I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday to pick up some crafting supplies. The clerk asked me what I was making, and then she asked me, "Do you follow Do it on a Dime on YT?" Why yes, yes I do! 😂😉🤗
My mesh laundry bag hack - i put a fitted sheet, its matching sheet, and a pillow case in the bag (with some careful folding) Then I added a tag label for what bed it fits on for when I have company coming. Two bags are labeled "Roll away" Two are labeled "Guest bed" and two are labeled "Futon" so I can switch bedding and wash bedding between guests. My family visits pretty frequently. 😅 😄
Great hack for the mesh bags: When traveling, pick out outfit and roll it up -pants/shorts -top -socks, etc and put it in the mesh bag. You then have a bag per day with your cloths plus a double as a laundry bag at the end of the day. This perfect for camping trips or RVing!
I've tried to get my sis in law to do that with her kids clothes when traveling. So they could just grab a bag out of their luggage and know what to wear that day.
Aw 🥺 always remember god is with us even in our darkest moments. Also there is someone wishing praying and hoping they have something you already have. And today is a good day because it could always be worse than what it is.. positive thoughts and energy!!
I use the fabric softener scent beads in the organza bags to keep my car smelling fantastic. I put a bag under both front seats and hang one from the mirror.

I've only been watching your videos for a few weeks now, but they have helped me SO MUCH in finding the motivation to organize and declutter-which is especially helpful because I'll be moving soon! Not to share too much, but I have struggled with motivation and energy to keep clean and organized due to my bipolar and pain levels. But your videos honestly have helped so much because they've shown me how _empowering_ it can be to have a clean, organized home that's tailored to ME. And I cannot stress enough how important your "You are enough" reminders are to me. Thank you so much for your strength, kindness, and willingness to share your process with us, Kathryn! You and the Do It On A Dime team are incredible! 💜
I so much look forward to watching these videos, & I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched them over & over, again & again! Not just to remind me of the excellent tips, hacks, & organization products, but also just to suck up all that contagious vibrant energy Kathryn has created doing these videos especially for us!!! Aren’t we blessed?!!! 🥰 🥳 🙏
I've been using clothes clips for chip clips for years. Mesh laundry bags can be hung on your clothes hampers for dirty socks, throw the bag in the wash and dryer, no more lost socks! I saw this on another YT video. Thanks for all the great ideas. You ARE enough. 😊
My super weird use for the mesh laundry bags: I'm a fiber artist and I wash wool and alpaca fleece in them. I then spin them, dye them and knit, crochet, our weave them into finished items.
Oxidol products have been on the market since the 60’s or earlier. My Mom used Oxidol detergent cause they came with a free bath towel in the box! Good way to get new linens for a family of eight😮
I had some serious health issues for two years now, and am finally starting to feel like myself again!! My bedroom was in serious need of a deep clean, so I started with the walls.... using the Zep product and a sponge mop head from DT. My bedroom now looks like we just repainted it!!!!!!!!! I keep saying, "Kathryn said this stuff works, and she was right!!" And it leaves the most wonderful smell. I also love wrinkle release sprays. I always travel with a small bottle and spray my outfit the night before and let it hang to dry! I make my own cleaners, but I always have the "Awesome" cleaner as a stand by for deep cleaning! I have used so many of your suggestions I've lost count!❤❤❤❤

The best thing to use for your deodorant stain is a used fabric sheet. Save them after you use in the dryer and I tell you, you will not only smell amazing but it cleans it instantly. I save them in a fabric bag and use and throw away. Best thing ever.
I love the $1.25 laundry detergent. I use it for all my laundry. I like to pour it into a plastic pitcher from Dallas tree so I can see when I'm running low.
The best quick laundry and rug/apolstory cleaner I learned from you - Folex. If you like thrifting I recommend buying a small spray bottle (purse size) in the craft section of DT. Fill it with the Folex and take it with you to the Thrift store. Find something you love but it has a stain - put it in your cart, spray it with Folex and before you check out - check the item - is the stain gone? Buy it - if not put it back. And for blood I use hydrogen peroxide - the vet taught me that one - clothes, walls, wherever the blood may be.
The Dollar Tree lingerie bags fell apart and I was using them on delicate cycle. I have always used ammonia to take out protein stains like blood, grass, vomit/spit-up. Also the laundry products at Dollar Tree make me itch even when I double rinse through my washer so I stick to my free and clear laundry sheets that I get from Grove.
I bought the mesh laundry bags for my kids to put their dirty socks in. When it time to do laundry, they zip up their bag and throw it in the washer. Then it transfers to the dryer and viola! No more missing socks!
As someone who's norm is to line dry clothes, I can tell you from experience that dollar tree clothes pins are a waste of money. They fall apart every time I use them. The ground under my clothes line looks like it rained broken clothes pins. Fine for decoration, but for every day life use, Amazon's are durable and worth the extra you pay.
