I’ve been doing it the hard way. I use my own photo for the Lock Screen and use the photos edit feature to add text. In addition to my name I also include the phone number of the phone. Text can be placed anywhere on the screen. This technique can be used with nearly any cell phone, including flip phones.
Phone number of the phone? I have there phone number to my wife, so she can do something. Honestly, i really don't see what your number, if phone lost, can do for you ;)

The Widget method is more visible and probably most preferable for those that like the Focus mode to let their iPhones control their lives. (Not me … I’m retired. I now have time to do things when and if I so choose🤣) The Any Text Widget opens up other useful ideas!

hi warren from Australia I worked out how to put my focus with my name but I don't understand why it gives you an option to pick a colour. Because when you pick a colour it doesn't come out in colour you pick red but your name was white. I've had the same problem.
Must be a bug. I think I know what you are saying. I can only pick red as the background and white text. Hopefully the developers will provide a fix soon.

You can change the icon, but not delete it as one must be selected. The default is the 😀 icon; Daniel just changed it to the 🔥 icon, not added. I agree it would be nice if there was an option to have it blank, but it is a nice feature to have my name on the Lock Screen to help someone find me if I left my phone somewhere.

For people wondering why this is useful it's because probably if your phone is lost. You can also put your secondary number if you want so they can contact it so they can tell you they found it. Or just put your social medias there too xD.

I put my name in the background image, real easy to do with the foto app and works always.
