Loving this channel and this candid discussion format of video! Too many scripted talk shows out there these days with ultra experienced journalists :/ this channel gives a fresh, honest perspective! Request, could you do a video chatting with another such passionate rider, discussing how to choose/ plan for/ get ready for your first big bike?! I’m an enthusiast rider, and would love to understand what should be the mindset to approach big bikes, but so far the only videos I’m seeing are by journalists who have way too much experience with big machines making their suggestions feel a little daunting. Do help out! Cheers, kudos and keep posting such awesome content 💪
Appreciate the insightful conversation here. Tiger sport 660, is 1. Far Sportier, 81 horsepower 2. 180 section tyre, genuinely sport tourer 3. 160 mm ground clearance made Spiti circuit ‘comfortable’ 4. The sound is amazing 5. The triple cylinder has a super comfortable flat torque curve 6. Looks, although subjective is far newer, leaner and appealing to a lot of people Sales number comparison of the two can say the rest. Based on riding 15k kms with one.
Excellent one.. After listening to this conversation, I'm rethinking on my purchase decision towards Versys from Nx500. My only question is, can versys be my single bike garage and daily commute to office in Bangalore traffic ??
Add questions on the accessories in detail Mostly who will watch entire video will be potential buyers or already owners I’ve my versys 650 Would love to know about the accessories You can also provide your affiliated links to buy stuff from amazon & earn something from your hardwork.
Have upgraded to a Domi400 from a bullet 350. Cruise at about 95. Will upgrade to Versys 650. But need to stop every hour on a D400 to take a mond fatigue break. But you doing 350 kms wothout breaks. Hiw do you manage mental fatigue. Or is the fatigue less on a versys? Am from Pune. Plan to do a pan Bhaeat touring
Yes the fatigue is less on the Versys. It's one of the most comfortable road touring bikes in India at the moment and punches way above its class as far as comfort goes. However, another way to reduce fatigue over time is to ride a LOT more so your body gets used to it. Abishek frequently rides tot he mountains at least 3 times a year, all the way from Bangalore.
My height is 5.7.... I love versys but weight is an issue for me for daily commute in bangalore traffic. Still heart sometimes override brain. I am thinking of an upgrade from NX500 but confused between versys, transalp and africa twin. i love versys, but its very heavy, service cost is high and spares are difficult to get. Transalp i dont like its looks, but i love the engine power. i hate it doesnt come with tubeless tires. initial cost is high with accessories and all but very easy to maintain in long run + i have started to like honda service treatment. Also inclined towards Africa twin as brain and heart is saying -buy once buy best. Your views please.
If you have the money for it, we would suggest you go big! Get the Africa Twin/BMW1300 GS. Get the big bike out of your system sooner rather than later. Then you can focus on what really matters for the rest of your riding career-the trip and riding on whichever bike you have. But you have to go through this journey on your own and experience it for yourself. It won't matter what anyone else says.
Hi Sir.. planning to buy Vstrom 800DE.. from Hyderabad. please let me know if you have any feedback on Suzuki services outside bangalore.. better if its from Hyderabad..
Slightly concerned about his 'average' touring speed of 140-160 kmph... especially when motorcycles aren't allowed on expressways hence these speeds are done majorly on National Highways which are not guarded by railings on either side and any Man/Animal/Thing can suddenly jump out of nowhere. Wishing safe rides for you always.
I have had a test ride on this bike , feels nice , i managed the weight fairly well but it was a short ride , i am around 190 cms with 87 kgs of weight , any tall riders here who can give me a review on it . I am from blr as well .
I'm 6.0 and own a v650, and you might want to add handlebar raisers or ROX pivots. The bike is comfortable, and you don't feel exhausted even after a 600kms ride. Your Butt will thank you for the purchase.😅
@@sriram0 thanks a lot for the reply , i was looking at himlayan 450 then the new ktm 390 adv s , then the honda nx 500 and finally now on the v650 ....

Thank you mate...Bikes are ment to be ridden and glad we are doing justice to our bikes
My 2023 Kawasaki Versys 650 LT reminds me of my Honda Goldwing 1200 Aspencade. It has a comfortable ride and is nimble like a sport bike.
Keep coming such talks... enjoying your talks...
Thanks and cheers
Sir what about who ride 1.20 lakh on platina , more then 1 lakh on activa and more then 1.40 lakh on honda hornet , and no touring only on work😂
maybe with all that work you can upgrade from platina lmao

Complete guide for K - V -650 superb
Glad you liked it
Love your indepth discussion. Great insights. Would it be possible to know the difference in cost in kawasaki and local service
Thanks for the appreciation. Please DM Abishek on his insta handle in the description
Costing may or may not be huge but rest assured your bike is taken care of better by your private mechanic..which is worth in gold in the longrun
Great insights on the Versys!
For a min I thought, why is triumph written on the Versys 😅
It was Thuppil’s
Nice catch!!! 💪

Yes it can. It might take you sometime to get used to, but you will get used to it.
@ thanks a lot !
Very very friendly bike in the traffic.Best part is the heat management on this bike is excellent
Never considered Versys before, good insights on it, sports tourer to look for. 👏

The only problem either versys 650 is the exhaust note, due to the 180 crank
Why is it a problem?
😂😂😂 seriously, exhaust sound is a deal breaker?
Pleaae can you elaborate on managing dog hits??? Dog hits is myy bigest fear.
Sorry. Not our area of expertise.

Thank you for the incredibly insightful comment. We can do a whole podcast on "What's the right speed to ride in India" alone!
Cannot agree more on this....Like I always say "never ride faster than your angels can fly"
