Another cracking vid. Well done lads.
Another great video. Both whats in my bags have helped in research for the gear im buying. looking forward to getting out on the fells. thanks guys
Dave Loft out pleasure dave, glad to help...
Thanks for the vid guys, fun and informative.
A quick one to consider for water filtration the sawyer or sawyer mini 1,000's if not 1,000,000's of litres of water relatively hassle free.
Been using one for a while now and they're great.
Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing your next adventure.
Great list. A tip for the portable charger is to use boil up hand warmers ( cheap as chips) stick one in the bag with the charger every 3 hours or so to keep the cells from losing too much charge over night.
kobudo4 a great tip thank you buddy
Another great video......you have just cost me a fortune 👍
Just discovered you guys so sorry if I'm telling you something you already know but the sell the (Look what we found) meals in Morrisons as well. Brilliant channel you've given me that itch to get out there again, the rucksack is out of the loft and my 9 year old twins are well excited to go camping. Cheers guys.
Great video again and can highly recommend the "look what we found" meatball pack currently iin Asda.
Great vid its always interesting to see people's journeys, can't wait to see your list in two years time when you will be ultralight hikers with cuben fibre shelters, ultralight down top quilts, down exped mats, yak wool clothing, as a result no money and sharing crumbs from an energy bar between you lol :)
hahaaha brilliant!
Tac Blades haha genius... I wouldn't put it past us...
My rucksack has the same front opening, Lowe Alpine Manaslu 65:75. Got it from Go Outdoors, on a price match (never be afraid to ask for a price match). Banshee 200 100% recommend, used it for the West Highland Way last year. Got the same OEX sleep mat, really good. As for water filtration, I use the Sawyers Mini Filter, great bit of kit. I've got the OEX gloves, with 3000mm hydrostatic haven't tested them out in the rain yet. As for my jacket, Dare2be Ared 5000 (on sale from £95 down to £40). Look in the sales I would say as well, tend to get a lot of more expensive kit for a cheaper price. If you're using Go Outdoors, pay the fiver for the discount card and use the price match system!
Thanks for commenting - I should really buy shares in go outdoors!
Hi, excellent videos guys, really useful, I’ve got a A6300 and was wondering where you got the clip on holder for your backpack shoulder strap you describe? Many thanks
Thanks buddy, I got it from Amazon I'll try find the link for you later.... ;)
I recommend the SATMAP system for GPS. Been using it for years. Check it out.
thanks Neil, we will :)
it would be grate if you guys add a gear list to the description. but the vidieo is grate keep it up.
Thanks The North Menn.... When we get two minutes we will pop one in the description buddy!!
Popped one up now, its not everything we take but its pretty much everything we have, depending on the weather we may even take all of the above, but find your own comfort zone and work to that. Use our list as a guide only... Enjoy wild camping!!
That ends quick :) great video guys .
What boots do you use on the fells ? do they keep you dry ?
Adrian Nicholl haha yeah we thought that too.... we even cut out the outtakes to make it less than an hour haha...
I'm not sure which boots Steve uses (he can comment below this and let you know) but I use Merells (around £70 at go outdoors) great boots, I have had them about a year and they are like wearing slippers now.
In our next wild camp I will video them and you will be able to see them in the field (so to speak)
Adrian Nicholl ps they keep us dry for a bit but eventually it creeps in... that's why we use the sealskinz socks...
Top video as always guys.. a very minor gripe, a better microphone is needed.. thanks for your great videos though gents, I look forward to watching your next adventure... and more on the new DJI Drone :) atb from Leeds
Paul Sheard thanks buddy, we have just been having that exact same conversation.... thanks for the tip though... ;)
haha brilliant, great minds... :)
Platypus do red wine pouches for camping btw... I've got a couple
99% of the time u get what you pay for but recently I found decathlon's x light down jackets..only £27.99...but almost identical to my £180 rab one.worth a look 👍
Great tip, thanks :)
Hey. Where did you get the arms strap pads from please?
Hiya Peter, they are from Amazon Vzer 1 Pair Anti-slip Shoulder Strap Waist Belt Cushion Pads for Sports Backpack Ruckpack www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01L5CLA3W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5oFdDbZQWKA7T
hi, whats the food called that y.ou recommend on.
PF
Plymouth Fenns survival hiya buddy... its actually called "look at what we found" have a great day
don't suppose you could add the name of the food in the video? cheers
Harry Baker hi harry, its actually called "look at what we've found"
Colin Charlesworth, I feel so stupid, I thought you were both saying " look what we found! " any idea where best to buy it from?
Haha, don't worry about it you are not the first to say that. They sell it at Waitrose or you can buy it direct from them online (its cheaper and you can buy in bulk and it lasts ages)
Colin Charlesworth cheers buddy, I might go and see if Booths in Keswick sell them seeing as its the same as waitrose! also where online can you get them? cheers
No worries, you cant buy them direct any more (sadly) but I have found them at ASDA online groceries.asda.com/product/hot-meats-meals-chilli/look-what-we-found-staffordshire-chicken-casserole/910000523887 hope this helps
