  • Here is a reasonably chronological sequence of videos showing repairs I finally performed to improve my efficiency and TRACTION. The outriggers on the trencher were working against me. Not any more!
    I failed to mention in the video that I also inserted washers in the joint pins on the boom during lubrication so the old girl no longer jingles like a chain.

    Back in business! That's all that matters. Recently broke a tooth shank off my bucket trying to pry a tree root (bad idea). Welded it back on and so far so good. Keep having fun!

    I can lay down the worst looking weld bead you've ever seen, but Grandpa always said, "Don't care how it looks, long as it holds." . 😂
