Since the Houdini team knows that the node parameters are on the right side of the screen, it would have been cool to move the video feed to the left side, where it seems it would not have have a big part of the viewport.
VERY bad placement of the window with the guy's face. It's covering like 50% of the parameters! Why didn't you place it in the BOTTOM LEFT corner, where the geometry spreadsheet is? Don't nobody care about no geometry spreadsheet! 😠 Since he's not moving around that much, his overall shape on the screen could have been in portrait mode, not landscape mode. Like how GDC does.
@@JohnLogostini zBrush is a sculpting program. I don't know what a ZBursh is.. Also it's a joke, because he made a typo in the slide and then I was being sarcastic.
Mind blowing presentation, thanks for showing your nodes and thought process so clearly, with just a few nodes one can save weeks of work!!
Great talk! I would suggest the speaker video to be moved as it's covering all the important parameters.
Thank you for sharing your workflow Ian.
Much love to the speaker for putting out so much detail in such a professional art pipeline!.
Great talk iansmithartist. Some nice tips about uv ing and optimising the low poly version rocks.
Some great advice here, makes me really want to try working this way myself.

I wish the parameters window wasn't censored, could have been a good tutorial...
Why rocks are not procedurally made in Houdini?
Because he is an artist and in zbrush he can play with shape language visual appearance etc