I use the plastic cutting mats to line my ikea trolly, the wire pull outs in my kitchen cabinets. I also use them to line the bottom of travel packing cubes so that they are a little more sturdier to put things in.

Hi Kathryn, I use baking soda in my laundry instead of the Oxy clean. It works just as well and cleans and brightens the load so well. If a stain get the distilled vinegar out and poof gone! Not to mention in the kitchen …if I have a pan that has stuck on stuff pour baking soda and distilled vinegar and just let it do what it does . Set it down for 5 min and no matter how stuck it washes right clean when I run my sponge through. That going down the disposal makes the disposal fresh . My shower gets the baking soda Dawn and distilled vinegar trio in a plastic container then the all blue scrub pads and scrub the shower and shower floor . My husbands body wash is well a green color and his shampoo because it’s men’s is blue….so everything comes out of the shower wipe down the bottles so they are clean and not dripping blue or green ….it sounds like a lot but it takes me maybe 5 min to remove clean rinse but back clean bottles. Put the scrubby pad under my foot and get the base of the shower so clean without bending over . Easy quick no bending over . My kitchen has gotten so organized under your supervision and inspiration…ahhhh love you🥰😘❤️❤️
@@jerrilynnwoolston9734 well for a normal load about a cup of it , it cleans and brightens and freshens . I still use the same amount of detergent usually but that is so easy to adjust. Hi Kathryn ❤Until just last year I had a shed outside with my washing machine and hung all my clothes on the line. I like to put my delicates or hats in the mesh laundry bags. Not a fan of ironing either. Yep the washing machine cleaner seems to work well. 😂 Thanks for the tips. Happy Tuesday everyone.
Hi! I found that I was spending way too much time watching UA-cam videos that I cut back to just three content creators and you are definitely at the top of my three I learned so much from you and you are so pleasant and sweet. I love your family and I love your dog too thank you for the hard work you put into these videos 👍🤎🧡💛🍂🍁☺️
Can of cola in the washing machine, 1 per load, works amazing on greasy stained smelly laundry. My husband learned that when he was a mechanic in the army.
I use clothespins outside to hold my sheet music on my stand and the little ones in the craft section are good when using multiple songs in a book. You can use a micron pen or add tabs with number orders on them. Good tip about the wrinkle release. I use unscented everything. I've used men's unscented antiperspirant sticks for about 30 years and it leaves no residue. I use a mesh bag to wash lace and ribbon for sewing projects. Some great ideas. Thanks!
😁 I use clothespins to hang up my laundry. I do not own a dryer and have for the last “forever” years hung them up on several clothes lines in my backyard. I live in Florida and they are dry in two and half hours.
Clothes pins? Chip clip, herb hanging, Plant training, quilt square holding instead of a pin, quilt squares grouping for quick assembly, holding a nail as I hammer it in so I don't smack my fingers, hangin dainty items and even holding something while the glue dries. I love them! Oh and I hold my ground beef bags in a plastic box, keeping the ends from falling into the water I am thawing them in. I snap the ends on the the edge of the box.
I love your laundry room makeover. It really inspired me. I thought mine was tiny & narrow. But you got me beat! 😩❤️❤️I say that with love & not being mean. I have wanted to get rid of my top cabinets that are small & not good for the space & put up floating shelves. We would get so much more storage space. I don’t have a way to put the deep shelves like you have because of the design. We have a closet behind that space. But a freezer is directly behind the wall & I don’t think it could be moved. Plus the hubby isn’t usually wild about construction unless it’s absolutely necessary. Lol. Thank you for sharing your love! ❤
I actually used the LA Awesome detergent for the first time the other day. I was folding the clothes and realized they were brighter and just looked cleaner. It even took a grease stain out of a shirt that I hadn't been able to get out before. I will continue to use it going forward. I also use white vinegar as my fabric softener works great along with my dryer balls.😊
I put the mop attachment of my O-Cedar spin mop in a mesh bag and then toss it in the washer with my laundry. I think it makes the mop last longer, and I don't have to worry about anything from my mop getting stuck to anything else in the load.
I use clothes pins for chip clips, keeping clothes on hangers, clip papers together (use washi tape to decorate them). Very useful! And I buy them from Dollar Tree!
The Laundry Awesome laundry detergent is FANTASTIC!! I use it a) because it’s way easier to carry to the laundromat, b) honestly works just as well as the other name brands, and c) smells like the other brands!! Recommend 10/10!
I use spin and span as a stain remover and heavy duty order remover in the laundry. I also use the chopping mats as support in the bottom of my reusable grocery bags.
Clothespins: Chip clips - hanging delicates on hangers - I am a quilter and have used them to number my rows and to hold blocks together while I sew. Use what you have before you buy. I really love the wicker baskets.
