You can’t use hot glue on a pot holder you’re using for a hot cast iron pan. Those handles get hot all the way to the end. It is a great idea IF it’s sewn, instead of glued because that glue WILL remelt!
So many of these "hack" videos are just designed to make an entertaining video, not to actually create useful items. Sadly most of these "projects" wouldn't last one use. Its an annoying trend
That’s not hot glue she is using. Where’s the glue gun at? That’s fabric glue.
@@PetroicaRodinogaster264She wasn’t using hot glue, did you see a glue gun? She is using fabric glue.
@@bubgum0079 I rewatched it and you’re correct. She used hot glue on several of them, but fabric glue on the cast iron holder. I still believe sewing it would work better. Glue of any kind isn’t made for that kind of heat.
@@kellywilliams529 there's something called a fabric stick with the hot glue gun you can use it and it will not come apart when you use it with heat you used it in your glue gun and it won't be dangerous or anything it will not come apart or nothing when you use heat on mittens and everything with the iron pot
Repeat and mostly just shabby! I’m disappointed! Baking tins look like baking tins! Yuck!
Right! Hate to say this but when you buy crap, just because you throw it together and add to it well it's still crap. IN MY OPINION, this is just all clutter.
My mom would've called these things dust collectors. She was crafty but made stuff she used. When she died, most of it got tossed out. Couple of these ideas are clever, the rest, well...not really.
Agree u ll find good items in reasonable price in Ross
Be careful using hot glue on projects that are exposed to high heat or direct sun. The glue can soften up and the project will fail if it does.
I love these videos but this one was filled with a bunch I have seen over and over and over again
...and over again

Yes
I agree I may unsubscribe….
Watch old ones then
Nice variety. I would suggest a needle and thread over hot glue on most applications with fabric as it does not stand up to heat or stress well.
How does hot glue do on fabric in the wash? Does it hold up? Just curious I just look at fun crafty stuff and procrastinate my self through life. 🤣 Im running out of days to do fun stuff. 🙁
Damn...I am so NOT CREATIVE! Love these ideas!
Hot glue holds up great over time when making an eye glass case. I started making mine like 10 years ago. They have all held up and so have the ones for family and friends. Hot glue on cloth stands the rest of time.
@@zxception
Either way, I agree and would rather use needle and thread, personally.
You all can hot glue if ya want though...its a free country, ....sort of.
🍃🤗🍃
She used fabric glue for the pot holder, it can be used with heat.
What a waste of resources
Yeah, hot glue on a potholder put on a hot cast iron pan ... umm ...
these are great ideas! so creative ♡ thankyou for the video and to all those involved in making it 😀 much happiness to you all
All of these ideas are so useful and adorable..😄
Naw…too cheap looking.
Repurposing used items would be a much better idea than going out and buying new items.
People are actually spending money to make what looks like it came out of the trash??????? When people are struggling to keep their families housed and fed things like these trinkets need to be cast aside . Just my opinion and if you don't like it, oh well!!!!!
I agree, most of these weren't worth the time and money to make. They all looked very cheap🙄
I'm 62 years old. We have been giving these as gifts since I was a child. We did it different, we embroidered a picture on our potholders to personalize them. This was a big job for a 5 year old. It gave me great pride in giving this gift. Happy new year.
These are adorable and useful crafts...wish would list the products that were not from dollar tree like the items from Amazon.
Good idea, except I've priced all items & by the time you purchase it all,you can buy a ready made towel
Agree
I love these suggestions. They are so amazing. Great job!!!!!
Love the stone boot holder and the pink scalloped gold mirror ❤️
I love all ideas with potholders, as they would make great gifts for teachers.
Really creative ideas, but the purse idea just seems like a bad idea to have your ID and money literally held together by glue and a pot holder.
Nice ideas.. HOWEVER THE MUSIC IS WAY TOO LOUD!!!
How much more junk can we buy at the dollar store??
Great useful ideas that I can use , thank you , You are a genius 👍👏👏👏👏👏
The pizza pan - wall decoration hack with the strings - gets cheaper if you do not buy pizza pan but use whate cardboard instead - then you can more easily glue on the wool, too.
I USE PLACEMATS TO MAKE PURSES
These are awesome and I really enjoy rewatching as I have seen many of these several times! Could we please get some NEW DIYs? Thank you
Helpful hints.
