I just have to say I was a full time motorcycle mechanic for years and this is the first time on YT I have seen someone pump the brake pistons out before disconnecting the lines, well done, it always wound me up watching people trying to use air lines or mole grips to get them out!
@@ASDasdSDsadASD-nc7lf You really aren't better off using vice grips, because if you are just servicing the caliper or it isn't stuck to bad you will be re-using the pistons and no matter how careful you are with vice grips you will mark the pistons leaving them scrap, where as if you pump it out with the hydraulic system that is there working, all you have to do is squeeze the brake lever and put no mechanical stress on the piston how would it be better using vice grips?

Wow, just WOW! For this one i HAD to leave a comment, you took the bike from looking scrapyard-ready, to MINTY fresh. You made a 28-Year-Old bike look ABSOLUTELY stunning. Love your work and dedication to this project and wish you the best.
Amazing restoration. Too many people "restore" dirt bikes and sell them, but this is not one of those. I bought my 2001 yz 125 for way more than i should have since the prices here in Canada are so inflated. The guy had restored it, powder coated the frame, fresh top end. The kickstart broke right away, the fins on the radiators were all mashed, and the engine blew up two weeks later. Learning experience.
What a labour of love. How much fun is it rebuilding things like this, putting a bit or anti-seize here and a bit of grease or Loctite there. Making sure it's perfect, better than factory. Cleaning everything 100% and knowing when you're on the bike that everything is literally perfect because you made sure of it.... A lot of people with never know the pure joy and calm that comes from projects like this. The world disappears and you just lock in on the build. It's a therapy, people never understand though.

There is way too much to say than can be summarised in a youtube comment but I have to say a few things. What you do with these bikes is nothing short of amazing.
