for me, dynamite was their "hi we are bts and we are slightly entering to western music market not to make you bother too much :)" type of a comeback, easy and cute but the taste, the charisma of butter IS something else, it sounds really mature

Butter is their single and their july comeback is just a release of their single physical album with another additional single called Permission to Dance. PTD is more of a gift song on the anniversary for ARMY more than anything. It's not getting the same push as Butter. Of all their 3 english songs, I like Butter the most. It's so groovy and the bridge is just 10/10 of all bridges.
I guess the big question next is are we getting another album this year? Whether a mini album like BE or a full album like Map of the Soul 7. I hope so.

BTS has always experimented with different styles! Loving BTS is more than loving what they do for YOU or the messages they have that YOU connect with. They have so much control over their creativity and music at this point, we know this is genuine for them regardless of the language! I'm so proud of them!
Their personalities and relationship is what I love the most about BTS. They are sooo funny and competitive and weird in the best way haha. Run BTS is also a great variety show with lots of their funny weirdness haha

I just rewatched In The Soop recently for fun and because I missed my guys, lol I love it. I’m actually surprised you haven’t seen their variety content before. I recommend their Bon Voyage series. Season 1 (2016) was in Skandinavia/Northern Europe, Season 2 (2017) was Hawaii, Season 3 (2018) is in Malta, and Season 4 (2019) was in New Zealand.
It always amazes me how these 7 boys transform when they perform! They bring out such a powerful and confident vibe when in reality they are just 7 playful dorks! Maybe that's the reason why I love them sooo much! 😂😊💕

It's not a b-side, it's a single! Albums can have multiple singles, BTS mentioned it as a single in an interview. Just like MOTS7 had Black Swan and On, both were promoted and performed on music shows, tv shows and etc

You'll never convince me that "Butter" isn't a soft diss track, a kickback towards those who are accusing BTS of being "too westernized". There is no way that they are unaware of the slang definition of the word butter. That only makes me love this song even more because it's BTS at their cheeky flex best. Nothing drives a hater closer to the edge than a confident, laughing response. And nobody does that better than BTS. "Butter" is nothing less than a smoother, sweeter , cooler , "Mic Drop".
I think the way they layered the song and the little tidbits and adlibs they used in butter was way more in depth than what they did in dynamite (?) it makes every part of the song seems fresh and the track timeless and amazing for repeated listens. I absolutely love the use of voice box vocals in pied piper and the way the used it again in this song is just out o this world they really nailed it.
It was a blast to see you fanboying over Butter. Butter is by far my favorite of their English trilogy. Butter, then Dynamite, and though it is growing on me, PtD (preferably without Autotune effect) is a solid last.

Typically I sit in silence watching your videos and talk to myself, but I had to get up and start dancing and singing when the chorus hit. Butter definitely hits different and I still get chills every time I listen it or watch the MV and there’s not a lot of songs no matter how much I enjoy them that give me that reaction regardless how many times I’ve heard it. The serotonin is off the charts with this song. Butter enthusiast rise up 😂

Butter for me is definitely the better song, from the MV, Music, and the lyrics. Dynamite to me felt like BTS dipping their toes into something new, had that nervousness and excitement of doing something really different for the first time. Butter feels more personal and self-assured, more confident and comfortable. They ooze confidence in this. Just out of curiousity have you checked out the BE album and do you have a favorite track from it? Suga’s verse in Dis-ease has to be one of my favorite Suga verses in a long while.
I like Butter more stylistically knowing that BTS were much more involved with the writing and production. It wasn't designed to be a hit like Dynamite was. It just turned out that way.
Also one of my favorite parts has to be the “get it let it roll” part especially the way JK does it because his voice has almost a slight growl at the end and it’s so satisfying to me and has this release of energy that just makes me hype haha

Actually quite a lot of people prefer Butter! We definitely all love it. I can't really decide though. I feel like Butter is easier to listen to but as soon as I get to the chorus of Dynamite I'm hooked just as much (by now since I listen to it a lot).
Your reaction was so worth waiting for hahaha! Butter was really well-liked from the get go, way less of that tiresome, patronising, gate-keeping discourse surrounding it, as though a few English songs overshadows their HUGE Korean discography. Namjoon had writing credits on 'Butter' too, he wrote the raps (you can tell specifically with 'no ice/n-ice guy', it's very him) and he specifically wrote each part per rap member to best suit them. I LOVED Butter, it has that BTS vibe, so much style. Yoongi is my bias so his rap part made me feel like I could punch the sun tbh, it was so iconic. And yes, they made poor Hobi eat real butter...he said it was very greasy haha. To clarify (butter pun, sorry), PTD is their secondary comeback which is meant as a gift to ARMY for ARMY's birthday, which is why it came out in July. It's a birthday present! I don't think we've seen the last of Butter...it's my favourite of their English songs, so I'm hoping so anyway. Also 'In the Soop' is GLORIOUS, isn't it? So happy you have more of an insight into their personalities! Bon Voyage (especially Bon Voyage 4) is really lovely to watch as well, PD! Very soothing to watch.

