How refreshing to have someone who knows WTF they're talking about instead of a BS artist. Thank you Logan :)
Dont downplay artists. Both groups are necessary. If youre talking about specs like this, then obviously you should have an engineer.
You mean Thank You Jacob (and of course Logan gets a thumbs up for being the first tech-tuber to bring us this great info).
We need Noctua coolers for *GPUs*.
yes we do
My guy you predicted the future
Noctua .. doing gods work
jlrockafella Nacho Cheese is god.
No gods, only men.
Peter J humens lol ... I'm sure there are ladies involved
I'm a fan.... see what I did there?
Men as in human...or did you get triggered?
The combination of low bg noise, the plethora of information by the actual manufacturer rep plus the on point questions qualify this as the best//informative Computex 2017 video I've watched so far. Good fraking job.
The joys of actually having passion for the work you made a career out of. I didn't think fan tech could be interesting until interviews with Noctua.
lol I don't know how they keep innovating with fans.
What they didn't mention is that those new A series fans are completely designed to work with their noisecancellation technology. It has to be such a small clearance because they are putting electro magnets on the tip of each fanblade, and will have a microphone connected to electronics that will slightly pull the blades to eliminate vibrations. This is why they needed to invent the new plastic.
If it was any other fan company, noise cancellation fans would be out years ago, but Noctua has been working so hard to meet their 6 year warranty standards.
With so much money put into developing this new material, it looks like they are launching the fan ahead of time to start generating some profits while they wait for noisecancellation to finish development.
The one thing they didn't mention is price, and I really wonder how expensive these new fans will be with the metal construction and LCP. Probably at least $30 a fan which is insane, especially if they are going to stick to the brown colors. I don't think this new construction is going to give much improvement until the noisecancellation heatsink is on the market.
Where is the linked proof to this?
Gentle typhoons just look similar to these due to the shape of the blades, but you can tell even at a glance that the really tight fit is so far unique to these, and +Ajblue already explained the reason why Noctua went through all the trouble of developing their own plastic just to pull that off.
I don't mind paying for what is good, tho price and performance should be kept in mind
I had lots of fans too, and noctuas are by far the best I had
I loved this episode, and I loved how you didn't butt in too much and let him do the explaining, really shows your genuine interest and feeds mine as well.
Noctua is amazing!
Who needs water cooling.
Richard Patry i love my NH-D14
What if you put noctua fans on your radiators.
someone who wants a a good looking fan :D this is the only thing that makes me hate them plllz release black or other colored fans
then they will become mainstream and unrecognizable
Javier Lafarga if they stay the same in how good they are they wont be same goes for famous other manufactores
I love Noctua so much. Their never-ending quest to improve the engineering on something that seems so simple and that we all take for granted is wonderful in its focus.
its an austrian company
they would be thinking something along the line of
"aesthetic? who need aesthetic when the product is the best in performance category?"
Have u seen austrian architecture?👀
Same with KTM lol
Wow! The biggest takeaway is that a fan acts like a speaker!
evofx some of the subs for the Super low end are mechanical so it makes sense.
This is one of my favorite videos from you in months man.
wow .. one of the best videos from Computex so far ... these guys from Noctua are crazy ! Seriously !
I'm sticking a bunch of these in my next build. I love a company that has so much passion for their products. I wish more things could be this way.
Jacob is an awesome person
Awesome. I'm a big stickler for aesthetics in my PC but I run all noctua fans in my build. I put up with the color for the performance they offer. Bravo Noctua. Continuing to show why they're tops in their field.
Jacob is a beast. I could listen to him for hours explaining all the wonders behind the engineering of Noctua
I've been waiting for noctua's coverage on computex but no other techtuber did. You earned my sub for this.
Hell yeah! Time for a black and brown build! Noctua fans turn me on. Can we get them in GPUs? Please? Pretty please?
GeckoDan check out my build #Anthrax8 I agree Noctua on black is sexy. I also modded a 750 Ti FTW with a slim 92mm fan. Names @TheProfosist BTW ;)
GeckoDan poop fans on gpu please god no
Logan, This type of coverage is so much better than just going over the "feature set" of all of the different motherboard vendors slightly different motherboards. Please in the future try to focus on spending a little more time w/ vendors that can actually tell you about the scientific and competitive advantages of their products, rather than just spelling out "we have all the features" like all the rest of the tech tubers.
