predictions for the trailer: -new locale (this one's a given, it's how their marketing operates) -new locale will probably be a forest map, possibly with swamp aspects. speculation: maybe for the "desolation season" it turns more swampy with toxic fumes? I also predict that rather than thunder, this map will have strong rain. -congalala, the monster from the hammer's gear and EITHER the monster from switch axe OR charge blade get shown. -potential for one additional unrevealed returning monster, but I don't think this is a 100% chance. it wouldn't be a fan favourite/flagship, those tend to get revealed a bit later. -chance for the forest's apex (equivalent to railgun wyvern) to be teased (no official name and very little gameplay) -they may show the village things I want to see: -nerscylla -tetsucabra -seltas -any frontier monster that has not made it into the main series yet
My personnal wishlist: -New local with an unusual setting like Rotten Vale or Coral Highland -Teasing the flagship. Please capcom, not a flying, fanged wyvern or Elder Dragon again, give other monster classes their time to shine -the arthropod monster from the CB showcase -at least one Frontier monster. Or bring back Espinas -One of the new towns/villages -the release date maybe -story bits
@@Jaycan I've never played Frontier but I've seen a lot of gameplay of pretty much every monster in the game. Also being a big speculative biology enjoyer, Frontier is a bit too over the top for my liking but a lot of monsters have really cool design and characteristics and with a bit of tweaking, they could fit in Wilds perfectly. Sunbreak's Flamming Espinas also became one of my favorite monsters ever so seeing other Frontier stuff (outside of the new weapon moves) could be interesting. Here's a few I was thinking: -Baruragaru, Pokaradon and Kuarusepusu: three very interesting terrestrial leviathans. With Balahara having the same skeleton, those three could easily come back. I prefer Kuaru's design but Baruragaru crazy vampire behaviour could bring a bit of unhingeness to the game. Pokaradon is cool but I will prioritize the other two -Obidatorasu: I've heard it's supposed to be the lost cousin of Ukanlos and Akantor. So if both of them are back in wilds, introducing they're long lost desert brother could be cool. -Akura Vashimu/Jebia: They're scorpions Carapaceons but they were introduced before Temnocerans existed. So bring them back, change they're classification and there you have some cool Temnocerans that are not only spiders. -Anorupatisu: This one is just a guilty pleasure because I love his sawfish/ice Diablos design but he could be a bit too wtf for Wilds. But as I said, with a bit of tweaking, he could fit. -Forokururu: Because an Alatreon but for ailment is funny. And Bird Wyverns deserve better outside of Yian Garuga. -Shantien: because holy sh*t that thing is so damn gorgeous. And fighting it in a flying ship that crash down in phase 2 in the volcano below is really really cool. There's some more I would like to see but these are the ones that I find the most likely/interesting
I want to see the new monsters they've teased with gear. Otherwise, idk what I want to see from a trailer. But whatever it will be, I'm sure it will blow us away.
If absolutely nothing else, I want a new locale reveal. The Windswept Plains are cool, but it's all we've seen about the game. Save the jaw-dropping reveals for in-game like the Coral Highlands and Rotten Vale, but give me a peak of what the jungle map will look like. Vegetation must look gorgeous in this game
I feel this 1000% all the thumbnails across UA-cam have been this shade of brown/gold since all we have is a desert. That little snippet of Chatacabra at an oasis looks beautiful though!

I want to see several new (or returning but uncomfirmed) monsters, and some longer gameplay showing off some proper weapon movesets in action rather than just the brief snippets we've seen so far.

One of my favorite parts about the weapon trailers is that they haven’t yet shown what the armor/weapons will look like for the “Thor Magala” so it’s not like Rise in which every new monster in the game gets its stuff shown off before release. May also be hinting at a much larger roster of new monsters too. As far as what I want to see tho, some crazy mechanic they haven’t shown yet like they did with switch skills in Rise.

I was in Maximilian Dood chat about a week ago and someone brought up Team Up Focus attacks. Now I'll be disappointed if we don't get those. Also they need to show how skills work when switching weapons during the quest. The safe bet is that even if you wear one armor, the loadout will change (decorations) for instance long sword to hammer. So hammer isn't stuck with quick sheath until you return to HQ.
Facts I talked about this a while ago. Where some skills that used to use swap scroll colors can live on via primary and secondary weapon. In the basics trailer they even called it primary and secondary weapons, so I'm having hope!
Release date for sure. But I’m also pretty sure that they’re going to show more complexity with using the weapons. The current weapon showcases are relatively tame, so CAPCOM will definitely show everything that you can do with them with this upcoming trailer. I’m sure they’ll be showing the flagship as well. Also, if there is a new weapon coming to the series, now would be a good time to introduce it in the upcoming trailer. But that’s just me.
My wish list: .A release date or pre-order editions release .at least two new monsters shown .a new area shown (one with a rain or snow aspect would be cool) .show of how the two weapon mechanic works on field .a returning monster (new is good tho) .more story info (they seem to be cooking)

