Please, post as much as you can. I first saw your videos, I believe 13-15 years ago after dropping out of Hight school. I’ve been in the industry ever since. Make good money but have a hard time finding info on how to scale passed the 7 figure mark.
We started invoicing and running cards the day after service last year. It's been great for cash flow. There was some push back at first but all good now.
Already subscribed looking for content to help with becoming wise been praying for wisdom Would be Grate to see Mike Andes & you do something together seems there would be a lot of value & you guys helping each other
@@fibermax111 Thanks for the feedback. I plan to do exactly that. I've not figured out the balance of advanced content vs smaller business content yet. I've not created any advanced content yet, but I will. Are you imagining these videos are sorted into playlists, or are you picturing an indicator on the video telling you who the content is intended for?
Yes and no. Depends on the market. For us, the wind-down of mowing & start of Christmas lights match up well. But we use a bunch of H2B Visa team members, and they go home. It's usually mowing team members or sometimes irrigators that get freed up around that time. Lots of friends use mowing crews for lights and it works well.
Awesome! I wish more people understood this. I talk to owners everyday that do all the admin stuff themself. Just makes no sense, hire an admin as fast as you can IMO
Agree. I'll add that many owners hate doing the admin stuff, so it gets neglected, and balls get dropped. Which is an argument for hiring this role faster.
Generally no. I recommend building out 1 full crew first. But, if you can find a good contract person to do 10 hours per week of office work for you, that's not a bad idea. I would not hire a full-time office person if you don't have a full crew. Focus on getting more team members in the field so you can make more money faster.
Man! This is exactly where I’m at. I have someone part time. That person is my wife. I need to raise prices so she gets paid. Also I need to be more strict on myself on delegating task with the guys.
Delegating is one of the hardest skills to develop. If I could rewind my business career, it's one of the top things I wish I was better at faster. It's the unlock to getting where you want to go faster.
Thank you so much for the great content. Can't wait to see this on the podcast feed 😀
You're welcome. I'm delaying the podcast. Working on a different concept. Guessing it will go live later this year.
Enjoy watching on youtube but I would also enjoy a podcast.

I plan to. Starting after Thanksgiving I will pick up the pace. Plan to release 3 videos per week until that time.
We bill in advance, and it’s been super beneficial
👍

Fantastic. It's a game-changer. It will make growing the business vastly easier in the long term.

Thank you. I'll keep making content... hope it's what you need.
Mike and I have known each other for a long time.
JP. Suggestion. Perhaps categorize these based on company size? $0-500k, $500-$1m, $1m-$2m, 2-5, etc. keep em coming! Thank you. 👍🏻
Everything applies to all levels. But the challenges are different and your take on them is much appreciated.

@@5ForFifty both would be cool. Perhaps in the title I was thinking. It would certainly increase anxiety to watch in title. 😁😆
Are Christmas lights the cure to the pains of lawn care seasonality?

@@5ForFifty 100%. It’s funny (well maybe not funny). I have an admin and still drop the ball because I just won’t send the important details to her.
As a small operation, would you hire an admin before even one extra mowing hand? ... because I am tempted for insurance options if I can support it.
Generally no. I recommend building out 1 full crew first.