Love the white plastic over the door hangers at Dollar Tree. They blend in with white doors and most importantly...don't stratch the door like the metal over the door hangers.
I love clothes pins too! When I was little and my mother went out, she'd sometimes bring me back a little special something. I'll never forget the colored clothes pins she brought me. I thought I had won the lottery! Today I use clothes pins for bag closings, and for fastening the night time blanket on my pet birds, also for grouping paperwork together, etc.. I love laundry so I thoroughly enjoyed your video!
I'm an occupational therapist and use clothes pins to work on pinching for hand function 😊. They are so inexpensive I can even send them home with clients
I put 2 Irish Spring soap bars (original scent)in my mesh bags then zip tie them to the porch light nearest to our front & Patio doors to help keep flies away 😊.
I want to thank you sweet lady for all your wonderful and knowledgeable and helpful videos to us out there who don't really know how to organize the correct way I do watch your videos all the time I just love you miss Catherine you are just the coolest and sweetest thing and keep pumping out these videos girlfriend❤
What I love about your videos that I dont see in others, is how you break down prices by ounces so its a real comparison. been following you for years and i love the growth
I put washing pods & colour catchers in the mesh bag. I'm in England & have a front loader & those things stay at the front on the rubber seal if I don't do this! ☺️ Spanish cleaning products are becoming very popular here, I love Asevi laundry products, they smell amazing & the scent lasts for ages, even when I use half the amount I'd usually use!
The mesh laundry bags are also great for the dishwasher. Put your small items in the bag and put it on the top rack of your dishwasher and they get washed and sterilized all in one. If you are a Mom with a little one this is great for bottle nipples, covers & any small item. 😊
I'm going to be absolutely binging all of your organization videos over the next month because I'll be moving into a new house, and I want it clean and neat and organized. Thank you for all you do.
I have been doing the wrinkle release for years. It works as well as the $7.00 Downy Wrinkle release. I use Pinesol in my Bissell Carpet cleaner same mix as the regular carpet cleaner. In between, I use the auto carpet spray cleaner. I spray it at night before going to bed at night and vacuumed with my hepa vacuum cleaner the next morning. It smells wonderful.
I use mesh bags for my kiddos mainly. I took a pants hanger and hung a mesh bag over my kids laundry basket ever since they were newborns. That way you can toss socks or even underwear or headbands in them. Never lose any of those small silly pieces again
Another great job Katherine! I enjoy your videos so much! You are so creative - I wish I was more so - but, you definitely inspire me to save money and still be able to make my house look great - Thank you!
8 years ago I purchased a new clothes washer and dryer. My first use of the dryer with dryer balls caused hundreds of little dents throughout the dryer! I pivoted to using wool balls with a few drops of essential oil, such as lavender.

I use clothes pins for a car diffuser (add essential oils, then clip to my vents). I also make them per season and give out to family and friends.
I love all of your ideas! I have been watching your videos for years !
Laundry room looks really cute.
*Kathryn, i remember your 1st refresh of this laundry room & with THIS you've outdone yourself. 10 out of 10!!!* 🧺
Use clothes pins to close chip bags, bags of salad, cereal bags. Really helps good stay fresh.
😊
Love this laundry makeover!
Clothes pins!!! I use them in my Special Education classroom, for many different things!!
I use clothespins and a command hook adhesive strip, to create holders inside cabinet doors for lightweight items that can be clipped.
I'm an occupational therapist and use clothes pins to work on pinching for hand function 😊. They are so inexpensive I can even send them home with clients
I used those laundry bags to wash my beanie hats after receiving chemotherapy. They are also great for winter gloves and beanies.
Best thing I ve found in dollar tree is the lime- away does the job
Great video with some wonderful ideas 💡 Thanks for all you do and for sharing your suggestions 🧡🍁🍂🌻😎🌞
Happy Thanksgiving. God Bless You and your family ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much for always sharing these amazing videos.❤❤❤😊
Your laundry room is beautiful.
Thank you 😊
Yes i do use everything awesome, love it, the spray help ge/ out paint too.
Good luck with the move!
Wow wish the Dollar Trees in Florida In the Broward n Miami area would look like this and we’ll stock like yours.
I know right. The ones in Coral Springs are awful. Orlando has a couple of good ones, but that’s a long trip for cheap stuff😂
Ft Lauderdale and Pompano Beach stores are the pits! Except the one that is in a former 'gentleman's club'! 😂
I agree
Christmas is never to early for us crafters!!
I just love your enthusiasm. :)
Totally Awesome detergent was really good…especially in a pinch
My mother inlaw love the dollar tree laundry detergent. Love your channel you are amazing. You gave me the confident to start my own channel v cosina.
