These guys are not at all one of my most loved bands, but i saw them live, they put on one of the best shows ive ever seen!!!! Dropkick Murphys are the shit.
When this came out, I remember buying it. Sophomore year. Playing the cd on my portable CD player. Headphones split between my friend and I. On the bus to a game. Damn.
there were three bands that made warp tour for me this year. Reel Big Fish, I wrestled a bear once(iwabo) and dropkick. I busted my jaw at rbf, had to deal with a crowd of screaming "Beiber fan" like girls right next to IWABO's stage but dropkick......i got to get point blank with the drummer who thought it would be nice to drum in the center of the crowd........think they deserve top spot in memories
One thing I still think is kinda cool about aughts-era rock music is bands who's style was basically "rock + pre-rock n' roll genre." Ska and Celtic punk, plus some of the more ambitious nu metal bands like Skindred (reggae metal) or Ill Nino (Latin metal).
Madre mía, llevaba buscando esta canción una barbaridad de tiempo, y por fin la encontré!!! Me la apunto para que no se me olvide el nombre ni de la banda ni de la canción.
this kinda stuff, (rancid, bad religion, nofx, dropkick murphys) is the sorta "popular" punk music, which is good, but i was always more into the anarcho side of things, like crass and conflict. It's such a difference between the two, which proves that punk is more than just a genre, it's a mindset. It's spanned so many different musical styles now, which is just brilliant... :')
I remember listening to "Do or die" on the way to seeing them play in Providence, RI....back when Mike was still in the band...Street Dogs never did it for me! Not saying Al Barr wasn't a good choice though, the Bruisers are legendary!
Could abyone help me with this please? The video begins with a character waking up in a stranger's house alongside a woman in disguise. He, in the first-person perspective, vomits on the bed and leaves to go home, where he receives money from a person disguised as his mother. He then fantasizes about his favorite band in a forest before heading to a bar where he drinks excessively. From there, he goes to a concert, pressing a DJ console. Finally, he returns to the same house he woke up in, but now there are two women in disguise. The song in the video includes the phrase 'I wanna be free.' The band is an Irish rock punk or similar does anybody knows the band and song name and can tell me please? thanks in advance.
It slike a crossbetween The Pogues ( not a fan myself ) and oi ( which I like ) , I saw these support Sex Pistols at Crystal Palace in '02 - they were the best band on the day by far .
Barr you are always the man, but Mike's booming voice haunts me!
If you were ever East Coast, East Coast blood never leaves you, pop brought me out! Very smart man I must add!
Man, this song just makes me feel good about everything. Dropkicks Rock!!!

This song deserves more than a million views 🎉❤
I agree! People must be doing the 'Thorazine Shuffle' themselves not to give it a view!
@@DerekEno-e1k Geodon daze makes this song sound awesome LOL
Amazing band

Even though im from this area I love the way Al says Cahds and Cigahs it never fails to make me smile
when he tries to talk like us? he's a poser and he cant sing.
I love how Tim Brennan smashes his accordion in the end while Marc Orrell jumps around and Matt Kelly just casually plays along.
It seems like you said their full names just to show off you know them
Is Marc the guitar player on the far left that does the solo?
@@jorgewilks1987 I usually say full names like that (well, majority of the time yes).
@@shanebrady5651 Yep.
@@shanebrady5651 You can recognize him because he's jumping around everywhere.
I love the rockabily influence in this song, I also love the 50s influence to the video
This song is great to start the day! 😄☀️

I have no idea what this song is about but I love it.
Hell yea to be sure homeboy!!!!!!
Still bangin in 2018
@1988JeanPaul im pretty sure the song is about drinking when they say sunshine highway it means to get hammered
Any punk song that a) has accordion in it and b) ends with the accordion being ripped in half and thrown to the ground is clearly badass.
That’s not an Accordion
@Jay9928
If and when they come to Serbia....I am there !
@Jay9928 oh same here dude! no shows this year tho....

Bahahah anyone else notice that Dropkick is missing the "i"?
Nope, never notced!
Dropkick Murphys Forever!
Guten songen
GOD BLESS US !! The IRISH !!! WE RULE
There's no "I" in Dropkick in the title.
Because there's no I in team
Phil Riley but there is an I in pie. Meatpie and meat is an anagram for team or something.
@Jay9928 too right man im tired of these "artist" who have a dj do the work while he just rymes quikly
the only band EVER to guitar-smash a acordian.
Кайфуха! Привет from Russia)