BTS has always experimented with different styles! Loving BTS is more than loving what they do for YOU or the messages they have that YOU connect with. They have so much control over their creativity and music at this point, we know this is genuine for them regardless of the language! I'm so proud of them!
Their personalities and relationship is what I love the most about BTS. They are sooo funny and competitive and weird in the best way haha. Run BTS is also a great variety show with lots of their funny weirdness haha

when they released dynamite i was obsessed for months and always thought “how can they top this?” BUT THEN butter came out. my absolute favorite, i like butter so much better. + they just released permission to dance, but honestly it’s not my type of song. in conclusion BUTTER QUEEN!
butter is their official comeback song but they just released “permission to dance” which is the b-side to butter. it is also a gift for army (released on army day).

I just rewatched In The Soop recently for fun and because I missed my guys, lol I love it. I’m actually surprised you haven’t seen their variety content before. I recommend their Bon Voyage series. Season 1 (2016) was in Skandinavia/Northern Europe, Season 2 (2017) was Hawaii, Season 3 (2018) is in Malta, and Season 4 (2019) was in New Zealand.
It always amazes me how these 7 boys transform when they perform! They bring out such a powerful and confident vibe when in reality they are just 7 playful dorks! Maybe that's the reason why I love them sooo much! 😂😊💕

It's not a b-side, it's a single! Albums can have multiple singles, BTS mentioned it as a single in an interview. Just like MOTS7 had Black Swan and On, both were promoted and performed on music shows, tv shows and etc

- the song is crazy good cheerful
- the song has a deeper meaning than Butter (with COVID-19 end hope)
- it's written be Ed Sheeran

You'll never convince me that "Butter" isn't a soft diss track, a kickback towards those who are accusing BTS of being "too westernized". There is no way that they are unaware of the slang definition of the word butter. That only makes me love this song even more because it's BTS at their cheeky flex best. Nothing drives a hater closer to the edge than a confident, laughing response. And nobody does that better than BTS. "Butter" is nothing less than a smoother, sweeter , cooler , "Mic Drop".

I think the way they layered the song and the little tidbits and adlibs they used in butter was way more in depth than what they did in dynamite (?) it makes every part of the song seems fresh and the track timeless and amazing for repeated listens. I absolutely love the use of voice box vocals in pied piper and the way the used it again in this song is just out o this world they really nailed it.

It was a blast to see you fanboying over Butter. Butter is by far my favorite of their English trilogy. Butter, then Dynamite, and though it is growing on me, PtD (preferably without Autotune effect) is a solid last.

I LOVE THAT YOURE OBSESSED W BTS NOW... the music and the lyricism hook you to bts at first. but i think their personalities is what really make armys stay. of course once you get into their personalities you then have more profound knowledge of how impactful their music really is. For me i knew of bts and i thought their music and performance was really great. but it was me watching run bts and then binging the entire series until i caught up was what really cemented me as an army. theyre just so funny and down to earth and you see that in their variety shows, bangtan bombs, bon voyage, and especially in the soop. i hope you know in the soop 2 is going to come out soon!! id really love to hear your thoughts abt it in the future.
Typically I sit in silence watching your videos and talk to myself, but I had to get up and start dancing and singing when the chorus hit. Butter definitely hits different and I still get chills every time I listen it or watch the MV and there’s not a lot of songs no matter how much I enjoy them that give me that reaction regardless how many times I’ve heard it. The serotonin is off the charts with this song. Butter enthusiast rise up 😂

Butter for me is definitely the better song, from the MV, Music, and the lyrics. Dynamite to me felt like BTS dipping their toes into something new, had that nervousness and excitement of doing something really different for the first time. Butter feels more personal and self-assured, more confident and comfortable. They ooze confidence in this. Just out of curiousity have you checked out the BE album and do you have a favorite track from it? Suga’s verse in Dis-ease has to be one of my favorite Suga verses in a long while.

I like Butter more stylistically knowing that BTS were much more involved with the writing and production. It wasn't designed to be a hit like Dynamite was. It just turned out that way.

Your reaction was so worth waiting for hahaha! Butter was really well-liked from the get go, way less of that tiresome, patronising, gate-keeping discourse surrounding it, as though a few English songs overshadows their HUGE Korean discography. Namjoon had writing credits on 'Butter' too, he wrote the raps (you can tell specifically with 'no ice/n-ice guy', it's very him) and he specifically wrote each part per rap member to best suit them. I LOVED Butter, it has that BTS vibe, so much style. Yoongi is my bias so his rap part made me feel like I could punch the sun tbh, it was so iconic. And yes, they made poor Hobi eat real butter...he said it was very greasy haha.
To clarify (butter pun, sorry), PTD is their secondary comeback which is meant as a gift to ARMY for ARMY's birthday, which is why it came out in July. It's a birthday present! I don't think we've seen the last of Butter...it's my favourite of their English songs, so I'm hoping so anyway.
Also 'In the Soop' is GLORIOUS, isn't it? So happy you have more of an insight into their personalities! Bon Voyage (especially Bon Voyage 4) is really lovely to watch as well, PD! Very soothing to watch.

There’s definitely an emotional stake you start building when u get to know them individually. I also agree with your comments about Suga. I have been wanting more Yoongi for a few of the title tracks and I’m happy he got to showcase his unique flow in this song.
