My personal experience.. so a suggestion.... The kokum... Sola you may need to add when you add fish to the hooman... Actually my maternal house we add kokum while adding fish so the smell of the fish is balanced... At my husband's house they add kokum and bring the gravy to boil and then they add fish... This method usually leaves the (fishy) smell and you can sense it when You eat fish or gravy with rice... I found this difference of taste/smell... So shared..