Good list! By new status do you mean new monsters that use old statuses or the presence of a brand new condition? I think Focus Strikes have to potential to be swappable like Switch Skills used to be.
@@Jaycan New monsters that use existing statuses. Though, now that you've mentioned it, I wouldn't be opposed to new statuses or elements... whatever form those may take. As long as there's a good balance of statuses and elements. I don't want a repeat of RiseBreak where far too many of the monsters were Fire or Poison.

obviously I want to know everything but for the sake of trying to go in blind cause thats the best way to enjoy a game, all I care about for spoilers is weapon moves/mechanics, im still gonna watch what ever they show us, but there's no way they don't spoil everything atleast by the time the game comes out, if there was some way to avoid seeing the flagship(ships?) id do it, but that's the hardest part.
I think we'll see the monsters of the armour we've seen in the weapon showcase plus a better veiw of the apex of the region. As far as the demo i feel like the hard mode will be the thor magala then itll be updated to have a fourth mode for the flagship similar to what they did with the rise demo
I think it depends more on the fiscal year I think Calvin’s Fiscal Year starts in March. If they want the initial sales to be a part of this fiscal year then they’d have to drop it late February at the latest. We’ll see though!

I feel that! I’m thinking that’s like 15 monsters before release which is a great number. Which means a base roster of 40-50 monsters. What you think about that?
@@Jaycan I guess it depends on how big you think wilds is going to be, like world had like 30 ish monsters on release, which is about what I expect from any base mainline game at this point but if we get a roaster of 50 of the bat then il be over the moon especially if I get to discover most of it but I'm setting my expectations at around 30 and to hopefully only see a third of that so 10

It's so much better finding them in-game for the first time and getting the true first opinion in real-time, and not just go full-out showing everything like they did in Rise... Returning monsters making an appearance, I am fine with... I want a true surprise experience tho, for the vast majority of all new ones... I don't even want to see a new map, let my mind cook, and see it first-hand when the time comes, when the game is dropped... Flagship(s) I do like the idea that there is more than one and we have a pair of flagships this go around. I do think that we're going to have a deep starting roster as MH is getting huge. A 50 monster roster to start would be amazing, so knowing maybe 10-15 monsters before release would be nice that we we still get to discover so many in game. I also don't want to see every map, but maybe 2-3 maps shown while having 2-3 still hidden!
i really would love the trailer to be nothing story related. i would love introducing a new weapon and than the rest stating facts. like "let us celebrete your favorite weapon with your SWITCH SKILLS for all 15 weapons ( lets hope ) .and then like some montage of different weapons with different choices/path you can go, kinda like how they did it for silkbinds. Switch skills is my biggest wich for the game or weapon styles. anything that makes me alternate my weapon to fit my playstyle without being constantly annoyed with the weapon. a reveal of those would make sense since the people there playing the demo will reveal it anyway so why not give it polished and in pictures to the outside aswell.
Show me some returning monsters including frontier and a tease at the first title update hopes (nergigante and magnamalo). Also have the volcano and the ice map be the same map
@@Jaycan I just think it would be cool to have both of the og 5th gen flagships to be in also magna would work well with the idea of the pack mechanic like I could totally see him having a unique skill or just an automatic ability on his armor that would scare away packs of monsters since he preys on hoards of monsters( he would also look amazing in higher level graphics)
I really don’t want them to show off a bunch of new monsters. I didn’t like what they did with rises roster. All I want to see is how the blacksmith UI works and maybe one more map with a returning monster on it. I want to go into this game with as little information as possible.
I feel you that’s why I said maybe only 3-4 more monsters especially if we get a new map. That way it’ll be Thor, Flagship and maybe 2 low level monsters from the new map showcased. Blacksmith UI would be amazing it could give us clues to how much the armor skill system has changed. If we get that I would get to theory crafting ASAP!

I do not thing we are getting multiple maps in this game. They made it sound like we where getting one giant open world that we would be traveling from place to place. We are even getting the ability to carry 2 weapons via lizard mount. As for biomes sure but we would have to find it are selves which could play into the demo by being just out of are allowed range.

The current weapon showcases are relatively tame, so CAPCOM will definitely show everything that you can do with them with this upcoming trailer. I’m sure they’ll be showing the flagship as well.
Also, if there is a new weapon coming to the series, now would be a good time to introduce it in the upcoming trailer. But that’s just me.
Yea there is one day between the end of the weapon showcases and the trailer coming out so it maybe possible we get a secret 15th weapon!

.at least two new monsters shown
.a new area shown (one with a rain or snow aspect would be cool)

.a returning monster (new is good tho)

I think new foresty green area (shown in background of windward plains) reveal, with the mystery armor monsters (moth, bird could both fit in a forest)? hell maybe even congalala too. Then, a flagship tease. Maybe even styles coming back from gen????

@@Jaycan I don't expect the flagship at all this trailer in anything more than a teaser so I'm keeping hopes low there, I'm (sadly) expecting another elder dragon flagship so I'm guessing a later reveal.
I honestly can't wait to pick up my Charge Blade once more in this hunt. And the choices for a secondary weapon, oh boy, I can't truly decide what else to bring.
The weapon trailers have been so good! At this point I'm a bit of an omni hunter that dabbles in all 16 weapons, and man its so exciting!

