i bought a new one March 2022 and love it. I didn't think much of the blind side detection either as I shared the "no blind spots on bikes" until I went though the 6 lanes of highway in Columbus OH May 2022. There was a terrible storm and the rain was pelting. Cars ripping around and between lanes. It was a tough decision as to pull over on a major highway or press on...both were terrible options. Pressing on, I loved and fully appreciated when the blind spot would activate letting me know as cagers were ripping past me. It was an exceptional piece of helpful tech. That being said...please bring no the adaptive cruise control Triumph. I'm sure it's in their back pocket for the next release. My only disappoint with the bike is the handle bar buzz. Much worst than my previous generation Tiger.
Great review. I thoroughly enjoy reading your reviews in the magazine, but seeing the bike in action while listening to the thorough review really takes it to the next level!
Few other points, on the U.K.spec GT PRO the DLR can’t by used in conjunction with the spots why? The heated grips are weak (but the heated seat is very good), and the pillion foot pegs / hanger digs into your leg when pulling it up onto the centre stand. Overall I rate it 8/10
To be honest I was waiting for him to mention something positive rather than nit picking about things he didn't like. Most of his complaints seem related to the size and weight of the bike. It's not a canyon carving sports bike, but then that's not what it's supposed to be. Comparing it's performance around the twisties to that of a much lighter Honda was just ridiculous. Let's see how that Honda tackles a trip to Alaska.
