You are going to need to thin your morning glorys. Keep them in a pot or they will take over. Very invasive. Also my favorite. Prettiest blue ever.

Beautiful! Your talent knows no bounds!
I’m lying in a hospital bed with a broken femur so tending to my flower and vegetable beds will become my husband’s job now. Makes me sad. He enjoys it as well though. My leg broke completely in two before my husband caught me mid-fall. Osteoporosis and osteoarthritis. After surgery Saturday afternoon I’ll be here two to three more weeks for physical therapy. I still can’t believe this happened. How quickly things can change.
Anyway this video was such a joy to watch. You are an amazing woman!

We love the same things my friend...I call my gardening style rusty, crusty junk gardening. We love old small equipment pieces, old wheelbarrows, chicken feeders, buckets, birdhouses, milk cans, fence pieces, etc. Your new spot is just beautiful. Love the solar lights too!! ❤

These are my favorite videos of yours! I love the flips, but!! The organic, eclectic way you put things together outside is even more beautiful to me than what you do inside❤️❤️…well, except maybe at Christmas.lol. This is exactly what I would do if I had space like this. But my hubby prefers “well manicured” look of the tried and true shrubs and such. And, he’s the one that has to keep stuff alive.🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Good morning from Ireland 🇮🇪,wow love the transformation in your garden 💕what a beautiful space to have to look at when you’re on your way to work in your studio . Myself and my husband love our garden it makes us feel well and while it’s been hard work for the past 38 years or so we have tried to make it easier to maintain over the past few years- as we’re in our sixties now and don’t have the same energy . It has been my place of healing for many years now . Happy gardening 👩‍🌾.💚☘️

I am living this! After they closed our jail and after 20 years I was unemployed I finally had time to plant roses and some other low maintenance flowers, 8 years after moving in! A LONG time ago, much younger, I cared for 250 roses and my lily lane, butterfly bushes, lilacs etc…. I love my simple look now, I’m 55 😂 we added salt and pepper rock to our beds, used a truck and wheelbarrow….. 😮‍💨 it’s absolute perfection Chris & Yvonne! The nod to GCR ❤

Every thing looks so good!! I’m not much of a gardener it is too hot here and you need to water twice a day and so every thing dies by mid-July because I don’t stick to my watering schedule!! I love to look at them in full bloom but now we have a dog that digs every single thing up that I plant so I’ll keep my 3 hydrangeas and 2 azaleas and 1 knock out rose bush they make me the happiest at 71 it’s hard to get on my hands and knees weeding! Yours looks absolutely beautiful!!

I had to watch the opening 3 times Yvonne…how real does it get my Hunny says!!! You are gonna be morning gloried for sure if you don’t do a bit of thinning. As you were seeding them all I could think was rats nest and tangled if they all germinate and germinate they did. All your yard treasures are gonna make you want more gardens as time goes on. We just have a need for beauty in our lives and gardening certainly does that for us, Fillers, thrillers and spillers is my mantra for container gardens and those heliotrope are not going to disappoint as a thriller. I try to grow some every year and I try to put them with sweet Williams for a real color blast until the sweet William are done for the season. Thanks for sharing this and for a glimpse of Tater and Peach. What a nice visit!!!:):):)

Amazing!!!❤❤❤ For your tomatoe plants, plant Marigolds!! Called Companion Planting!! Keeps pests away!! I would not do cucumbers with them!! Very viney like a watermelon or pumpkin!! Need a lot of space!! Cypress vine grows great with morning glories as well as moon flower. Creeping Jenny is a spreading green plant for base of other plants-gives protection like mulch does!! So Happy to see your Butterflies & outhouse especially!!❤❤❤

My kind of garden! Love it! I agree you use what you have. My husband and his friend put in 8 flower gardens when we had NONE! I was excited! We also did river rocks, but, we got a huge truck load delivered. Anyway what to use for edging? We added a new addition to our house and had to dig a new well. So the old well had to be filled in, so out came all of the curved bricks! It was me who thought to use it for the garden edges ,NOT the 2 guys. I was proud of myself! They both claimed they would've thought of it eventually. Yeah, right! I saved the day. LOL!

Suggestions for easier maintenance and toxin-free, unwanted plant ("weeds" or grass) removal and prevention: lay a base of staple- and tape-free cardboard ($free!), top with 4" of mulch or a little less rocks. Cardboard will smother the unwanted plants while gradually decomposing, actually improving the soil vs. adding poison or plastic weed block sheets (that break down into microplastics and do not improve the soil). After a couple years, rake back the mulch/rocks, replace the cardboard, recover with mulch/rocks. To kill plants before cardboard or over time, as seeds pop up, around edges, etc., use a propane powered flame weeder, like a Red Dragon (brand). Super easy, effective, safe and inexpensive. (If nervous about embers, carry a watering can while flame weeding.) Also, horticultural strength vinegar is great for unwanted plants, too.
As always, love your creativity and content! Thank you!

Love your new eye candy ideas! I thought I’d share a drainage tip someone passed to me for my barrels. If you are out of peanuts (styrofoam), you can save plastic soda caps. I don’t drink sodas but my son saves his for me. Layer them in the bottom. You’re recycling plastic and they don’t add weight for moving your planters around. 🙂

I would make or buy wood flower boxes to hang on the outhouse.

Sooooo adorable !! We did the exact same thing with crushed river rock ! Had it delivered and started shoveling then had neighbor with a skid steer finish it. Wish I could attach a photo

Usually you plant a seed to the depth of its length. So not very deep for most seeds.