Good ideas - but more sew instead of glue!
I just started beading, now I have to start crafting from the Dollar tree!! Thank you so much for your ideas 🌟
I tried to make the Lazy Susan with the two cake pans and marbles, but it was very wonky. I was very disappointed. ☹️
I love all these ideas! Thanks for sharing!😊😊
One could use those pot holders for your cell phone, while it is off of course.
Just get two to fit n use hot glue..
Some of that stuff just looks cheap but lots of it are such great ideas
I’ve been making eyeglass holders out of pot holders for YEARS … like 10. But I do like the towel idea.
Esp loved the pot holder hacks
You'd have to stitch the cast iron pan handle holder or the hot glue would melt over time.
Definitely
She didn't use hot glue on those. She used fabric glue.
Very creative ideas! I prefer sewing after tacking with hot glue.
Gluing fabric.... geeez 😪
Awesome ideas! ❤️
Lots of great ideas. I'd sew them, but hot glue works.
❤️❤️🎉🎉 LOVE ALL THESE IDEALS. U R SO CREATIVE.
Me vuelvo loca viendo estos vídeos ,quiero hacerlo todo 😅😅
Please, can I really make a pot holder purse? Lol
Amazing how creative and talented you are and with just everyday things you find in dollar tree.
I am a craft-loving person, and you guy’s never cease to amaze me!…Love everything!😊
So creative! I especially loved the marbles-lazy-Susan idea. Simple, inexpensive, and easy to make. I’ve often wanted one for the holiday season table. Thanks for sharing. ✌🏼
The marble lazy Susan has been around for years.
If you don’t like the way she does it use her idea and put your own spin on it. Don’t be a hater. I love her ideas. Keep up the good work.
yes, but she shouldn't advertise it as potholder stuff when the majority of it is NOT!!
Most of these ideas are a bit "tacky," but the pot holder for the pan handle, was a good idea!
Any ideas on storage or display for a childs stuff toy collection ?
You could use some hammocks in the corners of the room kind of in a tier formation like 2 or 3, then place your stuff animals in them. I hope this helps.
These are amazing, would make some awesome bits and pieces for my girls play kitchen as well as my grown up kitchen lol thanks for the ideas 😁
These are great!!!
So hopefully the original creators got paid from these stolen clips
Enjoyed this video. While I have seen several of these diys before, I didn't mind seeing them again to remind me how to do them! I agree - I think I'd sew some of the fabric crafts just to be sure they'll hold.
I thought these were Dollar store hacks? Some of the stuff you’re using obviously didn’t come from a dollar store. Some came from Amazon and who knows where else.
Awesome ideas....many which are a cure for my present kitchen ills
I love these! But those cow bells are expensive… where did you get them?
Watch, there will be someone who will do the pot handle one and then drop a hot pot and then try to sue someone.
Just love all projects done.
Dollar tree 🌴🎄,. Here I come,. They have alot of these potholders!! Great 👍 idea 💕 && washable tooo
So munch clever ideas . Love it ! 🥰
Use e6000 and glue gun for shelves.
Most of these are beautiful! Some really good tips in here. Just don’t use hot glue on anything that is going to be exposed to heat (like the cover to hold that hot pan) and don’t use hot glue on anything that you might want to put in the dryer (I learned this the hard way). Good ideas in this one, Hometalk!
I am hoping to buy my first house in the next few weeks and stored in my brain and written in my idea book are many ideas from this channel. I have the same salt and pepper towel but, it now looks so bland on my towel bar. I have made hundreds of potholders from fabric and they have sold quite nicely as pairs at craft sales but, I bet these already made pot holders repurposed would be a hit. I said Tommy boyfriend weeks ago I wonder if anyone has ever made an eye glass case out of a pot holder, that was going to be a new craft idea, but then on this I see the wallet and I LOVE IT! I would embellish one corner of it too. I would like to see how the black purse was made too.
It's late at night and I worked a 11 hour day. Thanks for great ideas!
Great ideas! Thanks
Love all your crafts, but what do you do with that much srtuff after making tutorial and how much does it cost you ?????👍👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹🌹💫💫💫💫💫🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢🦢
These ideas are off the hook 🤗🤗🥰🥰, thank you I will be saving and sharing with my daughters 🤗.
Oh my goodness. These projects are wonderful and doable. Thanks. About to share.
