  • Today, I take the first deep dive through our 1975 C3 Corvette and discuss how we got it, where we're at, and what we'll need to do to get where we want to go.

I picked up a 77 Vette back in January. Doesn’t need quite as much attention as your Vette. Looking forward to seeing more videos.

Picked up a 74 auto due to it being my wife’s dream car. It’s all there but has had some hands on it, seems like it was redone in the 90s at some point. Runs but can’t get it to crank at the key it’s been a bit of a headache so I’ve moved on to replacing the rusted fuel tank at this point

Are you gonna restore this? Just curious. I see you you don’t know that much about this car. So are you doing like a discovery video for yourself? Or is this video supposed to entertain.
Just curious. Anyway normally brake systems have larger reservoir for front brakes. You mentioned the back brakes had more fluid. Since the rear reservoir had fluid. Are you sure the back side of reservoir is not for the front brakes?
In many vehicles, the port toward the back of the master cylinder, closer to the firewall, operates the front brakes. With that in mind, the port toward the front of the master cylinder, near the front bumper, is the one that works the rear brakes. This design might seem backward, but it's the standard layout.
So are you currently restoring this or just trying to make it safe and out it all back together. This one is worth doing a full restoration verses just a repairs to get it running.
Also where are the rest of your videos? Part 2?

We are planning on doing more of a resto-mod to this Corvette, since it's already non original and is missing many parts. This video is, as the title states, a look through the car to see what we actually got ourselves into since we've never worked on a Corvette, and like all of our videos is meant to be (hopefully) entertaining.
This brake reservoir has equal portions for front and rear brakes, and I can confirm that the master cylinder on this Corvette is plumbed so that the firewall (rear) side of the reservoir is for the rear brakes. What I meant by there being less fluid in the front reservoir was an indication of the brake fluid level, not the size of the reservoir. The front reservoir was dry due to the leaking caliper lip seals on the front brakes, indicated by a massive puddle of brake fluid under the front wheels.
The current plan is to get it running and road-worthy, then make it a nice daily driver grade car, with a few modern upgrades while maintaining the original style.
As to the other videos, running a UA-cam channel isn't our full time job and making the videos takes time. We just started releasing content this year so it's taking a little while to figure out the process, but we will be releasing more videos in the future.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

Nothing is more expensive than a cheap corvette. Ask me how I know
