@B Pope the "legal drinking age" is a completely arbitrary rule. Some countries allow 16 year olds to drink. Thats not the problem. It's easy to manipulate someone to do more extreme requests when they're drunk. They preyed upon his inebriation and his desire to be accepted.
@B Pope I'm talking about other countries genius...🤦🏽♂️ Like the Netherlands, or Italy. Where the drinking age is 16. And it's COMPLETELY arbitrary! lt wasn't even federal law until 1984. States were forced to adopt the policy, or loose 10% of their funding. And it's way easier to be peer pressured to do things you wouldn't normally do when you're drunk. Could he have made better decisions? Sure, but once he's no longer in control of his body, his peers have a responsibility to ensure his safety. Blaming an individual does nothing to alleviate the overall predatory nature of frat culture in universities.
@B Pope First off, calf down with the OOOOOVER EXXXXXTENDING OOOOF WOOOOORDS. And you're exactly right, he was trying to be a part of of something. He wanted to be accepted. So of course he's going to be way more susceptible to pressure, and doing questionable things. Couple that with intoxication, you're not even in full control of your body at that point. Should he have made different choices? Absolutely. But that doesn't make everyone involved free of responsibility. And you know what? You're absolutely right! He was drinking illegally underage. Which means they were supplying an underage person with alcohol. Meaning they have cosiquences to face. My entire point though, that this death was unecessary and avoidable. If hazing wasn't part of the process.
It IS being jumped into a gang. The BIGGEST, MOST POWERFUL, EVIL GANG IN THE WORLD is the MASONS/ZIONISTS/SATANISTS (some of them don't realize that they are Satanists, that that is the end goal, but it is). This is disgusting that they were TEXTING about not wanting to go to jail while this kid is being tortured and dying. He probably wondered “where are my friends!?” While these disgusting kids stalled instead of making a call that could probably save his life. To know he looked like he got hit by a car, WHAT DID this guys do to him!?
Not a concerning cycle, people willing join frats they’re a reason they’re frat are usually filled with dumbasses it’s because they’re are the people that are drawn towards that idea
I went to college in NY and I was pressured into drinking too much, no one took me to the hospital but the guy who pressured me to drink felt so bad that he carried me to my roommates bathroom and sat with me to make sure I was okay, he laid down a towel on the floor so I could rest my head on something and he made sure I stayed on my side, I remember him making me drink water and I remember him putting a cold washcloth on my face. The way your kids behave is definitely how you raise them, I don’t blame him for getting me to drink so much because I agreed to do it. I’m actually still very good friends with him, he’s probably the only thing that kept me alive that night because he took responsibility for his own actions before it was too late, and decided instead of partying he was going to make sure the person he got drunk was going to be okay. Moral of the story: don’t pressure people to drink, but also don’t let people pressure you. It’s okay to say no, it’s okay to be sober
Eh man that's true on your comment. It's how they were raised. I find spoiled rich fucks are completely ignorant to anything but themselves. Narcissistic. People who struggle, and appreciate their kids, that's the type of guy who helped you out I'd bet.

That makes no sense. Why the hell would he be scared from having a few beers quickly and accidentally falling down stairs drunk off his ass? I'm sure he wasn't scared by the "hazing" - which was just binge drinking - which is the reason he pledged the frat to begin with.
@@matt8239 - obviously your an idiot. He was DRUNK when he fell down the stairs. Once your old enough to have a beer in 8 more years you'll understand that you don't really feel pain when your drunk. You don't KNOW your dying when its happening. Either he just feel woozy or sleepy or didn't even know anything at all. Just like the non-doctor 19yr old frat brothers didn't know he was dying either. I get plenty of pussy, and friends without my fraternity. However, I think that my specific fraternity aligns with my goals in life, and sets me on a path to complete that goal. Being with different people, mobilized by tenants is good for me.
I graduated with a 3.9. Went to law school. The alumnis in my frat opened many doors into my professional career. So go figure why people rush frats. Much more than just "buying friends."
Intent, maybe not. But gross negligence? Most definitely. These guys were covering their butts, not looking out for him. For that they're guilty. Lock em up and throw away the key.
I couldn’t help but laugh at the comment “there should be NO underage drinking”. Because that’s so realistic. The real issue here is the frat dunces that waited 8-12 hours to get the poor kid help. All colleges would benefit from teaching these students that regardless of how much trouble you think you’ll get in, you should always call 911 in an emergency.
@@gi295 a BAC *four times the legal limit* carries zero fault? That's precisely the allure of fraternities, or clubs of any sort: there's a sacrifice to be made. That way, membership becomes something special. If there are no requirements, then membership is no big deal. Hazing is a rite of passage, and as humans we are suckers for such things. Whether it's the first crossing of the Equator, Mensur fencing, circumcision etc. - all of which are very unpleasant, but more to the point they are unpleasant by design. And such traditions are kept alive because... reasons.