2.) New monsters (Specifically, I want to see new status and elemental monsters)
3.) Old monsters (If there are any other than the Raths)
4.) Confirmation on whether or not fighting styles or a version of switch skills are returning.
Good list! By new status do you mean new monsters that use old statuses or the presence of a brand new condition? I think Focus Strikes have to potential to be swappable like Switch Skills used to be.

Though, now that you've mentioned it, I wouldn't be opposed to new statuses or elements... whatever form those may take. As long as there's a good balance of statuses and elements. I don't want a repeat of RiseBreak where far too many of the monsters were Fire or Poison.

Oh, I will say, as an extension to my desire for returning monsters, I want returning monsters that haven't been seen since before World, INCLUDING Frontier. I feel like asking for Online monsters might be a stretch, but we got both Lavasioth and Espinas. I feel like Frontier should be back on the table at this point. I mean... what better place to bring back Frontier monsters than a game where you explore the frontier of the new world?
What do I wanna see in the gamescom trailer? Jhen Mohran. Is it gonna happen probably/definitely not but It'd be cool.
But in all seriousness I'd love to see more of the village, I'm content on new monsters shown so I wouldn't mind seeing a returning monster or two, and at least one new locale for hunting either Jungle or Volcano personally.

I think we'll see the monsters of the armour we've seen in the weapon showcase plus a better veiw of the apex of the region. As far as the demo i feel like the hard mode will be the thor magala then itll be updated to have a fourth mode for the flagship similar to what they did with the rise demo

I think it depends more on the fiscal year I think Calvin’s Fiscal Year starts in March. If they want the initial sales to be a part of this fiscal year then they’d have to drop it late February at the latest. We’ll see though!

@@Jaycan I guess it depends on how big you think wilds is going to be, like world had like 30 ish monsters on release, which is about what I expect from any base mainline game at this point but if we get a roaster of 50 of the bat then il be over the moon especially if I get to discover most of it but I'm setting my expectations at around 30 and to hopefully only see a third of that so 10

I'm ok with seeing the flagship(s), I guess... but honestly, I don't want any more monsters spoiled... It's so much better finding them in-game for the first time and getting the true first opinion in real-time, and not just go full-out showing everything like they did in Rise... Returning monsters making an appearance, I am fine with... I want a true surprise experience tho, for the vast majority of all new ones... I don't even want to see a new map, let my mind cook, and see it first-hand when the time comes, when the game is dropped... What I DO WANT TO SEE---is an Actual Release Date in the new trailer, at gamescom...
Flagship(s) I do like the idea that there is more than one and we have a pair of flagships this go around. I do think that we're going to have a deep starting roster as MH is getting huge. A 50 monster roster to start would be amazing, so knowing maybe 10-15 monsters before release would be nice that we we still get to discover so many in game. I also don't want to see every map, but maybe 2-3 maps shown while having 2-3 still hidden!
i really would love the trailer to be nothing story related. i would love introducing a new weapon and than the rest stating facts. like "let us celebrete your favorite weapon with your SWITCH SKILLS for all 15 weapons ( lets hope ) .and then like some montage of different weapons with different choices/path you can go, kinda like how they did it for silkbinds. Switch skills is my biggest wich for the game or weapon styles. anything that makes me alternate my weapon to fit my playstyle without being constantly annoyed with the weapon. a reveal of those would make sense since the people there playing the demo will reveal it anyway so why not give it polished and in pictures to the outside aswell.
I honestly do think it’s possible that focus strikes will be swappable and they’re not showing us yet!

@@Jaycan I just think it would be cool to have both of the og 5th gen flagships to be in also magna would work well with the idea of the pack mechanic like I could totally see him having a unique skill or just an automatic ability on his armor that would scare away packs of monsters since he preys on hoards of monsters( he would also look amazing in higher level graphics)

All I want to see is how the blacksmith UI works and maybe one more map with a returning monster on it. I want to go into this game with as little information as possible.
I feel you that’s why I said maybe only 3-4 more monsters especially if we get a new map. That way it’ll be Thor, Flagship and maybe 2 low level monsters from the new map showcased. Blacksmith UI would be amazing it could give us clues to how much the armor skill system has changed. If we get that I would get to theory crafting ASAP!

I hear ya I don't think they will reveal the entire roster this go around. I think Base wilds will end up having around 50ish monsters, so them revealing maybe 10-15 of them seems like a good amount to show while keeping the rest a secret for us to discover!

Lmao I’ve heard they know that we dislike so I am expecting something different this go around. These weapon trailers aren’t showing everything. Some of them leave us with more questions than answers.
I do not thing we are getting multiple maps in this game. They made it sound like we where getting one giant open world that we would be traveling from place to place. We are even getting the ability to carry 2 weapons via lizard mount. As for biomes sure but we would have to find it are selves which could play into the demo by being just out of are allowed range.
We’re getting maps. At Summer Game Fest there was a closed door demonstration where a Capcom rep said “maps in this game are a little more than twice the size of previous games”
