I don’t know if you’ve done this type of video before, but it would be awesome, If you can do a tutorial video on how you solo launch and retrieve your boat. I am going to start doing that with my boat and it will be cool to have an exact idea how you do it

Good morning. Nice motor. I would think the first prop would give you more top end speed. Second prop give you more thrust out of the hole. Take both props along and you decide. Looking forward to a trip. Take care Captain
@@OutOnTheReef Here's the deal. Your boat will handle better in the ocean with a 4 blade prop. Your boat will stay on plane at a lower speed when the ocean gets rough with a 4 blade prop. You can slow down and not get beat up and still remain on plane when it is rough offshore. The 3 blade prop is typically a few mph faster at wide open throttle and is more fuel efficient. It all depends on what you want, Cap'n. Your rig is getting more awesome every passing day. Congrats on your latest upgrade. We will all get to enjoy it with you. In my opinion the Mercury Rev 4 prop is the top of the line in performance. It has a much better grip which will allow you to run your engine mounted higher on the transom which will increase your fuel economy. And...it is faster than other 4 blades. Had to save the best for last.
@@panamacitybeachbum Thank you, captain, and I will definitely look into that. And about the 4 blade propellers. You are right a 100%.Thank you for the great info captain
@@OutOnTheReef If you look at the rigging grommet you should find the speedometer hose. At the tip of this hose is a small nipple you will need to clip off the tip of the nipple. There will be an extension hose that will slip right over this nipple. Couple the hose and tip then zip tie it. At the ECM bracket you need to remove the speed sensor coupler and take the cap off. Install the speed sensor to the adapter and then tighten it to torque.
@@panamacitybeachbum Thank you, Panama City beach and I saw the tube, but I need a pressure sensor that I already ordered. So I should get that here at my home in about 2 days. And I wouldn't stall that.Thank you so much for your awesome help captain
In my view this is the engine the Parker should have had from day one, particularly given you travel offshore, torque is very important. This boat always appeared slightly too large (and heavy with your modifications) for the 2.8L 200hp. Good choice on repower cap.
Are you also looking at Pilot House type boat? I have the Parker 25SE CC, with wide beam. It fishes amazing, and I can even fish in the flats in about 16 inch of water with trolling motor. Love my boat, bought at Central Marine in St Pete.

GPS speed and indicated speed from the engine ( picked up by water pressure) may not always be the same. You can be dead on the water and the GPS will still show the speed of current as it moves the boat. Although the difference may be insignificant, especially in places with little current, there's still a difference b Also, it's always good to have more than one instrument reading a value, even if the difference is small, especially if one fails

Hey Cap I have an older '05 Parker 2120 with a new 200HP Mercury 20:14 I'm thinking about repowering with a 225 Yamaha. Any advice in terms of the added weight of the outboard vs the power, time to plane, efficiency, performance, etc. Good job and keep the videos Capitán!

Very heavy because it's only forty to sixty pounds extra captain
that V6 will turn a larger wheel.. you may want to consider a prop upgrade to get the best performance

I don’t know if you’ve done this type of video before, but it would be awesome, If you can do a tutorial video on how you solo launch and retrieve your boat. I am going to start doing that with my boat and it will be cool to have an exact idea how you do it
@@rudyu2767 Hello, captain.I have done some small portions of videos but nothing a hundred percent for that and thank you for the great suggestion captain and I hope you can learn exactly how to launch and retrieve by yourself
Good morning.
Nice motor.
I would think the first prop would give you more top end speed.
Second prop give you more thrust out of the hole.
Take both props along and you decide.
Looking forward to a trip.
Take care Captain
thanks cap and it makes sense ,i soon i will make a trip i just need to installed a speedometer 👍
@DJ-qu4gl Thank you, captain.I agree with you a 100% on your comment. This boat was always under power. Now it feels alive 👍👍⚓️

well cap the Gps has Kilometers thats why i was not reading it right but now i got a speedometer sensor and i will be installing it and yes i will bring you difference on fuel economy and thats great to know about the 10 hrs cap. thanks
GPS speed and indicated speed from the engine ( picked up by water pressure) may not always be the same. You can be dead on the water and the GPS will still show the speed of current as it moves the boat.
Although the difference may be insignificant, especially in places with little current, there's still a difference b
Also, it's always good to have more than one instrument reading a value, even if the difference is small, especially if one fails
