I would like to thank the Aldi staff for boxing up Daddy's shopping. It made it alot easier for Daddy. Love the planters and the plants. Amy please when checking to see if 🥑 are ripe push on the top where the stem would be not squeeze the middle as the farmers would say they feel hard there because you feel the seed . Love that haul ❤

Avocados can be quartered and frozen. Also, there are great recipes out there using avocado in baked goods. Great video!

Wow all those Avocados you know you can make a chocolate mousse out of those avocados And other recipes to make desserts and their vegan too and you can't taste the avocados...looks like a good haul... and you can freeze them too.!

Wow, that's definitely a treasure. Normal grocery shopping has become a luxury, seems to me. ❤ them bananas, I am always hurt when FD leaves some behind, it's as if they're calling me😅
He has to leave some behind or else who do you expect to be on the other end of the banana phone? She is calling SOMEONE....you know...they too need a telephonic device at the ready. Especially if already "filming" with their phone...you know, recording on film...cause when is the last time any of us actually did that. Does VHS count? IF so, then 2001.

plant some of those green onions for later in the fall months....while they are growing cut the some of the green tops off of each one for recipes or dehydrate for later use.....

Way to save that food. You guys are the best dumpster divers saving food. Other channels don’t care about getting healthy fruits and vegetables or quality bread and meats. You guys get pastries and so forth but they just get those and talk about how the kids would love them. You have a real quality channel, help our environment, and feed your family healthy meals. I’m pretty sure those striped plants are hostas, which are edible. I haven’t tried them, but the new shoots in spring are like asparagus

Lavender used to be use in hospitals. Many older people hated the smell from earier memories.

I have found good luck with splitting open the avacado s and scooping out the insides and putting it in the snack size baggies. I then place those in a gallon baggie and freeze for later use, mostly in smoothies.

FM, dud you know you can mash ripe avocados in a food processor, freeze in lumps and then put in a freezer bag and save them in the freezer? When you want to use some, just put the lumps on a plate and let it thaw? It's wonderful!

If you grow in the tall planters, you’ll need to drill some drainage holes in the bottoms. I tried growing in some with tiny holes, and they stink. It’ll rot the roots.
Good for you ! Do they sell frozen avocados in the US? In Israel they make avocado puree to sell during the off-season. They probably mix it with lemon juice. Try it.

I am not a fan of lavender either. I gag when I smell it. My friend in HA plant lavender between their
cash crops to keep the bugs 🐛 away. Apparently, bugs 🐛 are not fond of lavender either.