When I was in my early 20's, my best mate and I went to a party. I got talking to a girl, he started playing drinking games in another room. He got very drunk, very quickly. I hadn't seen him in maybe an hour, so I went looking for him. He was face down next to the table where everyone was still playing drinking games - completely ignoring him. I turned him over to find him with a bleeding head and foaming at the mouth. No one seemed to give af. I snapped into sobriety in a matter of seconds and called an ambulance. I carried him downstairs with the help of one other friend and went to the hospital in the ambulance with him then sat in the waiting room for 8 hours, calling his mother to tell her what had happened. Thankfully he made a full recovery and was discharged a day later. I did all that because I knew he'd do the same for me. But I would have done it for anyone. Surround yourself with people who will call an ambulance for you. Fk everyone else.
I’ve lived up in College Township for about 6 years now. I remembered when this happened and it was just like another “here we go again situation”. There are so many other stories like this or ones involving excessive intoxication where and individual(s) gets hurt. I work where the main fraternities and student apartments meet. Wether it’s a football weekend or just a busy Saturday night there is always that feeling like something like this is gonna happen. It’s tiring to have your town in the news for something negative. Especially when there hasn’t very little to anything done to prevent fraternities from partying. It’s sad to see it. There needs to be more attention to not only this, but how events like these can be prevented. Banning a fraternity from throwing parties isn’t going to stop anything.
the grief and sadness in this boys family's eye is unspeakable. this will never get their family member back. while these frat brats are roaming around. I really hope that this family and victim achieve justice in this matter. horrible just horrible. you raise your child, just to have a bunch of suckers take your child's life away. life in prison wouldn't be punishment enough for them. eye for an eye would be appropriate.
Alia Khan so kill all 16 members of the fraternity who didn't do anything to save him? Nah fam, sending them to prison for the appropriate time for all those who are involved is the right thing to do.
I always worry about people when they throw up and pass out in random spots. People think “oh they’re fine. You’re overreacting.” But, they don’t realize that’s alcohol poisoning and they can die from too much consumption or from choking on their own vomit. People need to be taught more on safety and be more cautious of their actions.
This has happened to me also. I fell very hard on the back of my head with a person in my arms, went knock out for some time and I was brought to my tent and went to sleep. One hour later I woke up shivering and puking, got some help and went back to sleep. The next day I was brought to the hospital because I was fainting. Right now, four months later I'm still not recovered. But I guess I got lucky I'm still alive. Head injuries are very serious so better look for medical help soon as possible if you ever get in a situation like this.
When is this country finally going to outlaw fraternities and sororities? So many innocent and promising young individuals have died due to hazing. It’s detestable
R Navs my best friend was an alcoholic so he moved to a "dry county" (I live in the south) to get away from alcohol. He died from driving drunk in that county shortly after moving there. Prohibition does not work. Making campuses or counties "dry" does not work.
instead of fighting alcohol, we need to learn to accept it and teach it right to these kids. The rest of the world can handle it, so can we. Need to show them that having drinks is great for social events and acceptable, but that too much is dangerous.
I guess we need to start a public campaign to remind boys they should call 911 during an emergency? If u don’t know what to do in a medical situation CALL 911!
What's this bullshit about banning drinking on college campuses? The prohibition of alcohol from younger people has caused a culture of binge drinking. Of course we shouldn't let minors down glasses of whiskey. But pushing to ban alcohol is not gonna solve anything. Take some personal responsibility for things. It's tragic that these people's child died, but don't blame the bottle, for every kid who decides to go overboard, there are thousands enjoying beers with others. Stop legislating, and start educating, not abstinence ( news flash! Kids will always want to get fucked up) but what do when something like this happens. stop making kids afraid to call the police if something like this happens.
fulbuter aaa I agree. We are the most strict country on drinking. Other country's age laws are 16 or 18 but the US has problems with alcohol and those countries dont. Here its so taboo and kids will binge drink. Its kinda like telling someone not do something makes them wanna do it. Making drinking so strict makes it a big deal. If we lowered the age to 18 it wouldnt be such a big deal.
fulbuter aaa there has been a such thing as a dry campus all across colleges in the US. It's not unheard of I attended one. All we did was smuggle it into backpacks and go in the dorm.
@@_jay51That's stupid. No one gets hurt drinking in a lecture hall. We used to drink beer during maths lectures, which is probably the safest form of alcohol consumption.

