Welcome to Japan! This is a great video! I enjoyed it very much. As for my recommendation, Yakiniku (Japanese Korean barbecue) is the best! Hot pots and oden are the best way to recover from the humidity and crowds of Tokyo. Gentle soup is the best! The theory is to drink it with beer or highball (scotch and soda)! If you feel cold, drink hot sake to warm up your body! Nights are still cold, love yourself.
Thank you so much!! We are loving it🇯🇵 we are super excited to try hot sake and highball, and of course tons of Japanese food. Thank you for your great recommendations :)
Welcome to Japan! I'm glad you two are having fun so far. The green sushi Jacob had is not a jalapeño, it's an okra, a vegetable originally from Africa and has a lot of fibers and β-carotene. Like you said, Kura-zushi is fun to eat at, but it's low end restaurant, so if you want to eat at conveyor belt sushi, I recommend Choshimaru or Gatten-zushi. They provide fresh and good quality food at reasonable price. It will soon be a rainy season in Japan. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of your trip!
I'm japanese and I live in a rural area of Japan (called Kyushu), not even in the mainland where Tokyo is located. I only knew the image of Tokyo through the media, but when I actually went there, it was quite different from the image I had, and my first impression was that it was a clean city. It was calm but lively. I was also surprised that prices were cheaper than in the countryside, probably because there are so many options. I had assumed that the air in Tokyo would be polluted, so I was surprised to find that the sky in Tokyo was actually blue and the air felt clean.
Tokyo Skytree is one of the tallest buildings in the world. I would really love to go up there, even though I'm terrified of heights haha😆 You guys are so adventurous and gracious, and you sure did have a fun time in Japan.♥♥
Hahaha it would be pretty scary to go all the way up there!! We aren't big fans of heights either 🤣 thank you so much for your kind words and for watching ♥️
We've seen Costa Coffee coffee shops, but never seen that coffee in a bottle. Not even at a market. The traditional dresses are so cute. They make you WORK for the sushi. Great shot Jacob!
If you are currently staying near Asakusa, it would be a good idea to stop by Kuramae. If Asakusa is a traditional place, Kuramae is becoming the coolest place in Tokyo.
It was so fun!! It was called kura sushi, it is a chain, they might have one in close to the airport?? Have a great trip☺️ thanks so much for watching!!
@@JacobandJennyTravel Yes, they can be used to ride buses and buy food at convince stores too! Just don't forget to return them when leaving Japan, 'cause they'll give you 500yen back that you paid at first. You can purchase SUICA at JR stations, and PASMO at other metros.
Thank you that feel good atmosfere of Great River Sumida of culture. Because many base of culture were born in Edo and Tokyo around this special River. Always this place was glow up and live many idea creativity and traditional culture and many sacrifizio di history. Please enjoy Good and beautiful Travel!
Nai Man checking in with you here... I was born in Tokyo, Japan, on May 3, 1952, on the very day that the American post-war military occupation of Japan ended and the modern constitution of Japan went into effect. My dad went out for a light dinner of sushi, and when he came back a half an hour later, I had been born. Of course, Tokyo has changed a lot since I was there - I was last in Japan at the end of 1980, and have not been back since.
Wow your dad has quite the shock waiting for him when he got home from dinner hahaha!! Tokyo is such a cool place, how awesome to be born there!! Thanks for watching friend :) we love your comments!
@@JacobandJennyTravel With Bucharest, Romania I told you that it was a whole different world in those days - basically, I told my life in the US to take a hike, and just totally immersed myself in Romania, and Romanian, and my Romanian friends. It's almost like a few grand would last you a few years in Romania back in those days. But with Tokyo, Japan, the change that I have witnessed has been even greater, because a much greater period of time has elapsed. Sooo many things change, because the investors and developers come in and change things in the city, to the point where you can hardly recognize it, but interestingly enough, some things stay the same, and never change. Just a few wistful and nostalgic recollections from a long life lived - I'm in my early seventies now. When you're young, like you are, you study history, and maybe it serves you well, and you learn a lot from it, but when you get to be my age,,you've actually lived history - and that's something totally different.
Beautiful couple. All the best. I really wish I could travel more often and go out to new places. It would mean the world to me if I get to travel all the time and go wherever I want to visit. I am 26, stuck in my parents house almost the whole day. I go to therapy twice a week, so depressing. I just want to live and do what makes me happy like traveling all the time. I wish you a life full of joy, positivity, and peace. I hope you want all the same for me :)
We will be sending prayers and love your way. We hope that some day you will be able to do what makes you happy and fills your soul. We know that you will get there. Thank you for watching friend :)

Hello,🐦🐦🐦 May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
