I can’t really get to the stator the screws are really rusted and I’m wondering if I could contact you for help about that, also what should I use once I get it open to smooth it out.
Idk if you have removed the screws successfully yet, but once u do get them out I'd just replace them with stainless steel screws of the same size and head type.
Ill always replace any hardware on my sirens with stainless steel. It can get a little costly, but you'll never again deal with rusted hardware.

@@sirensofgahannaOhio I've looked at pics and it appears those stator screws are a screw with a nut on the other side. Is that the case with yours? Because if so, i would suggest cutting your losses with those screws and grind off their head. Then u can pop out the remainder of its threads and the nut. Then just replace with brand new hardware. Be careful when grinding. Try not to take any stator material off when grinding the screw head down. If u scratch it a tiny bit, u probably could smoothen it out with some sanding and new paint.
The chopper motor is similar to a thunderbolts

Do you have a tutorial on how to wire the Model 2 to 240V?
It’s very simple. Just take the 2 lives from your house ( ether from 2 phases or from a dryer outlet) I have one on my 2nd channel.
Where can you get new bearings?
eBay. I don’t remember the part number tho.
I'll look at the part number once my model 2 arrives. Should be here in a week or 2

Will the fields from a model 2-240 work in a thunderbolt?
Yes. They are pretty much the same. As long it’s for 240v
The motor from a 240 or 120v model 2 will work in a thunderbolt. Just make sure to only put 120 or less if u put a 120v motor in it. There even are some thunderbolts in service with 120v choppers in them.

What kind of motor starter do you recommend?
Probably a size 1 with a 20 amp overload.
Sorry, i should have been more specific, a starter for 240V 20Amps.
@@lilomelet68 most starters are rated for 240 across the contacts and the coil is normally 120v.
How many inches is the chopper on one of these things?
I believe it’s like 5 or 6 inch.

The model 2 has the same motor brushes as the thunderbolt 1003, 1000t, 1000
