Awesome video, would love to see more like this! I always loved the TCG and tried GLC a while ago and it is incredibly fun! Sadly, I stopped during the Sun and Moon era so I'm lacking a lot of stuff! Still, what an awesome format you gave the community!
On another note - I'm a smaller creator from the other side of Pokémon (the games/nerd-ier stuff) and I was watching your set review on Twitch and I wanna thank you. You were talking about how you were struggling with what type of content direction to take and I've been dealing witht the same. Seeing someone with more experience dealing with the same thing kinda gave me motivation to not give up as well as direction (video essays do sound like a good thing lately). So, just wanted to say that! Hopefully this one does well and you've found a direction that you like!

I might visit Full Grip in person sometime! I'm only like 3 hours away, and I've been interested in GLC. I don't think I have a lot of necessary old cards, like the old supporters, but I'll figure out a way to get them! 😂

This is a super fun idea and one that I would love to do myself. I am WAY too far to come to you all there, but I might try and wrangle up a league of sorts here. We've had a decent number of people jamming some GLC games on the sidelines of our weekly Standard leagues, maybe that can expand.

It’s very clearly based on MTG’s commander, and would benefit a lot from being even more similar with some tweaks.

I would love to watch a full ongoing series of this, there's not enough such content available! GLC seems really refreshing, shame it hasn't caught on in Australia yet. I hope GLC will go worldwide soon, like Commander/EDH did for Magic.

In all seriousness, sounds like your round 2 opponent had his priorities all sorted out, so we don’t need to keep joking about your top 4 placement being fraudulent. If it really doesn’t sit well with your conscience, maybe you could scoop next time your opponent has to rush off, but don’t worry about it otherwise.

I finally joined my first pokemon league after watching this video! Can't wait to see you hopefully do more of this content in the future. It is kinda difficult tho for me as I have not played competitively since the days of yveltal ex so i have to borrow decks a lot of the time. Thankfully I still have my 2 GLC decks that I played against you on stream like almost 2 years ago. Being, the Ice type one and the dark poison one. And the guy who set up the league has some glc so it is much fun.

The GLC community is small-ish in KC MO/KS, and I'm not sure if we do a badge thing, but I definitely want to collect them.

Great video! Is it ok to play multiple types of basic energy? I’ve seen some organisers say you can only play one type of basic energy in GLC
You can play whatever basic energy you want in your deck, if you couldn’t, then dragon and colorless wouldn’t be able to play any basic energy!
