Had that same one .....ported polished. . pistons,,carbs ...pipes...ran race gas...then I put 250 emblems on it..then the fun begain..every body what to race...eat up everything on the street
When I was 13 years old in 1975 living in Greenbelt, Maryland I had a neighbor who had a Kawasaki 750 and I believe that was his only means of transportation.
I understand, If I did this bike myself I would have done it differently. But as mentioned the owner who built it purposely changed a few cosmetic details for his own personal taste and as for the rust I can't say other than maybe it wasn't in his budget at the time or was still on a list of things to do.
So many people do that stuff to them that it makes a correct original really rare. Keeping it original is classy. What you are suggestion is low brow and common.
@@jlrutube1312 I'd sooner buy a modified H2 rather than any one of them in original condition, additionally I would upgrade the frame, suspension and brakes.
Get the seat recovered and find an airbox! If that engine isn’t jetted for the pod filters you’ll get to rebuild it again real soon. And stop getting it wet! Awesome machine, have owned many.
Thanks for the heads up. Fortunately, I did not ride the bike on that particular day. However you're right; and that is something we encourage everyone to check as part of routine maintenance.
It's better than most of those that were made back then because most of them no longer exist, or if they do, they don't run. You could take this and make it almost perfect with a little work. If the price isn't too high then it would be a great buy.
Poor restoration, scraped pipes, torn seat cover, purple looks wrong shade, rusty wheels, video done with rain drops all over to cover other imperfections. Depends on what you call restored i suppose.
I have the original set of rear shocks off my H2C. There was no top cowl or reflector. Handle bars and grips are not original. The original paint was a metal flake . Chain oiler missing .Enjoy the ride.
Sir I hate to tell you this, but did you notice all that SMOKE? What does the Canadian air quality control have to say about that? And the engine sounds like its about to come apart. I think you better have a mechanic from the U.S. or better yet, JAPAN take a long hard look at this sickle.
Thanks for noticing all of the things that make these monster 2 strokes so awesome! We've got some good mechanics up here when they're not busy building metric scaled igloos to keep warm from our 13month long winters or drinking our FAR superior beer. :)
,cold two strokes rattle.... the bike is cold, metal hasnt expanded to opintumum tollerence, if there was no smoke after start up , probably has no oil. and ps climate control is a scam to get your bucks. Rev it up dude and f... em.
I have one of these. I have owned the triples on and off since 1978. The smoke is a welcome sign that the engine is being oiled. The oiling system is total loss, what goes in and lubricates comes out of the exhaust. Think chainsaw. The engine is air cooled and has no sound dampening whatsoever. What you hear is every metallic nuance of rings, piston slap, combustion, small-end clearance, big-end clearances and sonic shocks as the ports are swept. Normal. This machine is 1975 frozen in time. The design is 1969. It is design history in the raw, red in tooth and claw.
She’s running great. 45 years old beauty. Great information too. Thanks
Beautiful, this colour scheme is the best.
What a great looking bike !
Beautiful bike. And I would Love to own it . ( Too expensive though 😄 )
Beautiful
Colour.
Beautiful 😊
Amazing 😊
ペイントの調色が素晴らしい🎉

Fastest 250 around I bet haha Thanks for sharing..great story
Gorgeous 👌👍😁
A honest to GOODNESS ... "PURPLE PEOPLE EATER". Holy jesus ...! Holy Jesus" ...!
God I wish they would make these again. I had the 450 version but 2 stroke, and still have a dent in my forehead from the tach!
It would be really interesting to see what a modern 2 stroke superbike would be like if manufacturers kept up with development.
KH400
People ragging on the resto, when the bike obviously gets ridden... i wish i could find one of these someday
what a machine, I had the S1 250
Wow, great display and explanation. Thank you and this video got me to like & subscribe
Thanks so much for the kind words!! I've got plenty of videos planned so please stay tuned for more awesome motorcycle content.

Not a bad way of getting around town..especially back in '75
Very good work 😇 Additional ist would have been very nice, to hear the motor running 👂🏻😃👍
I start the bike at the end of the video
Bel-Ray Si7 oil made my H2 virtually smokeless. Pistons and rings always looked new and ring groove carbon deposits disappeared.
Thanks for the tip
hi pete if its been restored why are there rusty parts on it and the front caliper unpainted?? seems a bit silly not doing the small stuff,
I understand, If I did this bike myself I would have done it differently. But as mentioned the owner who built it purposely changed a few cosmetic details for his own personal taste and as for the rust I can't say other than maybe it wasn't in his budget at the time or was still on a list of things to do.
sounds ace
This isn't a review. It's a sales video.... maybe not literally, but that's what you made.
Is it for sale?
I am sorry. This bike is not available
Got one myself
Needs work?
But it's 👍
It's not perfect, but as mentioned the guy built it to how he wanted it and I doubt there is any enthusiast who would say no to it :)
It calls out for clip ons, rear sets and expansion chambers, not forgetting the obligatory white rickman fairing.

@@darkknight1340 yes, that makes sense. I guess it's just different strokes for different folks. Have a great day.
According to Mr Kawasaki vin can be within 200 to be considered a match
Correct, everyone has a slightly different scale but there's a good chance if it's within that range it's an original "matching" bike
If that is fully restored, the bloke that did it must have been blind...
Let's call it rebuilt then. As mentioned it's not restored to original spec and everyone works within their own means.
Get the seat recovered and find an airbox! If that engine isn’t jetted for the pod filters you’ll get to rebuild it again real soon. And stop getting it wet! Awesome machine, have owned many.
Dreambikes
Thanks!
Everyone was buying 4 strokes in 75 like me. 900
The 900 definitely took over from the H2
Rear tire needs air

Imho ,I have always thought this is the most beautiful motorcycle ever made .Btw this is a shiity example.

Well it still may be a great buy.... it just depends on what the asking price is....

Tank decals not good
There are a few things not "perfect" on this bike for sure. The placement of the tail decals really gets me. What did you notice with the tank decals?
Pitting on rear rim .
Not 100% as the airbox has been removed
Good eye. There are MANY things not "original " on this bike which is why mentioned the owner making it his own.
