His videos have gotten tedious. 1500 videos all end the same. Spoiler alert! Another crappy lock is open...buy my stuff. Why not show us a good lock? One that's interesting or puts up a fight.
Saskatchewan here and it seems like I have no choice. I can not find lock picks anywhere. Not even amazon. Like there is a see-through lock "kit" for 22 bucks but that is it and it has bad reviews like "don't waste your money" and someone els said they only got the lock and no picks. I looked at the info on the item and it really didn't say you were getting the picks anywhere on the page lol but they had a pic of picks and a lock, so people assumed which is normal I guess but like is it illegal or something to buy lockpicks in canada or Saskatchewan or something? I feel like I am missing something.
On a review of some CI tools I commented saying I thought a Covert Companion with only the turning tools and the Riv Pick would make a neat little package. Lo and behold, that's now a thing!
I was waiting and very excited for this sale, but when trying to check out my order I suddenly couldn't ship to the Netherlands anymore, while I did a few months ago (when I bought the learn lockpicking bundle). Please would it be possible to re-enable shipping here? I would really love to buy more high-quality lockpicking gear from Covert Instruments!
Just last week I ordered the learn lock picking bundle, I obviously would have waited had I known I could get it cheaper and with bonus stuff! I’ve emailed the website and hopefully I’ll be able to get the extra bits sent out to me
Here's something I'm wondering: Most of the lockpicking tools on Covert Instruments are built for standard pin tumbler locks--have you ever considered coming out with tools for picking other types of lock mechanisms as well? For example, I know the Echelon set has tubular lock picking tools and a dimple rake in it, but I'd also love to see CI make a dimple flag for single pin picking!
awesome, always waiting for your sales since shipment to GER gets quite pricey XD Was really hoping you guys create something like the Slim Pickings. Just needed the picks since the covert companion just still is to much for my level. Will wait for the echelon set to appear in one of the next sales :)
Thank you for all the videos you've made and I hope you make more. Unfortunately you no longer ship to the Netherlands. I have already ordered 4 times without any problems.

@@rjtimmerman2861 I did send a message to Covert Companion and they did removed the Netherlands because there were a lot of shippings that not get it to the Netherlands so they stopped shipping to us. 😢😭
I'd love to get one of the EDC swiss army style sets. But it's just way too expensive for me. I love LPL and want to get into picking again but I had to go with Sparrows when they offer full size rakes, picks, 6 different tensioners and practice see through locks for less than the covert companion cost.
I wish I had the funds to get some stuff. My grandpa was a locksmith, among other things, and I had his leather case of picks and tools years ago. Myself and some of my friends were getting into locks and picking, and I (perhaps foolishly) loaned my grandpa's picks and tools and some locks to a friend who wanted to learn, and I never got them back. Someday I'll get another set, and open all the old door locks in my grandpa's tool box.
The sale did wonders for me. Since I don't live in the US I have to pay an additional consumption tax at 25% which makes everything from Covert Companion a step above normal. Thank you!
If you're taking suggestions for next year: You don't seem to sell the dimple rake like you have in Echelon by itself (at least not with a handle)? I've been picking long enough I don't need another set, but I haven't gotten my hands on a dimple rake yet. You guys also don't seem to have a circlip removal tool? Would be nice to have this in your lineup IMO.
Ugh. Bought the Riv-Pick and CC Turning Tool Expansion and planned to buy the 'handle only' pack but it's hasn't been in stock for the weeks I have been waiting. Now you have exactly what I wanted (Slim Pickings) at a lower price with everything already loaded. Sheesh. P.S. The Slim Pickings doesn't seem to be in the SSF section with the rest of the Covert Companion offerings on your site
Which picks will fit by the wheels of a key box? I have a key box like the masterlock 4 wheel lock picked in a video years ago. I bought picks off amazon. They are too thick. I need something super thin to go by the number wheel to get it open. I forgot the combination and this is only way to get it open.
Finally got off my butt and ordered some stuff. Thank you for the sale! I hope my credit card doesn’t melt - being titanium should help, but it wont help my wallet. 😂
The Riv-Pick is not available anymore 😢. Since the shipping is so expansive to Germany it isn't worth to buy it later... So no Covert Companion for me this year 😢
Wanted the FNG for a while but wasn't worth it with the cost of the shipping (Not in the US) I got the Learn lockpicking bundle as well. Should get me started.
Ordered Genesis set, realized watching a master casually bust locks isn't actual education for a FNG, bought the FNG set, awaiting it's arrival, fully prepared to be dominated there as well. Is there an FNG intern set you could make? That'd probably occupy me for a few weeks.
damn i only need a decent reliable dimple rake but i'm in the uk and to buy one from covert instruments would cost $7 for the rake plus $20 delivery alone plus the import fee which would probably be another $20 😭😭 and amazon doesn't even have a crappy dimple rake...
I spent twenty six years in law enforcement. I learned to pick locks because there were times when I could legally and morally enter a location but didn’t want to cause damage that an innocent property owner would be forced to repair. For example, I responded to a “welfare check” in which an elderly, unresponsive woman was lying on the floor inside her house and was clearly in need of medical attention. I was able to look through a closed window and see her. I could have broken a window or kicked the front door open under an exigency exception to the Fourth Amendment. Taking a few seconds to pick the door locked saved the woman a substantial amount of money. I think I arrested two people in that time for possession of burglary tools where the burglary tools were lock picks. I might have investigated a dozen burglaries in that same time period in which I could not identify how a burglar had gained entry to a reportedly locked location. My general belief in those instances was that the property owner had probably left the property unlocked. In general, burglars either don’t learn to pick locks or don’t bother to do so. It is easier, cheaper, and often faster to pick up a rock and smash a window. Additionally, that rock doesn’t expose a burglar to an additional charge of possession of burglary tools. Ex-cons are often cognizant of these kinds of issues. I spent twenty-five years as a licensed attorney in California. As both an attorney and a cop, I was sometimes asked if possession of lock picks was illegal. In that time period, possession of lock picks was generally legal as long as they were not possessed with the intent to use them to commit a crime. I am retired now and the law might have changed. My general advice was that people should avoid possessing lock picks unless they had a legitimate and provable occupation that required the use of lock picks. A locksmith generally doesn’t have a problem persuading law enforcement that he uses his lock picks to open doors for people who have locked themselves out of their homes. I enjoy these videos but I often worry that hobbyists who purchase, own, or possess lock picks might be opening themselves to potential legal problems. It makes sense to research the law in your jurisdiction prior to buying lock picks.
Could we get a second sale, to prove its not a fluke
That's a good one my guy 😊
I see what you did there! ;)
Technically this is the second sale
He says right in the beginning
That’s fluking funny 🤓
This ad lasted longer than most of the locks on this channel have.
I agree 💯.
I use sponsorblock, this video took 0 seconds to watch as the whole clip is marked as an ad.

