Thanks for sharing your trip David I’m sure those memories will stay with you. It looked like you guys were spending a lot of time making water, but hey, it’s the Grand Canyon, what else is there to do except enjoy the experience and make water! Take care!
Yeah, the water filtering time was honestly some of the highlights for me. Sitting around relaxing and talking, but also working as a team to make sure we all had what we needed to survive the next day! It was a great way to bond with the friends. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for all taking a turn with the camera. I’m getting a good idea of what it will be like! What date did you start? I’m planning April 2024. Geez great flow on the filter.
We started down on the Tanner trail on 9/22/22 and came up on the Grandview trail on 9/25. If the Colorado is going to be muddy, I'd recommend having multiple filters, and multiple squeeze bags (if using a Sawyer Squeeze). We found that by letting the river water sit in a bag for 30-45 min to let the mud settle, then carefully pouring the top water into another squeeze bag and filtering that, it would go much better.
thanks for the video guys. it is very helpful to see the details of the terrain.