Thanks to Logan and CRIT TV for great coverage.
So much SCIENCE!
He blinded me, with Science!
Not if if it's science or just good research?
I love this CPU cooler. I have a Noctua NH-U12P since Feb 11, 2013 and it hasn't ever failed me.
Top notch quality.
That guy really loves his job. Kind of jealous, I get bored 1/4 of the way down a wikipedia page while this guy could talk for hours just about designing fans and gets paid to do so.
They have bullet proff fans now?
Its for the dedicated first person shooter fans.
Jubileu Ousado its vr ready when you have your pc packback on and you get flanked from your six
Noctua still the best in market. Still rocking my DH-14.
I fucking love Noctua!
Oh, and Noctua, feel free to skip the RGB ridiculousness.
I'm definitely going back to Noctua for my next build. I switched to AIO Corsair H100 and that was my biggest mistake. lol. Same or slightly worse peformance with so much more noise than Noctua. They'd be even louder if it wasn't for the noise dampeners in my Ghost case. lol.
"Noctua aesthetics?!" :( I love Noctua's cream and tan look.
That has allways been a turn off for me
It is a lot of fun to hear someone who's passionate about his work.
Wow this Noctua Guy did a very nice and informed presentation of their products. More companies need guys like him. Using their current gen fans, but the new A-Series look very promising. Nice Crit Video as usual.
Great video! It's good to know that Threadripper will have a heatsink on launch date. Noctua is awesome.
A great segment. This is a company to root for. Very Impressive!
I love Noctua's dedication, man. I mean, in all honesty, who the hell cares THIS MUCH about freaking fans? lol
Andrés Cifuentes have you seen linus tech tips cherry mx factory tour? i never thought that switches needed that fucking much testing
Its what makes a good business/company
You have no idea how happy I am to see that all white Chromax cover for NH-U12S
I love that they're doing colours without RGB. Absolutely fabulous.
Year 2022 - Jakob: "Our fans now will be made out of kevlar and carbon nanotubes".
we're waiting noctua
mighty impressed by noctua rep. amazing knowledge for their product.
Good interview. And thats why I prefer Noctua HS's and Fans. Their support is pretty good as well.
this video is exactly what I need it to watch.
Wow Noctua should really consider getting into the fidget spinner business.
Mr. NumbKnob it'll be a Kevlar fluid dynamic bearing spinner with an option for an ultra low noise adaptor hahaha
Yeah lol
fidget spinners are cancer...
I agree
It would literally spin forever. Woah.
Great video, your right that dude knows his stuff, good choice including the rep.
I build my pc in b/w style and yet that's how much I appreciate Noctua: I bought NH-U12S which comes with poop style fans. I took out that one and put it to the front of the case. That's the only place of the case that I can't see from where I sit. Then I bought the pricy black industrial one (still comes with poop style anti-vibration fan mount) for the heatsink. But the poop was still there. So I went back and bought a set of white chromax anti-vibration mounts and changed them. That's the kind of brand that Noctua is for me.
I really appreciate you sharing this engineer's explanation.
Amazing. Love all of this.
Shut up and take my money now .
Enjoyed this content, Logan. Interesting and educational and definitely not standard :-)
Killer work! Keep it up. Although I'm crying foul for the fake doodle image polymer representation. great video.
this guy is amazing. More content like this plzzz. Super interesting
Very nice and informative video. Jacob has explained everything very well.
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY. great thought has gone into this product, incredible. I'm sold
12:21 "a lot of people bought them just because they're black"
And now they don't work
@@orifkhodjaev1449 I think this is black slavery reference
I bought black Noctua fans some years ago for my PC radiator and all I can say - I'm damn happy! They are expensive, but they are worth it.
i am surprised linus didnt visit their booth. Seems like there is more things to talk about this year than the last
I realy enjoyed this coverage!
Yep, they sell nice stuff! Im looking forward to that new fan! Got DH15 am4 for performance and low noise and was not disappointed, gj Noctua :D
I just think it's so awesome that there's a company sticking to one thing and spending so much time and money on what they want to make as perfect as fucking possible. Noctua is badass.
