    lol I don't know how they keep innovating with fans.

    • @WARnTEA
      @WARnTEA 7 років тому +40

      What they didn't mention is that those new A series fans are completely designed to work with their noisecancellation technology. It has to be such a small clearance because they are putting electro magnets on the tip of each fanblade, and will have a microphone connected to electronics that will slightly pull the blades to eliminate vibrations. This is why they needed to invent the new plastic.
      If it was any other fan company, noise cancellation fans would be out years ago, but Noctua has been working so hard to meet their 6 year warranty standards.
      With so much money put into developing this new material, it looks like they are launching the fan ahead of time to start generating some profits while they wait for noisecancellation to finish development.
      The one thing they didn't mention is price, and I really wonder how expensive these new fans will be with the metal construction and LCP. Probably at least $30 a fan which is insane, especially if they are going to stick to the brown colors. I don't think this new construction is going to give much improvement until the noisecancellation heatsink is on the market.

      Gentle typhoons just look similar to these due to the shape of the blades, but you can tell even at a glance that the really tight fit is so far unique to these, and +Ajblue already explained the reason why Noctua went through all the trouble of developing their own plastic just to pull that off.

Please in the future try to focus on spending a little more time w/ vendors that can actually tell you about the scientific and competitive advantages of their products, rather than just spelling out "we have all the features" like all the rest of the tech tubers.

    I build my pc in b/w style and yet that's how much I appreciate Noctua: I bought NH-U12S which comes with poop style fans. I took out that one and put it to the front of the case. That's the only place of the case that I can't see from where I sit. Then I bought the pricy black industrial one (still comes with poop style anti-vibration fan mount) for the heatsink. But the poop was still there. So I went back and bought a set of white chromax anti-vibration mounts and changed them. That's the kind of brand that Noctua is for me.