Just ordered the FNG. I've watched LPL for years I'm excited to try it out
I bought the FNG within a week of watching him, I am influenced too easily
Placed an order for the covert companion and expansion kit. Can’t wait to try it. Thanks for all the content!
Was going to pickup the Genesis and FNG, until I realized the shipping price to Canada was about the same price as both the products 😅
I ordered a couple smaller items from him, plus a bunch of other things; I feel your pain. 66 bucks was shipping for my last big order to Ontario.

Yeah, sadly it seems like getting Covert Instruments tools to places outside the United States makes them quite a bit more expensive :(
Oh man, it's the first time I've been able to get onto your site on deals-day and stuff is still available!!
Happy man in the UK now.
Thanks LPL.
Very cool thanks for sharing.
The Slim pickings set is an absolutely brilliant idea and the FNG seems like a great value for the price

Just picked up the Slim Pickins. Been looking for that sort of option since you announced Covert Instruments. Thanks LPL!!
Unlocking great deals 👍
He should pin this, lmao
Slim Pickings ordered. Looks like an excellent minimalist option. Just what I've been looking for.
this is great. thank you LPL!
Just ordered the Covert companion and all the extras. Good looks.
Just picked up some beginner stuff to play with. Can't wait to dive into learning more and actually trying it out myself.
Thanks for sharing this info.
Order completed! Long time viewer and I love your videos.
always loved your videos, bought the genesis and FNG to support you, keep it up man!
I get an alert of this post 5 days later by UA-cam. Thanks UA-cam for sending this to me after the sale is over
Thanks for the reminder! Put in my order.
Just ordered the Echelon Set! I wish it had been on sale, but I ordered it anyway because I wanted it in particular. As always, love your content!
Ty for the announcement, FYI I'm in UK I type in covert (for the first time) and your at the top.

That Slim Pickings is a good deal, especially if you want a minimalist CC, cuz then you can add into it later if you want
Thabk you guys for putting the Slim Pickings kit together!
@@Anoneemus_Noenayme it is literally described as coming with the handle

Good black Friday to ya
Just placed an order for Slim Pickings, CC for a mate and some other CC expansions. Fingers crossed it reaches the UK this side of christmas
I just got the email, sad to see the lock block isn’t on sale

Well, waiting on that to be delivered
Echelon is same price :( and the postage to Australia makes it even more unaffordable sadly

Not much into lockpicking stuff but that Skyrim LP skill tree thingy kept my eye longer than the others on the table.
I gotta get that tool that opens most retail store locks 😏🤭
Slim pickings is an excellent pun

Still not shipping to the Netherlands for some reason. Pretty annoying.
Any chance you will sell the Covert Companion fully assembled? I had a heck of a time putting mine together and would not consider adding to it.

do you make a pencil patch with that cool design
Damn, why did I have to pick to go on holiday over the sale period?

The Riv-Pick is not available anymore 😢. Since the shipping is so expansive to Germany it isn't worth to buy it later... So no Covert Companion for me this year 😢
Tools that are already the best deal on the market, at a discount? Sold.
Love to order. Must get someone else to do it for me. Don't want to get flagged, have implacable tools in possession.
