“Rejection is redirection” That’s literally the best thing I’ve ever heard in my whole life
NO WAY COLIE MADE IT ON THE NEWS OMG
MIT rejected me. I ended up going to Virginia Tech instead where I would meet my now wife.
Parents, please teach your children that "No" is a complete sentence and a part of life. For every "no" I received, the "yes" that followed was a blessing.
When my daughter got rejected from her dream college last year, as a parent I felt relieved when she said 'That is their loss'
As a mom of a senior, I have watched Nicole the last couple of years. For those saying "whats the big deal"... it shows that even kids that are high profile, youtube famous, seem to have it all going for them, they get rejected too. We all realize tons of kids get rejected, but to show this side publicly, is a good relatable thing. There are alot of kids who watch her, who might feel a little bit better knowing even people they may look up to, get rejected. And that its ok to have those feelings, and not be embarrased. This is a good thing people ❤
Everyone shares their acceptance but what about the rejection?? I think it’s really important to share that too!!
I'm a mom of a son who was rejected by his dream school. I feel so sad for all of these seniors who have worked so hard to only be rejected. My son has a perfect GPA, super active in school, has HUGE accomplishments in high school, took Dual and Concurrent Enrollment College classes, all GATE, Honors, and AP classes, and so much more. I always think to myself, what more did they want from him? I'm with Nicole's mom...do they know what they're missing out on?! He's not just an amazing student, but he is a good human! Thankfully he had a choice of really great schools that did accept him and we are excited for his future journey in college! To those students out there who did not get accepted in your dream college: God has a plan and a purpose for you and His plans are perfect. You will be where you're supposed to be and you will succeed! You may not see it now, but you will and you'll look back and say, I get it! ❤
I love the way her little brother hugged her🫶🏾
This is very brave of her. Man i even shed a few tears for her. In the end i know it will all work out.
I been watching Nicole since 6th grade
My son was also rejected at his dream school. He was devastated until he went to talked to one of his favorite teachers & decided on his alma mater. My son is graduating in May & loved every second of it & has made Dean's List every semester. He told me he is so glad he was rejected (secretly so was I). Sometimes dreams take a different path unbeknownst to us.
I pray she has the best experience at the school that she goes to
This hits home in many ways. 10 years ago I was a senior in high school and like Colie, UCLA was my dream school. I was rejected and did not take it very well, constantly comparing myself to others on Facebook who were accepted and feeling like the most incompetent student despite actually doing the most I could. At 17 that kind of stuff is very hard to deal with. However, after a lot of retrospection and motivation, 2 years later I apply again from community college and do get accepted :) It was one of the happiest days of my life. 4 years after that I get into my dream company and dream job and that was probably the happiest day of my life. All success comes from rejection, and I think once you know what it feels like to be at the very bottom, it gives you even more impetus to do your best. We don't know what success looks like if we never fail
The fact that you put this up, shows you are a WINNER!
I've been watching Nicole for the longest time. And I can say that I felt all those emotions that she felt when getting rejected. And I'm honestly so proud of her for being the resilient person she is. She is the sweetest and I'm so glad she feels at home at SDSU ❤❤
Wow. The accomplishments that this girl has made is insane. Beyond proud of you Nicole
I applied to UCLA's film program back in the day, which is what I thought I wanted to do. However, I missed the application deadline because someone gave me the wrong info, and I was totally out for a while. Then, I decided to go to SMC for two years and apply again. In those two years, I realized that USC was a much better choice FOR ME and what I wanted to do (that school/program wasn't even on my radar two years prior). So then when I finished college, I applied to both programs and got accepted to both. But I chose USC and I loved it there! I realized that sometimes not getting what you
As someone who has been watching Nicole for 3 years now, it was really tough to see her go through all that. I am not anywhere close to receiving my college decisions and nowhere near even applying to colleges but her video has taught me that if I do get rejected (Which will most definitely happen) that the emotions you feel are valid and that if you want to go cry, go cry.
Been watching Colie on UA-cam since she was 11 dancing in Matt's videos or other dances and she's absolutely grown into a beautiful woman and has a great head on her shoulders. Her family is just the best support any kid could ever hope of having and she is completely blessed. As a part of her community and viewers, we're so proud of her accomplishments and where she is today! <3
