    For years I would get disappointed when we would draft a lot of linemen early in the draft over other positions, but boy oh boy was it genius. I credit Howie and the front office as well as the Goat Jeff Stoutland for making up front a priority. Both sides of the ball have been DOMINANT this year and have played a big part in our success. Offensively It is a great mix of youth and veterans that get the job done every week. They are going to play a HUGE part this weekend against San Francisco AND in the Super Bowl against KC or Cinci.
    Oh and by the way, Kelce and Johnson could very well have 2 years left in the tank....

      A lot of people are attributing the Vikings recent success to Kirk and Jefferson taking steps forward, which, yes, plays a big factor. However I’d say the past 5 years or so our investment into offensive line with 1st, and 2nd round picks is finally paying dividends now that the line is solid.
      Darrisaw is borderline all pro as like a 24 year old left tackle, Cleveland is very solid in pass pro and a great run blocker, Bradbury is an average pass protector but one of the best run blockers, Ingram is really up and down but he’s a 2nd round rookie and O’Neil is also a borderline all pro right tackle

      Honestly you probably want to draft at least 1 online and 1 dline every draft depending on how good your lines are. But when i was younger linemen were never the sexy pick. As i;ve gotten older i'm looking at line play more than anything else initally.

      All this talk of the linemen having to be picked in first or second round isn’t exactly true. Lane Johnson is first round, Landon Dickerson is second - and none of the other Eagles starting O line are: Kelce sixth round, Mailata seventh round, Seumalo third round. Goeddert at tight end is a second round pick.
      Ironically, the Eagles have a first round pick (Andre Dillard) as a backup on the O line.

    Man I love this Eagles team. I honestly believe they're even better than the 2017 Superbowl team. They're actually a lot better and on all sides of the ball. The pass rush is historically great but with the guys they added this off-season, I don't think I've ever seen an Eagles secondary improve as drastically as they have from last year to this year. This may be the best Eagles group of DBs/Safety's I've ever seen in the 30+ years I've been watching this team. Even in down years, our O Line has always been top notch during the Lane/Kelce era. The defense is elite but this offense is no doubt the best Eagles offense of all time. Hopefully they continue playing to the level they're capable of playing, I believe they will because with this Niners team coming here on Sunday they're gonna have to in order to win this game. Should be a phenomenal game I'm excited to watch the two best teams left in the NFL battle it out and when it's over and done with, we'll be the ones playing in Arizona in a couple weeks 🗣️ E-A-G-L-E-S

      Few thoughts. I think the 2017 D-Line was better. Throughout that season, they put pressure on opposing QBs. 2017 was better at TE and RB. Jenkins made a big difference at safety. Though they are very different, I think Foles was a more dangerous QB because of his willingness and ability to take shots deep (I love Hurts too). Both are unflappable. Both run the RPO extremely well (though differently because Foles was a threat to throw deep and Hurts is a threat to run). Foles came from behind in that SB and brought that team from the dead in 2018. I'm not sure Hurts can do that yet (he may be able to).
      Would love to see the teams in a dream match-up. Fun to think about.

      @@academicdeaneducation6671 bro your flat out wrong this team is way more talented. Just look at the depth on the D line Brandon Graham is back up with 10+ sacks. Foles dosent even compare to Hurts who can beat you with his arms and legs

    • @academicdeaneducation6671
      @academicdeaneducation6671 Рік тому +1

      @@Mon-zw4ui Fun debate but you're comparing Graham of today with Graham of 5 years ago? Same with Fletcher Cox. Five years can be a lifetime in the NFL. The backfield was better. The D-Line was better (everyone feared them). The defensive backfield may be a wash. The O-line may be a wash as well (remember, they were considered the best O-line in the game back then as well). Today's receivers, as a whole, may be better. Of course Hurts is better with his legs but Foles was better with his arm. Foles played great when the pressure was on AND he did so when everyone thought both 2017 and 2018 were over. He hadn't receives first team reps. Pretty difficult to do. He beat the best defense, then turned around and beat the Patriots powerful offense (coming from behind). The following year, that team was dead until he came in. Beat The Rams, Texans (with Watson), and the Bears (everyone's SB dark horse. Nearly beat Saints in NO.
      NO disrespect to Hurts. I really want him to win. They are different and Hurts hasn't accomplished as much YET.

It is very easy to downplay the past - to forget how good that team was and how good their opponents were. This team has to win though. If they don't win, well, results speak for themselves. Ultimately, it's all decided on the field. Your point is well taken. Sunday can't come soon enough.

    @floydian022 Рік тому +15

    @4:27 - I just want to add to the analysis on this particular play(which was great, btw, as was this entire video) that there's a particular reason WHY #57 chose to flow towards the weak side: it's because the Eagles ran another play earlier in the game out of the exact same formation/look, and #57 didn't flow on that play and instead chose to cover Goedert(and upon reading that, Hurts handed off to Sanders for a 12 yard gain). #57 remembered that previous play and didn't want to be wrong again, which is why he flowed the next time he saw that look. Except that's the problem with defending the Eagles' offense - they design these plays to make you be wrong *either way*. It's one thing when teams run multiple plays out of the same formation, but it takes things to an entirely other dimension when a team does that AND designs multiple run/pass options within the same play, and does so in a manner that makes for a relatively instantaneous read from the QB in order to react and select the correct option accordingly.
    And also, please don't take that last bit as me saying "it's 100% the system and not the QB", b/c that's simply not true either(and Chris Simms is an absolute clown for that take, btw). It still takes a truly special QB with elite football IQ *and* throwing *and* running abilities like Hurts, in order to be able to not only make those split-second post-snap reads but also to execute the QB run options that are built into many of these plays. This is some truly 4D chess-level stuff, and it's fun af to watch.

      Nah man this offense is impossible to stop and we’ve seen good offenses like the chiefs torch that 49ers defense even the raiders with their backup quarterback

    How the eagles dominated the defensive lines: the referees

    Tired of weak liberal like analysis. Giants were one of the worst teams in football at defending the run yet he arbitrarily says they have a "very good" defensive line. They gave up 5.2 ypc during the regular season and ranked 31st. Yes, out of 32 teams this "very good" defensive line was 31st against the run. Middle of the pack against the pass checking in at 15. Looking for good analysis on the internet is like waiting for Gadot.

      What? They have played amazing all year to what would have been more like a 1 or 2 loss season if jalen stayed healthy. The eagles D is ranked 5th In points allowed per game, they are 16th in rush D, 2nd in passing D, and 1st in total yard per game and the most sacks and if not for Minshew throwing picks 2 games straight they would lead in turnover differential. They have gotten to every single qb they have played, they are much better then Dallas at it and Purdy didn't look great at all.....he will be manhandled Sunday

      How do you "wait for a Gadot"? What is your reference the actress? What are you referencing? Good info about the Giants DL.

      That Saints game was a freaking month ago. And don't give me that it's just the Giants shit, when after week 18 and the wildcard game. Nearly every Giants fan thought they stood a chance. This game was an example of talent meeting Execution.
