing today 😜 I got inspired to want to travel around to farms thanks to doing research on some fruit recently. But in all reality, I don’t think I will be able to make those kinds of videos until I get a license and car 🫠 which doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen anytime soon 🤪 You can keep praying though that I eventually get around to doing those kinds of videos 😎

    Those were awesome tips.
    Specially the acclimate one.
If you dont give your body at least a couple of days to get used to altitute. Sometimes that awesome traveled that you planned to, could end being at some hospital or emergency room with a mask of oxygene. This is not that usual but i have seen a couple of those cases.
In my case , when I go to Puno, I start to feel a little headache, not a big issue but i can bother me for a couple of hours.