I've always chosen Noctua products to cool my CPU. I've had the NH-D15 for a year and a half now and I gotta say, I am very impressed. I can't wait till what Noctua has to offer in the future (:
I'm running 5 x 140mm noctua redux static pressure series (NF-P14S-1500). amazing fans.. min/max rpm 700/1500, smoke grey, super quiet and cools well when needed
been 2 years now the system is on 24/7.. fans still whisper quiet with Fractal R5 and NH-D14 cpu cooler
This is why i only trust Noctua with anything to do with cooling .... Great stuff guys at Noctua keep it up im a long time customer and always will be
Can't wait for this. I'm about to buy NZXT Aer fans. I'm glad I found this video.
Well when I upgrade from my 990FX cpu to either X299 or X399 I'm going back to noctua from a custom water loop, this is insane, 4 years developing a fan, wow!
stay away from led amazing work great work.
love the new fan,
may of found a replacement for my typhoon fans
the fan and air cooling masters are still at it.
Don't think i'll ever go back to not using Noctua fans in any system i build.
OMG those heatsink cover!!!! I dont want to put an all black fan on my NH-u14s because I dont want the center of my case to be only black(and brown with the NF-A15). My theme in my case is blue with all Corsair SP120 with blue rings on. Now I would with this on. My build is gonna look soo sick!!
cant wait to actually use noctua, so glad that they are embracing aesthetics. Never used them cuz i couldnt get over their colors.
Noctua. Color choices! what a time to be alive
Nice video thanks for bringing Jacob interesting stuff.
I want this type of fan in 140mm industrial version wit 3000rpm 🔥🔥🙏🏻
I'm a ... fan of their work.
Noctua best compay ever! Make you want to upgrade your already good fans. Thoughts covers make me want to go back to air cooled heatsinks.
when are they gonna make a room fan... all of the ones i buy are too darn noisy
There a clients waiting for my Emails and I am here listening a lecture about how to blow air.
Noctua should integrate a graph like this in their bundle to provide a precise information about the vitess that we must apply to have the best performance in function of the use :)
Informative AF, love it
I didn't know James Blunt was at Computex and with lots of fans.
I'm stoked for the new fan.
They could've made the blades a composite, using some sort of high tensile strength lining on the undersides of the blades to counteract centrifugal bending.
Noctua - 0% aesthetics.. 100% function and quality. Haha. I use a U14s on my 7900x, it surprisingly manages to keep it acceptable temperatures even when rendering 4k videos.
The people at Noctua are like the people at the back of the class triple checking the test questions before turning the test in, just to get that 100%.
I can't tell 100%, but it looked like some of the fans shown are using rubber mounts - which for me are the best invention which have reduced vibration from the fan transmitting itself to the case - I highly recommend them
When he spun that fan....somewhere in the world a typhoon began!
I really hope they bring the new one out in black as well. I'd stack my whole case with those new 12mm fans
the Noctua NH-15 - It's a really good cooler but it's very very big and it blends through the time (5mm) that's a lot due to it's size
question: will that new a series fan that they discussed also make an appearance as a chromax fan?
Fill a Silverstone Redline RL06 with these in black color scheme and you have the coolest non liquid cooled case around. Put the black "bulletproof" plastic on the market and I'm sold.
I just used plastic dip, great for anti static and vibration, on this bad boys.
Idk why but that fan spinning feels satisfying.
better than fidget spinners
I want Noctua to make a giant box fan with this fan tech. I would buy that so fast.
when you are grown enough, you understand that Noctua probably is a money laundry business
I've seen more than one comment complaining about the color of Noctua's fans. How about you watch the fucking video? Haha, come on
I like that Noctua doesn't spend their whole budget on useless lights and provide a simple but elegant solution for aesthetics. Amazing technology, well spend research budget, this is why they are the best brand for fans and coolers.
Noctua is doing literally everything right involving aircooling
Big Up
definitely gonna get noctuas for my next build
Noctua . Why dont you just cut a groove in the inside so the expanding fan fins will go in and not touch the side.
They showed this last year.... IT BETTER COME OUT SOON
I honestly think they should go for darker colors for those fan headers and cables. I would personally buy a dark red or dark grey if they were to sell them.
we've got you covered!
I'm looking forward to these new a series fans
Now all I need is that new a-series fan in their chromax design, I would buy one to replace every case/heatsink fan in my pc
