- In the end of August me, Matti, was guiding 4 men in Sarek National Park on a hiking and wild camping adventure. We where dropped by Helicopter at the border of Sarek closed to Skierfe and start with hiking up on the top with it's spectacular view over the Rapadalen valley. Then spent 4 nights in the National Park. /Matti

We are Stina & Matti and we live in Northern Sweden in a small place called Jokkmokk. Except for making videos we also run a small company called JOKKMOKKGUIDERNA and the WORKING HUSKY KENNEL. We offer guided outdoor tours in Swedish Lapland all around the year. During the winter we mostly do sled dog tours and in the summertime, it’s hiking tours, wildlife safaris, canoe, and packraft trips. It’s an amazing area. I have just been there again and that video will come out during the next couple of weeks probably. That trip was very different… but still beautiful. ;-)

Hi Matti, enjoyed your film, getting ready for Sarek this year, a question, end of August/beginning of September how cold it can get?
The temperature can drop below 0C. …but the coldest experience will come if it’s raining several days without possibility to dry your stuff.

Måste bara som en liten besserwisser påpeka att älg på engelska är Moose, inte "elk". Det är två helt olika typer av djur
Elk på engelsk engelska. Moose på amerikansk engelska 😉.
With "elk" in American English being used for Cervus canadensis, the Wapiti. So not only two different animal species sometimes but also two different languages.
Kudos to that Swedish guy Carl von Linné who helped us through this a bit with his binary nomenclature.
