    Another entertaining video, Cap'n - thank you. Are the Bahamas today requiring formal clearance out. It was always so handy to just leave and mail one's departure form later. To the group: Let's chip in and buy Cap'n an electric outboard for that dinghy!

You have been an inspiration to me, since I had the other boat, the center console. I followed all the restructuring that you did to this one. Nice set of videos for this last trip Cappy, I like the way you broke it up over a few videos as 20 min or so lengths make it easier to hold our interest. I can't believe Bimini made you go back to check out before leaving (that's just plain Bullshit)! And says "don't come here we don't want your tourist dollars" oh well! They are getting their's though for thwarting tourism. . . Town looked very void of people and tourists. I agree with you to avoid Bimini until they change their rules.
    ** P.S. I used one of your links just yesterday to buy a $648 subwoofer on Amazon**. I'm always happy to help support your channel. I felt like I was on the trip with you filming your every move. It was 17 degrees in upstate NY a few nights ago. Watching your channel and trips helps keeps me sane until I can get my boat back on the water, probably late May.

      and 17 degrees that is cold . tomorrow i invite you to Florida to my live chat to talk about my trip and you will be getting 85 degree weather cap. this is a fast way to travel to Florida 👍🌤☀🌞

    Hi Capt... Epic video! The slo-mo shots of the bow-spray and waves are awesome! It looks like you had a choppy Gulf Stream crossing, but nothing you and your boat can't handle... Knowing that the Bahamas main source to commerce/revenue is tourism it's sad to see so few people there..

      Sad to say I think its here 2 stay for awhile. My hope is that the restrictions will ease up so its not so much of a hassle on tourism. I cant imagine how long a country like the bahamas will be able to endure this hit to their main commerce.

    Hi Captain.
    Looks like another great trip. It sucks to have to leave so soon when you put so much effort and $$$ into getting there. We have had it easy in the past going back and forth to the Bahamas with little paperwork. Looks like they are now requiring a check out like most other countries. Hopefully they back off of the process and things settle back down. You can always check out the day before as long as you are "in transit" out of the country and do not use the resources such as fishing diving and going on land. Anchoring overnight is OK. Many people check out from islands farther away and take several days to get out of Bahamian waters.
    Stay safe and keep those videos going.

    you need a footrest to place your feet while cruising. This footrest provides forward support when your boat hits a wave in front of the boat. I know you already have one on the chair pedestal but that is directly under the chair and does not provide forward motion support.

    • @OutOnTheReef

      Engine is a lot better but the engines are very reliable these days so there's a lot of confidence on them for not breaking down situation that can leave you stranded even if you have two or three engines is your hydraulic system so sometimes it doesn't really matter if you have two three four engines if your hydraulic goes all the engines go because you have no steering

    Good trip Cap! A couple of things I am curious about. The anchor pin you have to secure the anchor, would be good to see a close up view how it works on your setup. I have a short cable with a carabiner to secure mine. Haven't seen a pin method before. Also, I notice your horn on top of the hardtop...is it an air horn or electric? I am thinking to upgrade to air, but don't want the issues. I hear the electric one's made by Ongaro are now waterproof and are very loud. I have the dual mini horn, not trumpet style but they don't seem very loud. One other thing that would be cool to see is how you navigate into Bimini from the ocean. I saw the one red bouy ,but you were on the left side going out? Are there more than the one bouy? Looking at the satellite pic, it looks very shallow to approach and have to follow a long channel to get into Bimini?

    • @OutOnTheReef
      @OutOnTheReef  3 роки тому

      i will make a video soon on how i secure my anchor i think you will love the solution cap.
