Just a small addition that some may miss in game. If you have a companion you can order them to attack a specific enemy by pinging the enemy. Makes companions semi-reliable damage for your build.
They made a feature Mordecai had but better and more versatile
Yo didn’t know this as a clawbringer so this is such a gamer changer cause I’ve been leveling for companion bonuses but thought it was kind of lame I couldn’t control him, how naive I was haha. Much appreciated! :)
@@patrickt101 Glad the post helped, some of my friends were in the same boat. I found out mostly because I was marking enemies while waiting for the rest of my group to finish offloading junk gear lol.
For any one wondering how to ping a target, it is via a hotkey that you can customize in Settings menu of the game. X is the default on PC to "ping target".
Problem is that companions tend to be weak and slow. A trick I do is to step back and let the companion attack and get mobbed by the enemies (but I keep an eye on the minimap to spot any enemy sneaking up behind me). Then I use sniper rifle to take out the enemies with headshot as they stay in place to attack my companion, and I use sigils (e.g., Fortifying sigil) and spells (e.g., Marshmallow spell, or Riviver spell that heals/revived downed companion/ally) or to spawn Hydra near the companion as support. I also use pixie guns that throw flying shooting explosive pixies when the gun is reloaded. For example, Reviver is a spell that instantly revives a downed ally/companion.

I really miss weapon camo's tbh. Yes the character selection mode is cool, but you only see yourself in the Overworld. Never cared for how I look in game, rather have a cool weapon camo, something I can see 90% of the time
I've always loved any kind of customization and usually lean to wanting to look cool/show off my Character to everyone I play with - because no one is looking at my gun lol

Yeah weapon skins are cool but I also like being able to see sick ass armor when I do hammer slams as clawbringer or spins as brrrserker
@Marco Dob Looking cool (to me) comes first, anybody else also liking my sick outfit is an added benefit.
Always gotta live for me first and anything else is added bonus ~ Even when it comes to gaming alone on shit I want when the homies wanna play Apex or Car Soccer 🤣

You can keep adds alive during bossfights for second winds, but if you have kill skills, they are also useful to proc those so you can deal more damage to the boss.

Another thing or two about character creation and the hero archetypes:
You get 10 points to allocate as you wish after you select one. That doesn't change, regardless of which one you pick, so the 'Village Idiot' for instance, gives you an overall net boost of +5 stats (+8 STR, -3 INT). This is easily the best option unless you want to create a high INT build, as none of the others give you as much of a net gain (RBE -2, FM 0, RIH +3, RA +1), meaning you're essentially getting free stat points over what you would with any of the others. The only downside, as alluded to, is that your starting stats affect your caps, so your INT cap will now be 27 instead of 30 or more. Maybe pick Recovering Inventory Hoarder in the case of a max INT/WIS build, as it also has +2 to INT and the second best net gain of +3. Even though 'Failed Monk' is meant to be the spellcaster archetype, the net of 0 and the losses to STR and DEX (Crit) are probably more detrimental than helpful.
After playing all heroes to chaos, I found myself going the -spell cooldown +whatever else background. Because at the end of the day, you can toss any low cooldown spell in your off hand to trigger spell cast enchantment. And the only one who would care for that to be a low number has ridiculous cooldown effects anyways.

Damn I'm almost done with the game but I've not seen a purple customization bag yet. But there were a few very useful point you made that I'm going to use when I get back home and launch the game. I was also wondering about the re-roll thing and I was pulling hair trying to find it. And here I have to complete the story to get it, didn't know that lol.

Super helpful. The only thing I'm curious about the weapons. Do you go after weapons with high damage or higher score?
Some classes that have companions, and those companions can revive you! (Helps for the Solo players out there!!)
Is that not exclusive to the Spore Warden’s mushroom?
Graveborn has something similar, where if you take lethal damage your companion dies instead of you.
@@flatlo Clawbringer has one too. Instead of going down, you get your ward refilled, and for a while some bonus lightning damage. But it also has a cooldown. To help with this you can get some damage reduction passives, a ward increase passive, and multiclass with another class like graveborn or spore warden.
An amazing multiclass for solo survivability is spore warden/graveborn. Mushroom companion can revive and the demi litch companion has a skill where instead of dying you sacrifice the Lich instead and come back with 75% of your max health.

you ever get a bug in chaos chambers that spawns Lissia with some goblins by a obelisk and she is immune to all damage?
Something a LOT of people seem to be failing to notice is your background/history actually reduces your MAX level of a stat. I found this out the hard way..

Yes, you effectively unlock both trees to distribute your points in whatever you please. You also gain both passive abilities and access to both action skills.

I'm finding the guns very lackluster so far, I'm level 25 and am on chapter 7

ive not come across any legendaries yet - level 20 and still using a common crossbow...
Same but I’m trying not to misjudge the game cuz I usually hate using a new character for the games but I take in each new detail. I think they made the games like this so they’re not rushed

I just hit level 31 last night and have got 2
One is a sniper name Envy and the other is a assault rifle I forget the name but the red text says, check this out it's a crossbow that shoots crossbows

At level 31 now and they're starting to get a little better, but I'm still relying more on spells and Melee
Google some skeleton key codes and do the glitch to get infinite keys. Guaranteed blue, purple or legendary loot from the chest.
Random question: Is "Ward" a common term from fantasy / D&D? I'ts the only term in the game I really haven't heard before.
Yes, it’s a common word for shield often seen in settings like D&D, Skyrim

Does the overworld mechanic take away from the gameplay because I really enjoy driving around in vehicles in the other games.
Also our legendaries a little bit more rare because they were way too common in borderlands 3 but they were all so way too rare borderlands 2.
No Overworld is a really cool addition, I'm lvl 26 I got 4 legendary drops
Legendaries are roughly back to where they should be, I haven't felt like I'm having oranges showered on me at all yet in my first few hours. in fact, only 2 of my friends who have played about the same amount have 1 legendary each.
They're definitely not as abundant as they used to be
I actually prefer the overworld, vs driving around, especially those damn driving simulator areas BL3 had. Also, it seems like legendaries in this game drop a little more than BL2 but definitely quite a bit less than BL3, which is perfect in my opinion.

Yes unfortunately, they are character specific
Never. Use. Photo. Mode. Especially while jumping, attacking, etc. It is SUPER broken and you totally will not see very funny bugs with your armor.

A ward is a shield
how do wards work… aren’t they supposed to recharge? mine was recharging until i fought the banshee and now it just won’t recharge until i go down and death save it’s weird
Sometime they bug out, they should recharge. Equipping a different ward, then switching back fixed it for me
i tired that so many time lolol i’m about to start a new character i’ve restarted game and console 10+ times i can’t get my damn ward to recharge i tried all manufacturers cuz i heard the one that starts with an h needs a manual recharge and they still don’t want to recharge lol oh well rip to me guess i’m playing with my health only
@@Drlxzel there is a tree unlock for mages that prevent then recharging but gives you +30 spell damage. Probably not the case but just a thought 👍

It means dont kill the small fry and focus on the boss, the explanation is that if you run out of health you can easily kill one of the common enemies to get back up. But if you kill them all and then fall you’ll die

How do I share gear with my other characters
Put it into the Bank available in Izzy's bar (soda-pop signboard) in Brighthoof city and other places. Bank is shared with all characters.
