1978 Corvette Restoration Part 18 - Roller Top End Kit Arrives plus Oil Pump Installation

The roller top end kit has finally arrived so we go through all of the parts we've received. We also properly clearance and install the new oil pump. More complicated than you might thing!

You're right about having 2 sockets sets. The dirty set, is for engine teardown.

I'm enjoying your Corvette videos! Just wondering about the lock nuts holding the baffle on, they are not the type with nylon inserts? I would think an "all metal type" of lock nut is required.

Not nylon. They are all metal lock nuts.

Or get another tool that is multi use instead of another socket set. I would get an ultrasonic cleaner and clean the sockets…
