yeah. I heard the bird's song in Thailand but it was far away to not be disturbing. Koels recive so much negativity due to them screaming loudly next to the window. I didnt have that experience
Just moved to Malaysia, I wake up happy and feel like Im in some disney cartoon on days I hear this bird. When I don't hear it in the morning I feel a bit sad lol 😂
Some one who lacks sense can only call the sounds of koel a nuisance. Koel has inspired so many poets to write poems and the singers to sing in praise of their beloved. Koel is the most favourite bird for the sounds it makes.
They are not annoying to me im thankful to that bird cuz its my own alarm clock sadly because people cutting more trees there less asian koel and my beloved natural alarm clock is gone:(
Finally, I am able to match the voice with a bird, thanks to this video. 🙏 I am so grateful for this upload, as I had been trying to find out what this bird with loud voice looks like. I named it my beloved "Angry Bird". Once again, thank you so much for the upload. Also, it is wonderful to know so many people across Asia listening to the voice of this cute loud bird.🐦 Let us enjoy and appreciate what nature brings us. Greetings from Hong Kong. 😊
Beeeeeaaautiful birds. The shining black male with his bright red eyes and the camouflage brown and cream coloured patterns of the female (she's difficult to see in the dappled light of the tree canopy foliage) are welcome in my Aussie neighbourhood.🥰
Today, I actually saw this bird for the first time in almost 30 years of my life, even if all I could see was its silhouette because of the bright sky. It was a much happier feeling than it really should have been. 😁
Annoying? Their call is anything BUT annoying. I remember waking up to its call when i was a kid. There was a big mango tree right by my bedroom window and since i kept the windows open, i had my own natural alarm. Helped me to wake up early for studying. ❤❤
Other than the Koel, I remember there is also another bird call that I used to hear last time when I was still a primary school kid. It has a melodic call sound
In Thailand, this is called the Ka Wow,. My mother and grandmother used to sing a lullaby telling their story. The lyrics are in Thai, but the melody is Mon.
In Myanmar, we called in the "oat oar" because of the sound they make and you can hear them a lot in winter around wooded areas or simply at the national park. You can even hear them from far away. So far that I can hear it from my apartment. Weird right?
Thank you! I have for a long time been trying to find out what bird is making that wonderful soothing sound.👍 I dont like around the clock roosters. though.. 🖖
Honestly,i dont rlly hear this sound anymore. Maybe becuz i moved house and there are lesser trees around here. I used to live somewhere near a park. I lowkey miss this sound .__.
There's a tree just few meters away from my balcony and this SOAB always UWU in it. One fine early Morning, i tak boleh tahan, turned on my water hos and sprayed the tree...no more UWU. 🤗
They visit us(Sri Lanka) every april. Days of our national new year. Its the sound of the new year for us. We love the new year. So for us their sound is very welcoming and we long to hear it. We actually think its a beautiful sing. Funny how things are different for other countries.
Right. The Indian Koel (or Eastern Koel) is the harbinger of Spring in India. It has been praised in many pieces of Indian literature and songs for many generations. It is often compared with the Crow and children are told "See , both the Cuckoo (Koel) and the Crow look similar but be like the Koel - sweet , and not like the crow- harsh."
Can someone explain why they start off at 2 in the morning? Its currently 3 am and I can't sleep because of it and hence I searched for it so I can put a face to the sound! Update: neighbor is up with a strong flashlight and currently kicking tree! The worst way to start a Monday!
i actually never found this bird annoying, i found it refreshing and nostalgic,
i can even whistle the same like this bird too, which is kunda cool
I can make its exact sound but much louder, to extreme precision, unaided.
When I visited SriLanka I remember that sound, I found it very relaxing
yeah. I heard the bird's song in Thailand but it was far away to not be disturbing. Koels recive so much negativity due to them screaming loudly next to the window. I didnt have that experience
When I heard this bird at night or afternoon i got frightened because the old folks said the bird saw the dead thats why he's crying. 😂

The phrase "There's a bird silently helping us with that" is extremely ironic

Yeah. If you have to wake up at 6am and it starts at 4am roght next to your window. Trust me all your nostalgia will leave you.
@@Sonofserbia I will never have to wake up at 6 am on the regular in Thailand! 🤣😂 No chance!

There's a pair that appear to live in my garden. So annoying. Hi, from Malaysia.
Beeeeeaaautiful birds. The shining black male with his bright red eyes and the camouflage brown and cream coloured patterns of the female (she's difficult to see in the dappled light of the tree canopy foliage) are welcome in my Aussie neighbourhood.🥰

I am actually so happy to find the name of this bird, when I wake up everyday for kindergarten, it's the one that greets me
So many years, have been wondering which birdy wakes me up even before 6am. 🤔Came here frm mothership facebook post. 😅🤗

OK this is very underrated
Bastard bird....destroy other eggs and sneak in theirs....
Well beb, at least they reduced or controlled the scavenger of crow populations.
I love crows, they are goddamn cute
Owh, so this is the bird that I've been talking with all this time...
How cunning and clever birds, that can fool a crow and let their babies to hatch in crow's nest 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
On the contrary I think the sound they make is nice
Totally... and the music on this video is crass.
