It's so kind of you to trim your hedge on the neighbor's side. I wish my neighbor was as generous as you with his hedge.

You really explained the best. Thank you very much
If you leave your hedge wider at the top you will get noticeable gaps with thin growth at the bottom. Taper your hedge slightly towards the top for an even growth from top to bottom
another upside down cut

Thank you
what type of hedge is this and where did you buy it from?
. כלב רוסי ברוך אמ4 שהוא לא מקבל אותך בשום מקרה אז בני זה החלופה 😹כלב מריח לכלב
The "corner(s)" is at the ends of the hedge row, you like to trim the "leading edge" 45 degrees. Also you didn't show or explained how you get rid of the clippings. Rake, mulch or leaf blower? I mulch.
The tutorial is about hedge trimming - not what to do with the trimmings.
How do you trim a tall hedge that requires a ladder so that the height is even?
what type of shrub/tree is this that makes the hedge?
I think it is called boxwood .
great job, BTW..thank you for informative video .
Thanks
May I know what shrubs are those?
The Very nice video, thank you.
is the neighbors side trim identical to your driveway side trim? not sure you clarified that
🎯🤣
Don't you trim so hedge is wider at bottom than top??
Old Black & Decker trimmers...has a pair 20+ yrs
If you find powered cutters unwieldy, you may find you'll like old-fashioned manual shears better, as they're much lighter. Look for ones with angled handles to give some working room in terms of offset. Maybe not as fast as powered cutters, but more control. Nice and quiet and they have no cord in the way or battery to go dead. Other than that, going over the bushes with a rake after the rough trimming will shake out dead stuff and help with trimming down to a much neater appearance.

👏👏👏
Good job. Forget the trolls, some folks have too much time on their hands and love to leave a negative comment on anything they run across.
What kind of hedges are these?
The suburban ones
It looks like the top is wider than the bottom? This will eventually cause thinning at bottom of plant, top should always be narrower. Just look at any natural growing tree or bush.
Beerman Lawn if you look at the bottom middle you could see light coming

Spot on - it's called the "batter". Allows light to get to the whole of the sides.

An easy way to keep the top flat is to lay a piece of plywood on top of the hedge . Then put the hedge trimmer on top of the plywood, and simply rotate the trimmer around in a circle or to cut at both ends of the plywood. After that pick up the plywood and move it to the newly trimmed area and repeat the process all the way down the hedge till its all cut to the same level.
Fall or spring ?

it doesn't matter how uneven the top of the hedges you can make it perfectly even, use a 3-foot level or longer and put that on to get it perfectly even.
You need long reach trimmer for this job
Then you will get perfect results
I agree. Just did a time lapse bush trimming video too. I love this type of stuff.
You still need to trim and even up the base.
ua-cam.com/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/v-deo.html
We got a professional here boys
A little tip. Put a large plastic trash bag on the ground. It will make it easier to clean up
Not a bad video I gave it a thumbs up BUT hold it at a 45 degree angle and thank you for showing me that from 20 feet away?
Lol at that hedge trimmer
What hedge plant is this?
poseidon8888..... Its buxus or dogwood
ua-cam.com/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/v-deo.html
Trapezoid shaping is best for a hedge.

This guy sounds like Crispin Glover.
I'm just finishing the top of the hedges ..."Now BIff, Don't con me"
You just made a career out of this job, keep it simple
ua-cam.com/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/v-deo.html
You did not trim the hedge, you mowed it 😂
It's called trimming you mow a lawn and trim a hedge regardless of how much u r taking off.
My dad made me wach it
Your video is well done and informative. You left the worst job at the end of your video. "CLEAN UP" .IF YOU PURCHASE A 10' X 20' CHEAP TARP, FOLD IT IN HALF , LAY IT DOWN UNDER THE SIDE EDGE OF THE HEDGE. All the clippings will fall on the tarp, roll it up and clean up was super fast.
Wasn't really what I was looking for. I'm looking for instructions on cutting hedges way back that has overgrown. I'm thinking you cut it in sections and allow it to heal & fill in. Topping one is even more challenging. You're cutting the branch clusters out leaving a lot of straight stalks. They will rebranch in a year or so. The cut them close to the ground method will sometimes destroy your hedge and it may never fill in right. Don't do that! 🐀🐾
Day
Did he ever do the neighbors side? Stay tuned for the next episode to find out.....
wow he just missed that car
This guy won’t do the other side because he’s scared to ask his neighbor lol.
Hay speek menos ( -)
He didn't even line up the bottom 😂😂😂😂
For safety, people should wear gloves and long pants! Especially inexperienced people.
next, tell your neighbor to move his car, or just scratch the shit out of his paint job...your call, there boss!!

Morning sweet cheeks! No lazy day for me today! Im fuckin praying for rain 😩😩😩

You need new glasses. It is not level!
ua-cam.com/video/LQS-p1RYXRo/v-deo.html
Use a 3-foot level like I do and I get them perfect.
