Useful again for many years to come! Fantastic restoration. It does sound a bit a rich running. But that can be adjusted quickly enough. Best of luck in your future endeavors, guys.
Great job. I love the setting of your workshop, in the middle of the jungle with animals sounds from parrots, birds and chickens. I wish you kept the painting in an enclosed area to protect your beautiful environment.
I use to own one of these Yamaha 60s when I was a Kid in the seventies. Its was great fun and just as fast as the 80 was. My cousin had an 80 and we rode them together all the time. I have fond memories of my 60 Yamaha so much fun to ride.
I am super impressed! I am a subscriber. My wife has a great saying and she is smarter than me. "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." Her mom said that before she passed. You exemplify this notion. How long do the piston mods last? I am not asking as a troll. Keep up the great work! We love your videos!
I’ll be picking my old gt80 up from my parents house to restore. It’s been in their shed for 40years and I’m feeling nostalgic, but want to convert to electric. I have no acumen when it comes to gas engines.

Hi, I'm from Nicaragua, Central America. In 1992 I bought a 2-stroke yamaha gt 80cc motorcycle, model 1988, I bought it from a neighbor for US$800 with an 8-month term but since I had an accident 2 times, I paid for it in 10 months hahaha. In 1995 I sold it and I regret it to this day because I lent that money plus US$200 to add US$1,000 and they didn't pay me, my father's cousin was my rat lawyer hahaha Until now when I see this video and hear that sound it came to me mind my cute little Yamaha GT 80cc two-stroke motorcycle. GOD BLESS YOU MUCH MORE.
My wife loves the healthy nature sounds too // India has a much more biodynamic environment with rich flora & fauna because its not hyper industrialized like other countries // thankfully

You guys make it all look so simple and easy. I think I'll restore a 1964 Honda 150cc Benley this afternoon, after I've had a few beers. Then I'll sell it tomorrow at a big profit. 😃

Next time make sure you remove the grease from the transmission bearings before you install them, that grease can cause clutch slip if it finds its way into the clutch plates. Good job otherwise.
The one little ball bearing you forgot to put back in ? Also sounds like it's struggling alot power wise tuning off or something it don't sound right... I had one next size up and ran way pepper...
When rust pits down deep into the metal like this, there is no way to ever remove it. He painted over it, so after a short while it will begin to bubble up with rust all over again.
The best part of it is the cleaning of engine parts using strong solution like gasoline without gloves and then buffing using grinder with the proper gloves. What a terrible idea🤔🤔🤔
Running into the table at the end was superb. love from NY USA :)
