I remember when they had their Audiotree set, and it was eventually taken down at the band's request. But their show in Chicago around the same time wasn't much better... the bassist was pretty much heckling everyone that the jokes kinda got old and tired. Sort of those jokes you try to tell but it never lands, then they'd go into shred mode. But since changing drummers, they've been laser tight. It's incredible the amount of change + how great their shows are now. It's like a can't miss experience at this point.
You know a track is dope when you can sing along to the melody, no vocalist needed. This is the future, these guys are one of the most innovative bands in existence at the moment!
@@SubUwULife Honestly I get where you're coming from but I think that they were the first (and only) band to have kinda fused electronic elements with shreddy yet melodic playing in TMH and NLND
I dunno i always found it kind of cringey when ppl sang the guitar parts. People always did it at CHON shows and it was always just lame. Just my opinion tho.
I was there in Des Moines as well! What an amazing show. Can’t wait for Album 4! With the 4 singles out now, Playing God, Neurotica, ABC, Ego Death, and we’ve heard Genesis live, this new album is gonna be a god damn masterpiece
I saw Tommy Emmanuel play in Des Moines back in like 2012 and it was the best show I’ve ever seen, by anybody. I’ve seen Tommy in other places like Nashville but overall, the Des Moines crowd seemed the most reverent and appreciative. All around warm vibes for instrumental guitar music in that place!
wow beautiful to hear it played live, those intricate harmonics and classical sounds overlaying a metal base, fk rocks - these sounds are resonating deep inside me, fascinating! big love All 💚🤘
It would've been great if the audience would've just shut the fuck up. Polyphia is the only band I would bother to see live. I even had a dream the other night about going to a Polyphia concert.
Dude they're so tight live. The Scott riff in the beginning when they are both playing it is so tight note for note it just sounds like a guitar track double layered over itself.
Really a puzzle why they're both playing the verse latin shred now (in the music video, it's only Scott doing the lead). Gives an ounce of sense when you find out that neither of them composed that part; makes you wonder if they'd ever have him featured in a live performance.
@@zeffffffff I don't want to dig. If you want to know, they have their own video (or Tim's?) talking about it. Maybe his home studio tour or something.
I love seeing how much better they’ve gotten at playing their live songs now. It’s nice to see them not be piss drunk during a show lol.

I love how they look so calm playing something so hard
that's something I've been amazed by with especially Tim, it's rare for him to actually show that what he is playing is really hard
@@draugr905 I thought Scotty more shows that
tim doesn't even look at his fretboard lol
it's kind of the way they have to play if they start tensing up more mistakes are usually bound to happen.
That's exactly how you play hard songs lol, don't move a single muscle other than your forearms
The crowd singing along to the guitar puts a smile on my face
What the hell they've improved massively live. I saw them like 4 times, never this tight.
Seasoning. Rehearsing and playing out will do that. Theyre only going to get better
This show was straight fire. One of the best live performances I've seen of any band ever.

Wow, playing this produced is one thing but being this spot on live is insane
It's so good live, this was my first concert. Absolutely amazing
glad you got to see them now. they used to be fuckin awful live. they've gotten much better.
lucky bastard😪
YO I WAS HERE FOR THIS I SAW THIS ACTUALLY BEST CONCERT IVE BEEN TO
When melody so good people sing to it even without lyrics. Looking forward to more songs from you guys! You are the new era of instrumental rock.
I loved this show. Polyphia is so tight. And it was a great venue
They're just standing there. Menacingly
2:41 the crowd singing the melody. so cute.
How wild is it to see two shredders playing nylon guitars with some super modern drumming... amazing.

Im very glad the modern guitar music is making its way in the scene, especially in Iowa lol. It was a sold out show and it was full of energy.
Saw them in Philly last August and its life changing seeing them do this all live.
The one microphone is all they need to hype us up and it works so well!
Nice footage man. Those guys can play stuff I never will be able to. Had to be a great experience. 🤘🎸✌️

The drums though. So tight and tricky.

that one dude saying "heay heay" before the beginning beat drop got me lol
Really impressive that they can actually pull off these ridiculous songs live!
Thank ypu for sharing this moment with us!!
Their song intro music is so sick
I live in Des Moines how did I miss this😕
"Can you guys guess what it is?" 😮
So wholesome

I'm impressed out how much better they've gotten at live performances.
That bass line.
Have to bring attention to the drums at the beginning. God tier.
They are so tight. It's unreal.
sucks that their show got cancelled in Austin, TX.
imagine being a sign language translator at a polyphia concert
could there be such a thing 😮
BEST CROWD!
The buildup is so cool. I think it's the guitar riff but every other beat is gone and it's slowed.
Wow that was tight af
very skilled musicians/ artists !
They need more tattoos
I was at the phx concert they are fkin insane live
me too! Tim's guitar cut off at the start of the song but he recovered like it was nothing and played through the song perfectly
A crowd of metalheads reacting to flamenco jazz bossa nova.
That drumming is hot
I can’t imagine wanting to go watch these guys play live lol. The studio stuff just sounds so much better.
Who cares if the studio stuff "Sounds" better. It's the experience that people go to live shows for.
