@@TylerRelphBasketball Yeah it's impressive how effectively (and fast) she communicates, and also how focused the player is to be able to put it all into action. I liked seeing him improve in just a few reps.
Players get called travel alot cos they pick the ball too early. Those funny compilations of NBA players 'travelling' are mostly just gather steps until they put the other hand on the ball. Before that they can take as many steps as they want with the ball just hanging(hand not under the ball)
When doing the last dribbling crossing, the player need to pounding the ball harder, so that the ball would have more speed floating. Then the side step would be longer to stretch the defender before holding the ball. I guess.
its a teaching technique, also youre not always going to get things right right away, but you can usually tell when someone understands the idea, they just dont execute properly, which is what theyre saying "yes" to. usually. then theyll explain what the player can do better afterwards
Hey Tyler, I watch all your videos! You have lots of content and different drills for footwork and I was just wondering what you think would be some of the best footwork drills to focus on as I don’t know that much! Thank you!

the way these "0 steps" and "no steps" are moving these days it's getting harder and harder for defenders. Man i used to be able to shut cats down back in the day but now shit is soooo fuckin' shifty, almost feel like learning D is useless, bettter to expend the energy on offense and make the defense work. great vid coach
So if the hang/ hesi doesn’t result in you putting the ball back down how does it not count as the pickup? What prevents you from taking 6 steps to the basket if you don’t put your hand underneath the ball and keep it behind it?
If you keep your dribble live (not palming, not carrying, not picking the ball up) you can actually take as many steps as you want. That’s how people do that stutter step head where they take like 6 quick steps. As long as your dribble is continuous
If you wait long enough to pick up the ball could you still take 2 steps? (You still had the ability to dribble the ball before veering into the defender)
Imagine pro basketball athletes doing these training for 8 hours a day. They look amazing in highlights and real games but behind every great athlete work hard in the gym.
Nymeria Eyiel literally nothing else to do but practice and maybe go to the weight room. As a lefty I had the same problem going right but I beat everybody going left. Started going right more often in training and boom 💥 I have a very hard to guard drive with both sides and can finish on contact with both hands really well. And you need to be explosive and able to change your speed really fast. If you can do that the defender always has to leave room between you and him and if you can shoot well unlike me that’s horrible to defend against
@@MonkeyD.Moritz ty but i can drive with my left now i do stuff in pickups that only consist of step back and left lay ups and floater my problem now is my consistency in my shooting and sometimes lay up i have days where i feel like i am curry and days where i just do pure airballs on 3 my lay up sometimes is too strong if i am on full speed but i realized that i am not grinding enough nowdays bcoz of school works hard to balance the two
Nymeria Eyiel yeah finished school 2 years ago but before I had to really manage my time well😅 I had the same problem too that sometimes I was too fast and the ball would bounce too hard off the backboard but that was usually only on open layups. When I had defense against me that never happened😅idk how old you are but it will take some time to get a good feel of how fast you are and how much force you need to make the ball go in. Especially if you are still growing💪🏽 Take your time👌🏽
Tyler Relph's Hoop Dynamic the push cross over is more effective because you can create more of an Angle on that move same as tony Parker’s cross over trust me if you use Iverson cross over a good Defender can read it Easily I’m talking about the Asian baller not the coach

Wow, never heard of the veer step for all these years until now. Def going to try adding it to my game.
it is more easy to do beer step.. cheers 🍻
this is also true

I like when you show 2 option for one move. Realy cool ;)
Sometimes an option is more natural to the player!
Good stuff... going to implement this with my daughter tomorrow
The Euro looks cleaner but the veer gets you and1 bucket's !!
Can we get the translator her own channel. She hit the euro with the tennis ball like nothin 😂😂😂
This is really good stuff, thanks for sharing!
I like how coaches say "yes" even when you're not doing it right.

Great video coach!
Very important for alot of moves for you to let the ball float ot gives you a extra stepand tine to decide move
If you wait long enough to pick up the ball could you still take 2 steps? (You still had the ability to dribble the ball before veering into the defender)
That's what the player didn't overstand during the routine. I get a park type feeling from this move, less then college ball tight handles.
thanks for the free information
Just to make sure I understand the nuance.. a veer is just a euro step into the defender to create contact ?
這位兄弟一直沒聽懂TYLER強調的「保持球的懸浮」,「先閱讀防守後再收球」

The coach’s moves are way smoother
One thing really hard to follow Tyler's move, he's got explosive movements. Plyometric is a must, an undeniable requirement to learn his moves.
Really want you to focus on the details at your pace. Nail the footwork and then increase the speed and explosiveness.