Thank you to all the people who showed off their talent in make all these wonderful items in this video incredible and beautiful loved them all 🌹👍🏻🌹
Thank you for the great ideas. Very cute and very clever! I will be trying several.
This person is a wholesale consumer of glue
Great ideas…..however….. you had to know there was a buuuuttttt coming lol. The potholder for the cast-iron pan, GENIUS as those handles are easily $20! Here’s the buuuutttt…… E-6000, gorilla glue, crazy glue, fabric glue, glue gun. etc etc etc…..the ONLY thing that works for a cast-iron pan would be to sew the holder.
NONE of the aforementioned glues have EVER held up to heat that I know of🤷🏼♀️ so forgive me if I’m wrong, but I could only see sewing working for that one. Darn brilliant though because that is really all they are…. potholder a $20 potholder that’s been sewn!!! Absolutely brilliant!!
I’m shaking my head AT myself thinking how can I not have seen that? 🤦🏼♀️
Great ideas EXCEPT for using as a cover for the handle of a hot cooking utensil, which could easily slip from the cover and become a hazard for burns or other injuries.
Wow, what wonderful ideas, blows my mind honestly, incredible ideas. I love all of them , I love th e pot holder ideas, they are all wonderful. Thank you for sharing, I appreciate you.
Wow...keep at it.
Was reading through the comments, boy there is a lot of hateful people out there. I rewatched the video and I didn't even see much hot glue, screws, zip ties, E6000, fabric glue, hand tying. I'm sure it took way more time to make this video than the eight minutes it took to watch it. If you think something is not safe to make, don't make it. I appreciate all the great tips she shared.😀
Several nice ideas here. But,,,,,I question the use of some of the glues used like others here mention. Sewing would have been much better and long lasting. Fabric glues are really only meant to be a temporary hold until sewing is done. It will not hold up to a lot of wear and tear, washing or drying. Many glues for crafting are not meant to hold up forever. Weather conditions like, heat, cold, sun, wind, age, all play a part of the different things that can affect how well the many things that (including the components) hold the craft together.
some great ideas. From over the pond England
Has anyone ever used the potholders for hot pans/pots? Beautiful colors, but they seem thin. After seeing this and the eyeglass case hack, I will be picking up several colors. I will probably sew them together and maybe even experiment with embroidering an initial.
I would definitely get a better quality pot holder for any ideas like the skillet handle. The Dollar tree pot holders are way too thin and can't handle the heat.
So how much of this will just end up in the landfill in short order??
I made the last one - pizza pan macrame yarn and shower rings a few years ago. My cats LOVE it as a bed on my sofa ottoman. (One is sleeping in it now) So much for a decorative tray ?!
Good ideas!
I can't tell how many of these cheap looking items from cheap materials I have seen donated to thrift stores...nobody buys them and they end up in the landfill.
Well.. she must b doing something right she has 1.4M subscribers😂God bless those who try.
Creative but dangerous in a lot of cases here. Hot glue will not stand up against heat and force and movement. Almost everything with the potholders would have to be sewn to work.
Please slow down and describe items you're using for those of us who are craft challenged 😊
Thanks
Nearly all this stuff is junk.Sorry, but I wouldn't have it in my house.
I don't like glue on fabric. Does it hold up when you wash the stuff? Why not use sewing?
❤❤❤
It doesn’t look like they’re using hot glue on the pot holder for the iron skillet. It looks like it was a fabric glue which doesn’t melt after it dries.
Im not able to sew (dexterity issues) Any other suggestions instead of using hot glue? Love the ideas here.
Genius⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Was looking for pot holder crafts - got less than a minute - shame on you! Disappointing.
Love these ideas! ❤
0:33 What the heck is this iron looking thing?
Seriously inspiring! I love crafting but I've got standards! Cannot require more than 4 steps, 4 ingredients (preferably on hand) and less than 3 hours to complete!
Most of these featured projects will be attempted.
NEXT!
Some of the items you are making are already only a dollar. Like the eye glasses case for instance.
I still haven't got the 1st potholder made on a kitchen towel. Can u print the instructions for it
Great ideas !!!!!!!!!! I had only seen maybe one of these before. Can you slow down your video presentation please. 👍👍🙂🙂
People have been doing this for 40 years or crocheting the same idea
I saw nothing about a potholder after watching whole video.
