Thank you mate! It was pretty good this year. We definitely didn't make the most of it but a LOT of good bikes there. Nice amount of show jumping etc too
As an ex owner of a 2021 GT, I was very exiting about seeing the new one in the flesh. It was a bit of a shock when looking at it head on. Like you say, a bit like it's hit a wall and 'splatted' out. However, the old one had a face only a mother could love too. From every other angle, it looks awesome. The SAS looked very much like my 2023 one with new fairings, dash and headlight. Not enough of an update I feel to change. I hope my KTM dealer doesn't have a new GT in to test ride when I take my SAS in for it's service in April or this could get very expensive 🤣
Haha yeah you're right! It does seem to tick every box. Got a lot of appreciation for the looks of it but it will take a while to get used to like most of these new bikes. It could definitely be a new addition to the garage
Just got back from Birmingham tonight, and I'm very moist after sitting on the standard S model! Although my S22 ultra doesn't fit in the cubby hole. Would definitely spec the radar CC, very happy to hear the pricing. Weirdly prefer the plastic luggage over the metal boxes.
Haha it's nice isn't it?! Ahh really? Do you have a case on it? My S24 Ultra fits easily but no case. There is a slot which is slightly deeper which I noticed
It looks a little more spacious than the SDR with a really nice amount of padding. I'm far from a tall guy but I know many taller people chose the SDR over the Tuono etc because it gave them the space for their legs so hopefully you'll be in luck
@jamescurrie1285 Rough aimed figure was in the mid-18k range. Not sure about autobox though. Prices aren't confirmed at all yet but what KTM are aiming for
I think equivalent crank BHP would be around 171-172 on my mapped KTM, so this would be just above mine. Depends how good the new powertrain is, how that camshift effects it and what the % loss is
@SamVBikes u have mentioned the gt a lot recently. The sas evo looks really good though. I'm thinking u will go gt as u have the sas but not sure the gt has the same content following as the sdr and sas
Today was the closest I've been to going for the new SAS Evo. That phone port being big enough, lower foot pegs etc just made for such a nice change. Tried putting my phone in the Multistrada V4S port.. it fit but JUST and you wouldn't be able to charge it in there. So I reckon maybe SDR next year then a new SAS down the line
@SamVBikes need to get the monkey finished up haha. Sounds like a plan mate. I was gonna come down to the show next weekend but I'll probably give it a miss.
@ from the suburbs of NY into NYC, having commuted in both cities I can tell you NY is totally wild compared to London and a harder commute also filtering is not legal not that I care but cars try to close the gaps even in static traffic
Seen you there yesterday at the roadskin stand. Was a good day.
Ahh having a good old chat with Mark about our Ducati 916 woes 😂
Nicely done Sam, very professional overview. I'm going tomorrow so will be having a good look around 👍

Awesome! Hope the 2025 1390 Evo S AMT makes it to USA next year.
It's definitely a great bit of kit. I'm more tempted now than I was this morning haha
Cheers for the video. I’m going Tuesday, that GT is on my radar! Might spend some time looking at that myself.
It's a shame you can't sit on these two but you can get more than close enough!
@ I reckon I could sneak in and have a seat. I’ll just Sam from UA-cam said I could ! 🤣🤣🤣
Blame Mark from Leeds 😂😂
@@SamVBikes in all honesty I wouldn’t be so disrespectful. But however i will take your advice on board 🤣🤣🤣
Over the course of the week... just hear different representatives from each brand shouting "arrghhh that f&%king Mark from Leeds again!!!"

Good on ya Joe!! 👍

I can't wait to see a test ride. The giggle factor should tell if it's good or not.
I have a feeling... I won't be able to use ANY footage 😂😂 it will all just be one big blur
I like the evo, gt
That GT has my interest as well. I'm a tall prick, so I'm a little concerned as to whether it would accommodate from large frame.

Did you get an indication on price for the GT and it be specd with the Auto box

Thanks Sam was there a 1390 Adv R there
Saw a fleeting view of one at the Italian Show 🤷♂️
@jamescurrie1285 no there wasn't unfortunately! Just the S and S Evo. Looking forward to seeing it in person
Looks like I ended up on the cutting room floor 😊
Don't worry sugar plum! You're in the main one!
@ aww bless you pal😊
Does the AMT stop working after first 1500km?
😂 no but the wheels do
13hp up over current, 6-7hp over the remap?

New GT isn't available in the US until 2026 unfortunately. But, it's on my list.
Such a shame it's that far away! It was definitely a stand out bike for me.. Just soo nice
@@SamVBikes Aye, be keen to see what your thoughts are in the meantime if you get a demo.
I've put my name on the press list for ASAP haha
New bike incoming for Sam 😂
Mate... I'm VERY close to putting money down but which one!

Haha yeah that's still sat in the lounge looking at me 😂
ugh it's too big for filtering past congested traffic, I have a Desert X but want a similar size bike but more power
Filtering in London isn't awful on my 1290 so I'd assume this wouldn't be any worse, but a smaller bike would be easier
@ from the suburbs of NY into NYC, having commuted in both cities I can tell you NY is totally wild compared to London and a harder commute also filtering is not legal not that I care but cars try to close the gaps even in static traffic
Jeez that's shaky 😂
Your great camera work 😂
@@SamVBikes I'd employ someone else to do it next time if I were you
Happy i didn't pay you really 😂😂
@Joesleggett very😅
the road test will be nothing but laughing in the helmet
😂😂
