“That was one of the most unathletic finishes I’ve ever seen in my entire life”. 😂. Glad someone said it. Homie looked like he was having an aneurism.😂😂
Your drills helped me a lot. I keep on doing some of the moves you are sharing and upon repititive practice. Everything comes naturally whenever i am playing. Thank you sir.
This mini semi Iverson killer cross over, he dint teach low hip enough and swing wide-fast from cross step and dont teach key point of set up step and read if defender react. I think Iverson cross is far more high level in this same cross but you have to teach right.
Here is a major concept to offensive basketball that may help younger players or even older ones. It’s quicker to change direction and go by ur opponents if u skip or bounce by them. Taking individual steps is slower. Hopefully this helps someone.
What is the reason someone may get crossover? It's has everything to do with your position on the person you are guarding also how quickly you can recover it you beat the defender will you finish quick enough are will your shot get blocked
I do this move alot to freeze defense, but that pump fake looks excessive. Like i always says, if u need three crosses to go by is better pass the ball (unless u are Kyrie lol)
Ty couch..can you teach us jams harden 3 stps lay up abov 3 point line..like the video houston vs heat, houston vs spurs dats clearly a above 3 point line take off. Ty.
I’m tryna figure out how it’s not a travel after he does the cross he takes two steps I understand it’s supposed to be a hesi but he plants both feet taking two steps ain’t u supposed to take a shot after
This cross over hesitation is from the 90's. I used to do it all of the time with both hands. Tyler is not showing him anything new. This was Allen Iverson go to move at Georgetown and the NBA. He even got MJ with it.
Love seeing white hoopers show people how to do black hooper moves lol lol fucking funny ... shit don’t look anything like how Iverson does it ... he had a whole commercial showing us how to do it lol lol knock it off
Ivica Petrić just get comfortable using moves to the become natural. I just used this last night on a guy that was 50lbs less than me. Tyler’s videos are great for the details. The without the details the move is still going to be effective. Just try them. He is teaching the correct concepts and ideas of the moves, to help understand the effectiveness. Though being absolutely correct doesn’t matter as much. Sorry for the carryon.
One isn’t better than the other.... I am a huge fan of having multiple ways to do things... there is more than 1 way to crossover... i like the technique but i like others also!
I might sound like a hater, but this is the reason the NBA is devoid of talent. Kids arent learning or practicing basics that actually amount 2 something. Coach is very skilled that's obvious but basics is what that's going to pay the bills
Yo Tyler if you are so good why didn't u make the nba! Saw a ig TV saying u didn't make it to nba and you were sad lol don't judge people when u urself use phone while training with others
Cuz there isn't that many skills trainer in China. There is a one called 千帆, but the top guards still go to the States to train themselves during summer. Some Chinese people even discourage players to use these "flashy" moves, like this coach for the Chinese national team who openly criticizes guards to initiate attacks. In their opinion, a guard's job was to bring the ball to the front court and pass the ball to the taller guys to finish.
I used to enjoy watching these kinds of videos until I realized that he's teaching things that I've been doing since I was a teenager, which I picked up from watching players and then emulating it on the court. Now I feel like this drilling down on specific moves is killing a player's creativity on the court.
Yes. But in competitive play, efficiency is most important. Like how a competitive chess player would sit in front of a computer and straight memorise the moves, basketball players would practice the same moves over and over. The more you practice, the faster and sharper the moves, and the easier it is to get to the basket
back in the day, there would have been like 500 carries called during the taping of this video. not sure why they stopped calling carries 15-20yrs ago. guess they want a high scoring offensive league. thats why i stopped watching this garbage
"Good now get a regular ball" 😂 That heavy ball gets that crossover FAST

It’s a heavy ball being used! We were just having fun 😂
He layed it up with the wrong leg too
@@n.laughpuff6653 you can do that though laying the ball up with the wrong leg, some players do it to delay the shot blockers timing on finishes
The lady definitely did not translate that. Sure didn't wanna hurt the guy's feelings 😂😂
😂😂😂
Killer move. Tough to defend. I'mma add this to my learnings. Thanks Ty!

This channel is by far the best for dribbling that I've seen. God bless you brother!
Can’t wait to work on this
Cool! More of this please 🔥
I appreciate you man - god bless and peace

Correct!

footwork is the toughest part
That mat needs to be fixed that’s sticking out before someone trips again😂😂
Looks like the move Durant tore up his achilles on
That was inevitable
He called it deadly for a reason
@@Saintzel LMFAO 💀
Durant tore his Achilles after a jumper.
The move isnt what made him tear his achilles.
This move is MONEY
Damn this look like a whole hesitation

Isn’t it a travel? You can’t land with the same foot right?
Directions not clear,i ended up in prison
I somewhat agree. Try playing the video in super slowmo. (That helped for me)

What's the point of the mat? It's too narrow.
now do this as a setup move then allen iverson crossover
U wont only break your defenders ankles. Youll break your own ankles
Walk, walk, walk. That’s a walk
Gotta speed that thing up but I call carry before the walk.

Isn't this the same move Allen Iverson is famously known for? Was this inspired by his move?
Similar
@@TylerRelphBasketball thanks. Always tried to mimick his cross but this makes it very easy to understand.
Exactly
Yes but while the skip step is 112, Iverson's crossover is 121.
Tyler is this footwork more effective than drop footwork, both are similar....thanks in advance...

Crossovers and hesitations are pretty basic
Only real hoopers kno bout the field house mayne
Did you really call a Eurostep a swing step?

You can shoot off the skip too
Is that an outdoor ball?? Why does it sound like a dodge ball? But yes Ja Morant is really good at this move. If you can do it right itll be nice!