Time to educate yourself before you make a dumb ass statement like this. Hazing is a huge problem that needs to be combated, but there are many fraternizes that don't have any form of hazing. I agree we need to get rid of the bad ones, but a good fraternity is one of the greatest ways to make life long friends on campus. Something that can be challenging for many incoming freshmen
The fact that they weren't responsible enough to call 911 within the first hour is a demonstration of their character and their unreadiness for college. They should be expelled and charged with manslaughter at the very least

They control the money in the world, and the highest positions in the land. Boy and Girl Scouts are the first rung of training. The Greeks system, is the second, and first very serious training/initiation into this world. Joining the Masons is the third. Some masons will obviously never have any real power, and never know what the organization is really about. But, those who join from the Ivies and baby Ivies, will at least have a tiny taste...
I'm sure my comment will sound absolutely nutty to some. But, if you do research, all of this information is out there, and from mainstream resources. They just never put them all in one place.

There needs to be more attention to not only this, but how events like these can be prevented. Banning a fraternity from throwing parties isn’t going to stop anything.

They all got away with it. American justice at its finest
When is this country finally going to outlaw fraternities and sororities? So many innocent and promising young individuals have died due to hazing. It’s detestable
The dad is unrealistic. There will always be drinking on college campuses, even dry campuses.
Hazing accomplishes nothing. They are already worthy of being a student no one needs to prove anything.
Thank you. It is pretty clear cut, but nooo...We must complicate everything.
@@_jay51That's stupid. No one gets hurt drinking in a lecture hall. We used to drink beer during maths lectures, which is probably the safest form of alcohol consumption.
I don't care what anyone said i would have called 911 as soon as he got injured
Me too
THIS IS [expletive] INSANE
Fucking
chilliecheesecake thank you for the input

All they had to do was call the emergency services wow. So selfish and cowardice.
I don’t feel sorry for them
NO ONE needs to be in ANY FRATERNITY.
I know so many friends and acquaintances that never got anywhere near those filthy gangs, and they are STILL ALIVE.
Energizer Erica not every fraternity is bad but a lot of them are slap dicks
Trill Vin what does slack dick mean
Time to educate yourself before you make a dumb ass statement like this. Hazing is a huge problem that needs to be combated, but there are many fraternizes that don't have any form of hazing. I agree we need to get rid of the bad ones, but a good fraternity is one of the greatest ways to make life long friends on campus. Something that can be challenging for many incoming freshmen
How could you literally watch someone dying without even trying to help or atleast CALL for help
The fact that they weren't responsible enough to call 911 within the first hour is a demonstration of their character and their unreadiness for college. They should be expelled and charged with manslaughter at the very least
12....hours!?
Please anyone tell me the reason why is fraternity still exist in our country?! I just really don't understand
walter reaves
Its a whole luciferian thing
They're social organizations that have been around longer than a majority of universities. They provide more than you could ever know to a college student, yet the only stories that make headlines are the negatives. Seems like the media is full of a bunch of GEEDS
They provide shelter for a group of insecure men that need the reassurance of a group. Similar to a gang.
walter reaves it's to weed out certain individuals for the working class.
Legal gangs, like the police or certain higher ups in Congress and Hollywood.
All they had to do was call an ambulance on time and he would still be here today. 12 hours?
I’m so sorry for that family loss, you could see those boys are loved
My heart goes out to this family. In the end no punishment will undo the damage. Keeping you in my prayers:)
0:20 Looks like the next wave of problematic senators: Hayden, Jayden, Brayden, and Okayden
I am [Expletive] outraged that these [Expletives] can be so heartless for their friend in his [Expletive] time of need.
12 hours?? Really. Gross and selfish of those frat guys for trying to help themselves instead of a dying boy.
I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I went to Penn state games all the time and had several friends who went there for college and it’s a beautiful campus . I agree that alcohol should not be aloud on campuses it causes more problems than anything good .
My thoughts and prays go out his family, this is very sad.
His parents didn’t think there would be underage drinking? What a tragic slap of reality. When he decided to join the fraternity I’m sure his family wondered how bad the hazing would be. What an unnecessary loss that nobody wants to take responsibility for.
Ooh man the mom's eyes at 4:16 nearly killed me. Pure grief
I have three brothers in frats and I can tell you from what they've told me they do awful stuff to you, awful stuff , I'm starting my freshman year in the fall and let me tell I won't step foot in a fraternity
More like avoid university.
To me, had I known about the debt trap, I would have never even bothered to go.
I would have still been working at Safeway.
